Everyone was so friendly and polite it made the stay a joy!

I was on a road trip with my family, coming from Chicago, and we ended up arriving later than I expected. According to my GPS, we were expected to arrive shortly after midnight.
We stopped to take a dinner break about a couple of hours away and I thought I’ll just call the property to let them know we’ll be arriving later than expected and to ask if there’s going to be someone at the front desk to check in with.
I called them to make sure it’ll be okay to check in late and instead of answering the question they asked for the name on the reservation. It was fine, I didn’t think much of it, I said my name and then spelled it out. The person on the other end repeated the spelling totally wrong, so I spelled it out again slowly and clearly. And he was still repeating it wrong. So I decided to spell it out with NATO phonetics to help him understand, as one does. And he yelled at me “I AM ASKING YOU TO SPELL YOUR NAME” quite rudely. I told him “that’s what I’m doing” and I spelled my name clearly (without phonetics) again. He again, very rudely, said “we do not have a reservation with that name!” and hung up the phone.
I was shocked. I realize my name is not “John Smith” but I also don’t have an accent and I spelled my name very clearly, and even tried to be extra helpful using phonetics. I was shocked at how I was treated.
I called back since I still needed the answer and I in fact did have a reservation contrary to what this person claimed.
Someone else answered the phone and was equally rude. This one asked me my reservation number instead. I has to dig into my emails to find a number that resembled a confirmation number. I gave it to him clearly, not to repeat the previous mishap. He tells me that it’s not the right number.
I was furious at this point. I just want to know when’s the latest I can check in. Why do you need my name or confirmation number. Just answer the simple question.
I was seriously considering making a booking elsewhere.

I liked the layout of the room. I also liked the location with how close it was to food and stores.
The breakfast could have been a bit better but it was decent.

The breakfast Great! Didn't need to leave the building for breakfast that morning, I was exhausted after a long drive. I ate and went back to sleep lol. The floor was nice, quiet and peaceful. Staff was also very helpful and greeting.

The bed was comfortable and the kitchenette in the King Studio was really nice. I was happy to see the fridge had room for everything and all the plates, silverware, and cups were available. That made the stay very convenient.
When we arrived, the afternoon check-in staff and cleaning crew were very nice; however, the morning check-out and kitchen crew were very off-putting. I forgot my key in the room and the front desk person wouldn't even look at me knocking at the door. I had to call the front desk to get her attention because she was watching inappropriate TikToks loudly on her phone. Our bathroom door wouldn't close either because the bottom hinge was falling off. The weed smell throughout the hotel was another problem, but I can understand that the crew can't do much about people stinking.

nothing everything was perfect

nothing
The room was not vacuumed- the pull out couch/bed had cracker crumbs all over it and stains ...room 218... there were still sheets on it from the previous guests. I had to change the bedding. The general appearance was not good. Plus, there was no offer for housekeeping & no one cleaned our room. Very disappointing & we will not stay there again.

Second stay, upon entering room it was very cold! Air was left on & it was heavily raining outside at about 40 degrees. I noticed a used paper towel roll in the kitchen as soon as entering the room and by this being my second stay I realized there were no dish soap like before. I proceeded to throw the paper towel away and there’s an bin full of TRASH! Now, I’m questioning the integrity of the room? Corners were clearly cut and with Covid that is just absolutely unethical! Informed front desk and was provided with cleaning products that I requested. Was informed that it’ll be noted and that was it. Another room, discount or free stay just something for the quality of the room would’ve been sufficient!
