Warning! I don't recommend this hotel to anyone. The manager was hysterical and agressive. After having had a normal discussion in our room, another guest complained to the front desk that we were being loud. We made sure to be more quiet after that, but still received another complaint. When we asked to be moved to another room so that we wouldn't accidentally disturb this other seemingly very sensitive guest, the manager got upset. We explained that we didn't dare talk at all in the room now, but then she just asked us to leave. We said again that we gladly would move to another room, and only in the worst case we would accept a refund and leave. The manager refused to do either, and when we tried reasoning with her she said that we were trespassing and called the police. They actually came and we had a good experience with them, they were respectful and nice to us. They quickly saw everything seemed to be in order with us and regretted our situation, but couldn't prevent the manager for throwing us out from her own property. So we had to leave without any shelter for the night and without a refund. For no reason. It was bizarre and disgraceful. I warn everyone for this "hotel", more of a motel by the way, and costly for what it is. Or should be, if they don't throw you out for no reason.

Spacious room, tea/coffre in the room, very comfortable bed, great shower pressure, kind and welcoming staff.
Breakfast could be a little better. The english muffins were stale, but this is not a big deal. I imagine this is not typical in season.

I recently stayed at the Sandwich Inn and Suites, and I regret that the experience was overwhelmingly disappointing. Expecting a comfortable and clean room for my three-day stay, Sandwich Inn and Suites provided nothing but the opposite.
Firstly, the room's cleanliness - or lack thereof - was immediately apparent. Cobwebs adorned the corners of the ceiling as if it were a decorative choice. Even more shocking was the sight of dried boogers on the walls and dirty sheets on the bed. The hotel staff completely overlooked basic room sanitation.
However, the staff's response when I addressed these issues truly solidified my decision to cut my stay short. Rather than expressing concern or offering a solution, I was met with skepticism. "I am not calling you a liar, but I find it hard to believe," was the response I received. Such a reaction is both dismissive and completely unprofessional.
Ultimately, I felt compelled to check out early due to the unsanitary conditions and the less-than-accommodating staff. I sincerely hope potential guests reconsider before booking their stay at Sandwich Inn and Suites.

This was our second visit, definitely came back because it's we liked it so much before. Rooms are good-sized, clean and updated. Beds were comfy, and it was quiet sleeping even though it's close to a busy road.
Love the grounds and plantings.
Breakfast room had a nice variety of items.
The only negative comment is that the person behind the desk in the breakfast room was pretty grumpy, but I'm guessing that's because she'd had to cross the bridge through the construction...

I've stayed here before and loved it. This time was a totally different experience. I am under the impression it's changed ownership...
The issue was that twice during our stay, our room was open when we came back. We were gone from early morning to very late because we were visiting family. First time, I thought maybe someone didn't shut the door well. Second time, I secured the room myself before we left. Manager said she'd look into it and call me, which hasn't happened yet. I did speak to the police but I don't think anything was missing so it's nothing criminal, yet. But, something was up and the fact that the nice lady at the front desk was more concerned than the manager is very alarming considering its her actual job to manage the property and situations such as this when they arise. I'm terribly disappointed and will be finding alternate lodging for future visits. Also, they called to take my payment but because I booked 3rd party, they couldn't provide me with a receipt. They charged my card quickly though. Definitely, not the same quaint New England Inn we fell in love with the couple times we stayed prior to ownership change. Sad. Also, they no longer provide clean towels or empty your trash for a 4 night stay. They said you have to request it when I asked at check out. No mention at booking, check in, or signs posted. That's the least of the issues though.

Pretty property beautiful location
I asked for early check in received email stating it was approved. When I got there it was denied. She was rude about it. I traveled 3 hours. Couldn’t get in. She would not allow me to use a rest room! I had to go down the street to another hotel a family member was at !

The room was large and comfortable and had a table where we could eat a takeout meal. The receptionist referred us to several good restaurants in the immediate area.. The breakfast was very good.
The room had paper-thin walls and we were awakened by some late night arrivals. Even normal conversation carried easily through the walls.

Broken heating, staff gave extra blanket (very thin) but refused to find a better solution. They are not taking guests seriously when there is a problem. Max 15 degrees celsius inside the room, we had to wear warm jackets to get a bit comfortable. Really rude lady at the help desk line, not taking us serious, starting to shout at me after I raised my voice when she told me that it is only October and it is not normal to need a heater at this time of year. Really unprofessional. They refused to contact the Manager. No help at all. Stay away if you want to be treated fair. Stay away if you want to be treated seriously.
Additional, they offer office hours from 6am to 10pm, but after 7pm the office is closed, no staff around anymore.

used too much plastic and other waste at breakfast plates cutlery etc

Spacious clean room, comfortable beds. We booked the room with a kitchen, and it was well equipped. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Decor and fittings slightly tired but not so much that it disappointed. Not enough cups and plates in our room. Again, not a problem for us but worth noting for larger families.

The staff was friendly but she left before my problem was resolved.
The room was moldy and triggered my son's asthma so there was no way we could sleep there. We did not stay more than 10 minutes and they did not refund my money.

Comfortable sheets and bed with a spacious room for 2
Mold on the shower curtain to the point that it needed to be changed and breakfast is a bit too early for vacation. I would probably suggest moving breakfast from 7:00 - 10:00 a.m. That being said that check in could be at 2:30 p.m. and checkout at 11:30 a.m. with the breakfast change.

Breakfast was adequate. The gardens were well maintained.
We had some neighbors who were sitting and talking loudly in front of my room late at night. That was very disturbing and I had to ask them keep it down.

I booked early and at $99 the accommodations were a real bargain for early summer on the Cape. The same room would have been over $250 if I’d waited to book. The only thing that the room lacked was a luggage rack and a reading lamp on one side of the bed. I used a chair for my suitcase and left the lights over the table on, and easily overcame these minor inconveniences. The location was perfect and the setting amongst mature trees was park like and lovely. We’ll book early and go back again next June!
At the price we paid, it would be pointless and rude to complain about anything! The back-from-the-road setting was quiet and beautiful and this was a perfect little early summer getaway location for us.
