Nada.

If you’re looking to be in the heart of the gas lamp, there probably is no Better place to stay. Unassuming from the outside; we had a whole apartment to ourselves, that was spacious and comfortable, clean and modern. Definitely will be booking this place again next time I’m in San Diego. Literally between all the bars and the nightlife, a few blocks down from Perco park. Thank you Sonder, I’ve been using your properties and services more and more as I travel the states.

All the little extras really surprised me: the sound machine, the ear plus, the quality of the soaps, they even had tin foil for the kitchenette!
I couldn’t figure out how to cast to the TV

The room was clean.
The location was not what was expected. Upon check-in, I was informed the building was right in the middle of a popular bar area. I was provided ear plugs and a sound machine to mask the loud noise of the surrounding businesses. The Sonder was a decent enough place to sleep, but it wasn't a comfortable place I'd book again.

Everything was amazing, so much space, loved the living room area and the view was great! so much space!
the only thing is the noise from the Pub downstairs at night. the bedroom is right above it so we had to sleep on the pull out couch one night and then use the earplugs and wave machine to cancel out the noise the other two nights.

The property is a great location for conferences. We had booked this for that purpose. Arrival through a small door between night clubs made it an interesting start to a sleepless night.
The carbon monoxide detector started going off at 1 am, by 2am I was moved to another facility along with my neighbour whom had the same problem. Once there by 3am I was given the wrong code to the room they moved me to and then expected to move back to the original property at 10 am. We were resolved by getting a refund on the stay - only saviour was speaking to Bev at customer service to get a refund for the sleepless night.

I liked having a whole apartment for myself

The accessibility to the hotel (use of codes) and that we were close to everything. Plus having a kitchenette and small living room area. Love that everything was electronic.
Just a very loud area because of being in the middle of the Gaslamp Quarter. Other than that there was nothing else we didn't like. 😊

Super central (see later point about noise!), well furnished and clean, provided everything I needed aside from a peaceful night's sleep
Super Noisy! Above a club. Even on the fourth floor, room shaking levels of noise till 2.30am.

The location downtown in a historic building. Apt was clean and well stocked. Instructions for checking where very clear.
Nothing not to like

Very clean and comfortable room in a good location. Nice kitchen facilities and free WiFi
The room was located above a busy bar, it didn’t bother my friend at all but it did make it a little hard for me to fall asleep. The hotel did provide earplugs for this reason so I still had a good sleep but I wish this aspect was slightly better advertised as I wasn’t expecting it. The air conditioning was also very loud so bring good earplugs if you plan to stay here.

Well decorated and furnished, central place in San Diego
Lobby and elevator stink, VERY noisy until 2am as there is a bar right under

Noisy place, I couldn't sleep until 3am all days, It will be a good idea to post it on the listing so people can take an informed decision when booking, and not feel scammed.
$100 refund for people who complaint is not going to keep you in business, being honest will.
Clean, great place, very well equipped.

location, kitchen was nice and stocked with clean stuff
dirty, broken elevator, an article of clothing left on floor in closet, dusty.

good location, many restaurants/entertainment nearby
bathroom floor looked slightly dirty

Clean, modern, comfortable bed
Ok I guess I didn't read the fine print but no sound insulation in old building combined with DJ SEVEN NIGHTS A WEEK from 10:00p-1:30a at bar/restaurant next door, recycling of bottles at 3:00-3:30am, 5:00am stomping around of people above me and elevator/door code noises in the hallway means I didn't sleep much. After hours of back and forth with Sonder they agreed to put me up at Sonder the State, where I was able to sleep.

The door did not lock on the codebox. Had to use a key.

facilities were great and good price
location is prime area to get harassed by scary and/or drunk men. also transients all over/nearby bc the property location is literally next to two busy bars
3.9
nothing, worst experience ever
dirty, smelly, lots of hairs in the shower, floor was greasy

WORST STAY OF MY LIFE. DO NOT STAY HERE.
BLAZING NOISE FROM 10PM TO 2 AM and construction from 7AM onwards. The street is also closed to vehicles so you have to drive around and find parking far away.
3.9
The location wasn't bad provided you didn't venture out too late or too early. Once everything closes in the area it can get very sketchy and I swear I was a coin flip away from getting mugged while waiting for my Uber to the airport around 4am. It's close enough walking distance to public transportation that will take you relatively close to anything.
So we were on the third floor and the music from the surrounding bars was loud but not unmanageable. If you're on the second floor... Good luck. You might as well be slamming shots next to the speaker. I need noise to fall asleep so the third floor was okay... I'd have had trouble on the second floor. Second floor has laundry machines btw and they're free, they even provided detergent in the room.

Otherwise, the apartment is great. Well equipped, comfortable bed.
Very noisy! My room was just above a bar with loud music until 2 am.

Location, value.
Noise, cleanliness. Noise comes from location, so not Sonder responsibility, floor in kitchen area was sticky when we arrived, swept but not mopped, we call and they delivered a swifter quickly, problem solved.
