We had an excellent experience and would definitely come back and recommend it to others.

Clean and comfortable. Loved the double shower in the bathroom! Many thoughtful touches like sleeping masks, bathrobes - everything needed to relax after a journey.

Perfect location to explore Cape Ann. Close to many great seafood restaurants and antique shops.

Our room in the Inn building had a great view of the Essex River salt marsh. The room was very clean.

We were happy with everything.

Great hotel

This hotel is so adorable. We stayed in the main house, which was built in the 1780s. It had some original features, but was nicely updated. The bathroom was great. The bed was comfortable. The location was far enough away from Salem to allow for quiet nights, but close for a drive or a train ride.

An historic property that’s been nicely updated, is comfortable, and has frontage on the Essex marshlands.

Located next to Essex marshlands. Large historic room with recently renovated bathroom. Comfortable bed.

The room arrangement was somewhat odd in that the refrigerator & microwave were on the other side of the room than the coffee maker. Our room faced the street, which is quite busy into the evening

Serene, comfortable Inn located in perfect picturesque setting.

Loved the location! So beautiful and quiet. Room was also a good size and great bathroom

The bed was too soft and the Internet didn’t work the whole time.

The location for touring around Cape Ann was terrific. Also, several decent restaurants within walking distance. Enjoyed sitting out by river sipping drinks in the evening. Also, close proximity to beaches.

Poor internet service in the Inn portion of the property.

The staff was very helpful and accommodating and changed our room to a much more quiet one on the backside of the building.

The original room in the Inn was ground level and faced the main street, so there was a lot of traffic noise. The motel room didn't have a coffee machine.

Great proximity to Gloucester and Rockport at an affordable price.

The room was large and comfortable. Even though the inn is old, the bathroom was updated and modern. we would stay there again.

Beautiful setting, lovely staff, just a bit too much road noise.

Lovely, large room in the old inn part. Beautiful furnishings, very comfortable bed and lovely shower room. Robes and slipper provided, plus coffee machine. It also had a gas fire in the room which was nice on a chilly evening.

The only negative was the road noise. Situated on the main road traffic was heard from early in the morning til late.

Comfy beds. Very clean. Great location on the river with several great restaurants and a brewery withing walking distance.

Beautiful views of the Essex river and Marsh. Comfy bed and Plush bathrobes made our stay cozy!

We would have liked maid service and someone on property during the day. We needed a few things, but staff was not on property except for check in.

nice upgrades

view patio/deck bed was comfy the bathroom was awesome and the shower had good water pressure-beautiful upgrades- unfortunately I didn’t take a picture

the stairs are very narrow and very steep in the guest house -had recent knee surgery

Shea's Riverside Inn was amazing!!!!

The balcony from our room had a great view of the river and town.. Our room was perfect and clean. The staff was amazing!!!

The tent outside attached to the Restaurant took away from the view of the area. Was ugly too look at and was never utilized.
