Great stay in Ashland

Beautiful hotel, inside and out. I loved the turn of the century decor and antiques. Used the business center and it was perfect for my needs. Breakfast was very good for us. Location was right off of the main highway but it was very quiet. Right across the street from Walgreens and gas station and close to fast foods and a beautiful park.

We had a queen room which was adequate for us. Thought the price was a little high but we would stay there again.

This hotel is all about location. Beautiful views of the marina and Lake Superior.

Breakfast was good. Lots of variety and well tended to by the hostess.

Bar didn't open until late in the day. Would have been nice to enjoy a drink and look out at the lake mid-afternoon.

The hot tub shown in the pool room picture on the website has been cemented in. There is no hot tub. The bathroom door didn't latch so it couldn't lock. You can't access the hotel from the lake side after 9:00 so you have to walk around the entire outside of the hotel to get in from the marina. The phone in the room did not work.

Overall satisfied.

The night front desk clerk was overly chatty. Woke up early for coffee and he talked non-stop about himself. Never once asked us if we were enjoying our stay at the hotel. Very annoying.

we will definitely return and stay here even though our destination is Bayfield about 30 minutes away.

Beautiful hotel and location for a city / town that is more industrial looking than some others on Superior. 1st floor rooms had super tall ceilings. not functional but it sure feels special. great balconies to sit on, fun bar in the hotel, right on the Marina and a walking/biking path the follows the shoreline. The bed was amazing.

no Kleenex in our room (box was empty. Night desk attendant was creepy AF (though pleasant, still made me and other guest uncomfortable, sorry)

Pretty building, engaging view, but the room did not meet my expectations. Still, good value.

I thought the room was charming, and the building was romantic.

The bed and pillows were lumpy. I'd asked for an accessible room, and I suppose under some definition it was, if you count accessible as having hand rails in the bathroom. The toilet was the low, standard height, and the bowl was small, difficult to use for a person with my physical issues, the tub was hard for me to get in and out of. This is not what I expect in an accessible room.

Best Hotel I’ve ever stayed at!

Gorgeous interior design. loved walking the inside and just enjoying the hardwoods. Classic looking fireplace and nice eating area. Overall amazed with our stay.

Not a thing we didn’t like. Something interesting around every corner!

The place was beautiful,

Staff at desk when we checked in was totally confused. First she put is in room110 and said my guest had already checked in when in fact he was standing right beside me. She moved some papers around and the took my room key back and gave us room 220 which was suppose yo be a king size bed it wasnt.

Chairs in room were not comfortable... coffee maker in cabinet with shelf above making it extremely hard to pour water into coffee maker without spilling.
