The architecture of the hotel, the restaurant, the comfortable room and bed

The was by far the worst visit ever at this location. We wanted to celebrate our anniversary but things didn’t go as planned. Initial accommodation was not good, we changed rooms (paid upgrade) too a smaller room and received a condescending response when mentioning this to “Patrick”the night manager. Robert “the chauffeur” was nice until he referred to my wife as sweetie. I found that a bit disrespectful and in appropriate.
It gets worse
Andrew who was filling in from Baltimore in Valet couldnt do much regarding the $120 in cash stolen out of my center counsel as the evening valet rummaged through my vehicle removing items. Needles to say I will never stay or refer anyone to the Hotel Dupont again. Oh and needless to say don’t valet . They are stealing items from vehicles . So frustrating that my anniversary was ruined as the was an unpleasant customer experience that I don’t want to ever have agin in life.
Car service other than one small comment that didn’t sit well with me. Hard to find anything good from this trip.😦😕🙁

Beautiful large room. Comfortable bed. Quiet
The hot water was barely luke warm after running for a few minutes. I could not take a shower. The air conditioner rattled all night and I did not sleep well.

location
never cleaned my room once in the 3 nights I stayed there even though I informed the front desk. they also don’t have anyone opening the doors of the hotel when you have huge suitcases. the rooms are super outdated and the carpet in the room stank and had stains. overall, a shabby hotel and not worth the price

The Hotel Dupont is an iconic property. It lived up to and even exceeded our expectations. They have managed to preserve the original style without seeming worn or overly dated. The staff is friendly, helpful, and professional.
Nothing.

Love the history of the hotel and beautiful ambiance.
The bartender was not very attentive. Was having a better time with guests at the bar. When we asked about a good bourbon…. he poured us one and didn’t tell us it was $95 a glass. We felt taken advantage of.

Great location and it felt like we were on the Titanic. Loved the interior.
The air in our room never stopped blowing cold air and it was chilly out, even though we tried to adjust it to auto and finally just turned it off.

iconic but past its prime.
we stayed on a Sunday and there are no services and the internet was completely useless. housekeeping demanded to know when we would be leaving….by banging on our door at 8:20 am. for the price tag I could have had a much better experience at a one or two star hotel. total waste of money for what should have been a fun treat for the family.

Beautiful historic building and a very friendly staff.
The details of options available to us, was fed to us via piecemeal versus giving all the information upfront.

location is ok
this is the most scamming 5-star hotel I ever encountered. 1. under staffed, extremely slow delivery or no delivery of request at all; 2. very unprofessional and impolite staff, merely motel standard; 3. although it’s an old hotel, the new renovation reflects extremely cheap and poor taste. Lobby looks vintage, room floor hallway looks cheap; 4. very cheap toiletries provided. slippers are worse than motels.

Restaurant was great. Staff was exceptional and very accommodating. Hotel was absolutely beautiful. Made a wonderful weekend very special.

The room was spacious with a sitting area. The bathroom was luxurious. Everything was perfect.
There in not much to say negative. My remembrance of the experience was top notch from start to finish.
