We found the staff to be, really kind and helpful. We came during a snowstorm, so not everything was open. However, we enjoyed a lovely meal, watched a movie in their quaint movie theatre. It was an amazing restful overnight getaway!

After an experience at a Hilton property a few months ago that was riddled with short staffing issues and questioning cleanliness, reduced breakfast buffet options, hot tub not working an someone to fix not on the property sorry...I was hoping similar issues had not come to Semiahmoo. They have NOT! I particularly loved the beds, and the wonderful linens that were pure white, not to disguise any stains with floral prints or dark colors. Clean as could be. The view from our room toward Surrey during the windstorm 11/4/22 was breathtaking.
Everything was excellent. I was anticipating short staff issues but they were stepped up. Instead of subtracting amenities, we found new amenities such as indoor pickle ball courts and smores kits available at the front desk for the bon fire on the beach :)

very clean. Gorgeous room. Quiet
Service was subpar. Your breakfast server had zero support from the other service staff. The rest of the staff stood around or was walking aimlessly. Customer beverages were running empty and the server was having to run his own food with 2 support front house staff doing nothing. The hostess was having to bus tables when the server assistant was literally doing nothing. There was zero briefing by the front desk staff about the property amenities. A QR code does NOT replace hospitality! For the resort price we were pretty disappointed in the lack of customer service and lack of special service touches (I would hope whomever reads this knows what that is being that special service touches are Hospitality 101. ex. Briefing your guests on the premises at check in, making sure drinks don’t go empty, touching the table every 20min or so, etc). There is a standard that rides on the name Semiahmoo and unfortunately that standard of care was not observed this weekend.

Location and views are superb! Amenities are outstanding!
Restaurant Staff didn’t seem prepared for a full weekend of bookings.

The place is fabulous, the staff is friendly and accommodating, the views are breathtaking, the restaurant is delicious and is just a great place to stay!
The small selection in the pantry for after hours snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.

The resort has a lot to offer. The pool was large and clean and there was plenty of seating on the deck. The hot tub was also nice and there was a ping pong table on the deck if you needed another activity besides swimming or lounging. The beachfront restaurant was ok. Nice view but limited menu and the wait staff was just ok. Still, nice to have an on-site place to eat since the resort is a bit out of the way. We drove to the golf course for dinner and the food selection and service was much better. Also a really great view. The free smore fixings and community beach bonfires made a perfect end of the day activity for our family. Our stay was short so we didn't get to partake in biking or water-related activities but we would definitely be up for it next time!
The price of the room is pretty high and the room was noisy. The walls and/or floors are thin so our beds were literally shaking from people walking up and down the hallway. The room description claimed it was a "lawn view" on Booking.com which translated to parking lot view at the hotel. Although the prices were already high, I would spring for a water view on the next stay. The views from the water side of the hotel are amazing!

We always enjoy meals at Packers. The pizza was a really fine surprise. The women who waited on us were wonderfully patient with us 80 plus year olds.
The reservations systems were confusing and annoying. We tried for weeks to book a dinner at Packers bar and were never sure because the systems defaulted to other carriers. One platform booked our room as a waterview as we requested and then after a week booking.com notified us that we had a balconey room not facing the water. The front desk clerk gave us the waterview room gratis when she heard my complaint and confusion. We love coming to eat at Packers and really hope to manage a reservation again later this month. I also hope to find a way to book rooms easily and transparently without dealing with booking.com.

The beach is nice
Dated rooms look like The Overlook hotel in The Shining. Old uncomfortable furniture, tiny micro-fridge just sitting on the floor in the sitting area - don’t bother taking your leftovers back from the restaurant- it won’t fit in your fridge and the only way to reheat it is in the lobby’s microwave. Sketchy internet, limited channels on the TV - bring your own hdmi cable. No housekeeping apparently - they didn’t come to our rooms once in 5 days. Limited food options - there are a total of 5 entrees in the dining room, but unless you have reservations way in advance you won’t get in anyway, and they close at 8. Bar is ok, closes at 10 on weekends. No room service. Be prepared to be charged extra for every single activity including the bonfires. We’ve come here every 4th of July - this year was awful. There isn’t even a bathtub in the teeny bathroom.
Never again with the $500 per night cost and no amenities.

Staff were pretty helpful. Laura was exceptional and seemed to be the only one who really knew anything
Love the bay and the birds and other wildlife
$47 for an overcooked-we asked for medium rare-and very mediocre steak??? Never again
Food in general was inconsistent. One meal great and the other bad

Setting is awesome. Food is good. Staff was really nice.
New rooms need slippers or rugs. Super cold floors to wake up to.

it is a grand seaside resort, located on a finger of land surrounded on three sides by salt water. there are all the amenities that one could hope for: restaurant, bar, hot steam room, sauna, full gym, indoor running track, spa services, pickleball courts, hot tub, swimming pool, game rooms, well appointed public rooms with fireplaces. And beach walks, eagles and shorebirds of all sorts. to me it’s a magical place.

Restaurant was good, location was great, staff was very friendly.
I would suggest putting hooks for robes and towels in bathroom. The bags of ice were much too big for the ice buckets in the rooms. It will be nice to have room cleaned every day when Covid is over.

Our room had an amazing view out over the ocean, with the Canadian coast just a little ways off. The "S'more Pack" provided by the hotel to roast at the bonfires on the beach were SO fun! The pool was also terrific and fun for the whole family. We ate at the restaurant on site "Packers" and it was ok, but there were good views. I can see that this area would be awesome in the summer, with a big outdoor patio, but in February, we were happy to sit indoors. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Really great family get away!
There was some construction on the first floor (I think water damage?) and so we were changed from the suite I booked to a double queen room. That was frustrating, but the room we had was pretty awesome.

food bar and spa great.
Our neighbors partied till one a.m. Called the front desk, they sent security up at 12; a.m. Quieted down for about 20 minutes, then back to outrageous. Called for a room change, none available. Asked for a full refund of room rate, got $100.00 off next morning. No free night or more money back, Very disappointing, to say the least.

I was able to book at the last minute as we were unable to make it over the border to Canada waiting on a COVID test. Front desk staff friendly and helpful! Very pet friendly! Fantastic, serene location right on the beach. Great bonfires at night to make s'mores!
The woman working in the coffee shop was incredibly rude to my daughter and me. She was abrupt, sighed and rolled her eyes when I asked her a simple question. Really was disappointing customer service, and the first time I have ever been treated this way at this resort. The tsunami warning the kept us off the beach (glad the hotel was concerned for our safety).
