One of the standout qualities of Plaza la Reina is undoubtedly the exceptional service provided by their dedicated staff, who go above and beyond to ensure every guest feels like royalty. There were plenty of restaurants nearby to get meals.
I booked two rooms that should have been the same, one for my adult son and one for my husband and me. Upon checkin, we were told that my husband & I got an upgrade. We went to my son's room first, a magnificent, spacious room right off the plaza with a king-size bed. We then went to the "upgrade," which appeared to be smaller in square footage and had only a queen-sized bed--so, they gave one person a king-size bed and two people a queen-size bed. It had a little balcony, but the doors to it would not latch. We returned to the front desk where the man there told us they were sold out so probably couldn't give us a different room. His colleague, however, said she had another room available with a king-size bed. Yes, it did, but it was the smallest of the three rooms we saw, not off the patio but down a hallway, and the view from the room was the side of another building and two dumpsters. The sink was also not cleaned properly. I was not happy at all with either the "upgrade" or the final room. Considering we paid the same amount for both rooms, we really got the shaft on the room for my husband and me.

Good location , spacious rooms
Room service was disappointing, we requested room service to be done daily , however our rooms were not cleaned on a daily basis some days not cleaned at all. Front desk were friendly and took notes but the issue wasn’t resolved.

Facilities such as washer/dryer, kitchen, staff, parking expensive but super convenient.
No kitchen ware in the kitchen, had to buy knifes and boards, etc. Housekeeping was not done if not asked and some days was not donw when we asked. Shortage of towels. Annoyed to be asking them to do all the time

Nice decor and vibe. Very good location
Service was sometimes not the best. There was no soap in the rooms and only one set of towels even though the room was booked for three. The sofa bed was not made and when i asked if they could have it done while we were out when we got back it had not been done. So we were given sheets and had to do it ourselves

Location was great, we were working at UCLA and could not find a better location
Leaving aside that the couch mattress was a nightmare to sleep, this could have been a pass and my review could have been just ok / fine.
However, what I never experienced is that a business, particularly a hotel, ghosts a past host by no answering an e-mail, booking.com chat, or even call JUST to claim the invoice for my stay. I don't even know if this is legal, but truth is that I left the property with the concierge stating to me: "in a few minutes you'll receive your invoice via e-mail" and it has been more than 2 weeks and several e-mail communications and a single reply to one of them stating "Working on it". I need this invoice to claim expenses back to my company and I don't know exactly what the management of this business is doing, no customer care at all to just devote less than five minutes to send me an invoice? Unbelievable.

location, size of suite
room was dirty (there was dog kibble on the carpet and wood floors did not appear to have been mopped in a long time), sofa bed was uncomfortable and did not have any blankets or pillows on it, requested towels 4x before they were brought to room, room was never serviced during our stay

The property is beautiful. I love staying at this location because it is the perfect spot for experiencing westwood at night.
i had a warm reception with one of the staff members, but ended up having a bitter check out with whom ever decided it was okay to storm in our room the next morning.

Great service, very comfortable bed, well-supplied kitchen, rooftop terrace for relaxing, charming Spanish architecture, convenient location
Lacked plugs for lamps, etc. next to bed

The location was great as I was visiting my daughter who is at UCLA. Lots of restaurants nearby, and other convenience stores also. This more than made up for the hotel not having its own restaurant or room service. The room was large a separate living area with cooking facilities which came in handy also. Cleanliness appears to be a major focus area as Martina who serviced my room did her work thoroughly. I had a room that opened into a pretty courtyard. All the staff I met were friendly, attentive, courteous and keen to ensure that I enjoyed my stay. Albert was a stand-out at reception and very supportive. A hidden gem of a hotel!!! I would highly recommend for solo, couples and family visits!!!

Nice! Near UCLA. Everything ok!

This hotel is very nice and well located for visiting UCLA and access to the amenities in Westwood. Our room was large and had many windows overlooking the street but was quiet. Direct access to the parking garage from the elevator is so much better than valet parking. The staff was very friendly as well.
The couch in our room could have been more comfortable but that's a pretty minor complaint.

We stayed at Plaza la Reina few times. We love the Spanish-style building and interior design. The room is spacious; and the bed is comfortable.

The kitchen is great to have but there’s a lack of a few necessities like a good useable knife, a cutting board, and a toaster.
VERY low lighting makes reading nearly impossible. Romantic perhaps but not useful! Towels are soft but not at all absorbent..
