I loved how everybody in the hostel would sit on the balcony and talk. It was really fun and we met some great people.
It was really difficult to lock the bathroom doors sometimes

Pick wrong hotel for me. Hotel is targeted for younger people not for older adults. I left and got charged which understandably. I recommend that need to explain about hotel.
I did not stay. I had go to another location Cy.

Great location. Fun events. Great staff.
The matress is uncomfortable, and the bunk beds shake.
4.0
Proximity to Wrigley Field. We could legitimately hear the concerts- crisply!
Small lockers.
4.5
Pleasant environment, friendly staff, good kitchen facility, good locality, proximity to the Chicago city train network (CTA)
No breakfast, rooms were having bad smell at times, a bit expensive compared to the overall value for money offered
4.0
Location. You can literalmente hear the music performances at Wrigley Field CLEARLY while sitting on the back porch!
The back porch closes kinda early.

Shower is just a dribble.

Clean
Says bathroom in private room but is shared. Says parlong but have to request 2 days in advance. Have to buy the cleaning supplies. All * on the list offset the cost and a regular hotel would have been cheaper.

I think this place is the best equipped in Chicago for a true hostel experience. Be prepared to interact with people here because there are many great, small, common spaces that will have you chatting with others. It's loaded with character and the vibe is right. There are colorful painted walls and murals that give the place a personal touch compared to corporate hostels with meaningless signage. Cold filtered water on tap is great, with complimentary tea and coffee. Large clean bathrooms throughout the hostel with showers. Towels are provided, and staff was excellent. Loved the common room and outdoor back patio. Met a lot of great people.
The hostel needed some maintenance here and there. Oddly there are 2 kitchens on each floor but signs request guests only use the one by the back patio. It was difficult to find outlets in the room that aren't worn out, and none are up by the top bunks- so I wasn't able to charge devices overnight. Complimentary breakfast is only on weekend mornings.

Location was great. I love that it's LGBT+ friendly and definitely felt welcomed/at home.

Location was right on the train line and next to the stadium. On the day I checked out, staff were sympathetic to just how creepy one of my roommates was, after reading the note he left on my bed. Unfortunately, it was too late.
Kitchen and Bathrooms were dirty, not enough lockers or electrical outlets for the number of beds in room 8, high volume of creepy guys staying here and staff leave at 8pm....so no one to help when things go awry. Also, it's party Central (ie loud until 4am) on the weekend since no staff are there to enforce quiet hours. Very very drafty windows by bed (it was 34F and raining) and I ended up getting sick, despite using a down vest in addition to sheet and blanket for sleeping.

It was great anyways
2.5
It’s well located and staff was friendly. Good for a short stay.
my mattress was very uncomfortable, and the dorm had too many beds for its size. As a woman I felt insecure to be in a mixed dorm packed with men. I could barely sleep. bathrooms on ground floor smelled bad and the smell reached the front door.

Nice location. Great facility. Comfortable and pleasant!

I liked the other guests they were nice
The woman at the front seat was very rude . I am a gay woman, and she made me feel highly uncomfortable. She brings her dog in. I was scared of dogs but she completely ignored me. I will never stay here again solely because of her. Her name is Ida or etaa or whatever.

Safe, Clean, amazing atmosphere, awesome location
aren’t enough outlets in dorm rooms
0.5
not enough blankets or pillows and they didn’t allow me bring my own blankets or pillows
4.0
Particularly the bed, noisy, edge lacked support, felt as one would roll out if laying too close.. We were there to sleep only, and it felt like the room was over priced for a facility w/o bathroom in room.
