I booked a suite eight and a half months in advance, I received a phone call two days prior to our stay that they don’t have a room available for us. Coincidentally their restaurant canceled our dinner reservations due to a large party event that came up. Stay away from this place, we had to scramble and find a new place at the last minute. We were offered a bottle of cheap wine for our troubles. Disappointed is an understatement.

Stayed in the Winemaker residence and loved it.
No place on the property to do a wine tasting or enjoy a glass of wine

Beautiful room and view. Secluded and quiet.
The breakfast and how the heater in the room makes a pen on desk tapping noise all night and keeps you awake.

Quiet romantic location. More like a professional specialty bed and breakfast, than a hotel. Very spacious and well decorated room.
I loved everything about the property.

Everything. The room was wonderful and the the room where we ate breakfast was so cute and food was great.
The only thing I can think of is that we needed extra hand towels. That's it.

We loved the quietness of the property and the rooms are gorgeous! We had our dogs and we could walk around the property with them

Loved the personal service at breakfast. It made our trip very special. Ruth was very personable and so nice! We will return because of Ruth, although something might keep us from returning (See "What didn't you like" section below. We also loved how quiet it was and the view from our balcony was incredible.
The mattress was extremely too hard!! It got to the point were the hardness would wake us up and made it hard to go back to sleep. Would recommend changing the mattresses to a medium firmness. Also the sleigh bed and floors were very creaky. We spend a lovely time enjoying the couples intimate moment above us because of how noisy the bed was. We may consider not returning because of these things.

Our room was incredibly beautiful, the breakfast was good too. The staff was friendly. The only issue that we had was getting a ride downtown Paso Robles for the wine tasting. We missed the wine tasting because there were no cabs/drivers around. After trying to get a ride for over 1 hour, we finally drove to Paso Robles for dinner and dessert, but since we were driving, we couldn’t drink alcohol beverages.
There are no taxis or uber drivers close to the property. You need a designated driver to get to bars and restaurants downtown.

Maybe Booking.com site for this hotel or the hotel pulled a fast one but I did not get the room I selected. Only 7 rooms at this location so everything was booked. Not happy to start a 5 day weekend at an expensive place
The room. Old creaky floors and hard mattress. Felt like sleeping on two box springs. The tv is in the center of the room so the size of the room is cut in half. The gas fireplace filled the room with gas when on.
