The location is perfect for all of the activities we had planned in and around the Black Hills. The facility itself was very pretty, clean and well kept. The staff and owners were very friendly and extremely helpful.
They just need to add a little more storage in the bathroom and bedroom.

Very comfortable.
Centrally located.
Lora and Dan, the owners, treat us like old friends.
We love everything about this property!

The owner was fantastic! Clean, spacious cabin. our only complaint was too little space in the “kitchen” with no adequate place to eat. We had planned to cook more.

Good location and cute property, well kept and maintained. The owners were very friendly and we talked to them each day. Sat by the fire pit one night and met other travelers. Very enjoyable. Also was a quiet peaceful place to stay.

The warm welcome. How kind and friendly Lora and Dan were when they welcomed us. It was so pleasant and the stay in the cottage was so comfortable. My daughter loved the trees that were in the back hillside. You could see it on her face how the scenery made her feel. My little grand baby had a fun time crawling from room to room. Loved the stay.
There really wasn't anything not to like.

The cottage we stayed in Mammoth was so adorable inside and out. it is not far from Rapid City, Mt. Rushmore, and Crazy Horse. We also were not far from Deadwood. The owners Lora and Dan were sweet and hospitable.
We loved everything

The location is wonderful, just between Keystone and Hill City. The tap room is a great place to have a drink right close to the room.
The place is close to the highway, so there's a small amount of highway noise.

It was a great experience and a great value. Beautifully decorated and GREAT Location!! Easy to find.
I dont.think there was anything we didn't like!! The only think that would have made it perfect was maybe a little spot to buy stuff to make smores for tge fire nights. That would have saved us a trip I to town. But totally not a necessity!

Location and property were excellent.
The only thing that could be improved upon is the WiFi. It was too weak where we stayed.

The owners were extremely hospitable and welcoming. The grounds were meticulous as were the accommodations. Definitely will return.

Owners Dan and Lora were outstanding! It was raining on out evening of arrival and they called to make sure we were ok with directions in the dark. Also gave insight into Mt Rushmore evening illumination ceremony. Cabin was perfect! Beds comfortable, shower hot! Coffee in office in am. Didn’t get to experience evening campfire due to rain. Arrived too late for tap room, but what an awesome place for a drink and conversation. Truly unique!
Dan and Lora also helped with travel directions the following day.
WiFi was spotty but that was the area, not Black Elk.

It was really cute! The staff was so friendly and helpful! They let us borrow their laundry detergent!
We were only there one night. So it is hard to say. I would stay there again if in the area.

The cabin was exceptionally clean. It’s a wonderful place to stay with easy access and short travel time to most locations.
The owners are amazing people who take pride in everything they do and they get to know everyone personally.
Very relaxing!
Nothing.

Wonderful, friendly staff! Cleanliness was exceptional and MUCH APPRECIATED! A few tiny suggestions would be to upgrade the quality of toilet paper and Kleenex. A couple of bottles of water in the fridge would have been outstanding. We had an amazing stay and will most definitely be back! Thank you!
