To much inconveniences I won’t be staying here again

Great location. Clean lobby and free breakfast. Refreshing pool.

Too many inconveniences with this hotel. I booked through booking.com. I booked one room for my family. And I booked another room for my mother’s family. When we arrived at 10pm they didn’t have my room only my mom’s room. They were sold out for the night so they accommodated us in a room that was down for service the AC indeed didn’t work in there. By the time we got into this room it was almost midnight. Too much chaos having to pack all our stuff up again the next day and move to a different room that we waited half a day for. We get into the new room and it’s missing a shower curtain, shower Matt, and the shampoo/ conditioner/ body wash soap bottles were empty.

It was ok but the overnight staff (she’s bit full-figured)

The room is spacious

I wasn’t granted of my request to get the reward points during my check-in. And was only given an hour late check-out. I booked for 2 bed and was given a one bed.

Pleasant hotel, nice staff, but definitely problematic for me.

Clean. Breakfast provided. Quiet overall.

We had no service on the tv, and when we went to ask about it, they blamed the weather. I then said “oh, so everyone is having that issue.” The desk associate then basically said no, but that there were a few complaints, but offered nothing to rectify the issue. I paid a little extra for an upgrade in my booking, but was given a different type of room along with no tv service, so I was a bit bothered with my stay here. Also, there was a moment when we left to go grab lunch and come back. We were gone for 30 mins and when we got to the room on the fifth floor, our key wouldn’t work, so we had to go all the way down again for them to activate the key. I honestly felt like I had more problems here than any other hotel, MOTEL even. I was disappointed for the price I paid.

Ok for two nights

Location is ok , size of the room and clearness.

They reception didn’t have the right info about their mailing address , they only had starfoam cups for tea and coffee , which are so unhealthy and their coffee machines in the room were very poor quality plus breakfast was very basic .

Hotel right next to a busy highway.

The price was ok for Austin, I guess.

If you want breakfast at Soneta, you really have to be there really. Also, the staff at the reception is sometimes cold, sometimes on the defensive.

Super comfortable, Relaxing, & Pet Friendly!

The place was amazing. Conveniently located off I35, but not too close to hear the highway traffic. Large room with the most comfortable beds! The pillows were awesome as well and there were plenty for each bed! Staff was super friendly and helpful when our remote wasn’t working for the TV. We will definitely be back! Also so glad they are pet friendly! My pet has to have medication so they have to travel with us. This makes traveling so much easier! Thank you!

The television stations weren’t the best. There was one free HBO station, and other stations were okay. The on demand was nice, but I’m not going to buy a movie at a hotel for $20.

Great value

The rooms were much bigger than expexted. Felt like a small apartment. Great value for your money vs other hotels i looked at.

Being picky here but if they had already prepared oatmeal for breakfast instead of instant oatmeal, that would have helped

If you’re on a tight budget, it’s barely decent. I would not recommend.

The price, location, and front desk staff.

The cleanliness of the room, the elevator, the fact that the cleaning staff tried to enter our room in the morning before checkout although the door was obviously locked. She unlocked the door and even attempted to open the door, luckily I had the security lock flipped over so she couldn’t get in, but that was a rude awakening.

Net hotel, ideaal voor een doorreis

Hotel zag er netjes uit, ligt alleen wat afgelegen. Directe omgeving oogt niet heel veilig. Kamers waren netjes en erg ruim. Leuke zithoek met een bankstel. Ontbijtkeuze was erg beperkt.

Nice and comfortable

Updated furnishings and decor. Very comfortable and spacious room.

Air conditioner worked but apparently works on a presence sensor. Woke up in the middle of the night to a hot room because there was no motion for a while and the ac turned off

Staff/location was great but that’s about it

The staff was very polite

We had to move rooms because a tv in our first room was broken. When I brought this up, the staff told me they would have a maintenance worker bring a new tv, but after hours of waiting, we went back to the lobby only to find that the maintenance man quit, and we would be getting a discount price along with a new room. I never heard back on the discount after asking. However I won’t say this is the staff member we spoke with fault as she was very polite and seemed very busy

They need to rethink their policies

Good location. Rooms were large and comfortable.

No housekeeping service during a 3 night stay. Inadequate notice of this was provided when booking the stay. The breakfast selections were pitiful and breakfast ended at 8:30 too.

Poor service

Never got breakfast. They served breakfast at 6 am to 8 am. It supposed to be until 11 am or so.. Never got my room clean the week I was there. No room service at all. We asked for it and they said we had to tell front desk and so we did and never got room service. We had to ask for new towels and bed sheet and put them on our self. We had to put the dirty towels and sheets and trash outside the door. Also when booking the room. Never the less did it say we had to pay $150 or essential. A deposit for that. And if we didn't use it. Like get any thing from the lobby like drinks or what ever they had. That I would get reimbursement my money back... well that was a lie I never got my $150 back. And I called up there and they said get with your bank so I did and nothing showed it was return back to my back. So I 📞 up there again and still got no answer why I didn't get my deposit back. Staff was real poor. Stuck up. Not friendly. No kind of help with them. They were rude.. we had to fix the light in the restroom cause it went out so we went to the service desk and told them. They just gave us a light bulb to put in our self. No maintenance to put it on. Like we are there to enjoy our self not to do there job.

Brianna at the front desk was outstanding and very professional!

This used to be a Hyatt Place with a great breakfast, clean rooms, and good amenities. Under Sonesta the hotel looks more run down, the breakfast was poor, and the amenities were cheap. When I returned to my room at 6:00pm I discovered they forgot to clean my room and provide clean towels. Someone at the front was nice enough to bring fresh towels. The attached photo shows the tiny sliver of soap Sonesta provides for the bathroom sink next to the large soap bar provided by a Hyatt Place where I stayed during the same trip.
