Jason and the staff were all very friendly, knowledgeable about Gettysburg and attentive. The breakfasts were all wonderful and my husband and I both especially enjoyed the stuffed french toast. Location was wonderful. Can't wait to stay again when the weather is warmer and we can enjoy the deck and yard,

Perfect blend of historic decor/furnishings and modern conveniences, like flat screen TVs and glass showers.
I had a problem with the wifi. The manor's computers all worked fine, but I couldn't stay connected with my laptop. Staff helped me out on their computer so I could download maps I needed. But a guest that arrived during my stay said she had trouble too--she couldn't read on her iPad because the connection was bad. Weird issue, and not a deal breaker by any means, but maybe someone could investigate and fix the wifi problem.

Swope Manor is a lovely Bed and Breakfast and was very clean. My husband and I and another couple stayed for two nights. The staff was friendly, but not always on site. Breakfast was very good, and they accommodated my food allergies, which I totally appreciated. (Call in advance if you have allergies). If you go in warmer weather, they had a lovely backyard seating area. There was a fire pit table, but we did not use it so cannot say whether or not it worked. Parking was off-site in a parking garage, but just around the corner so an easy walk. It cost $12 for 24 hours, which we felt was reasonable. bottle was sitting on the floor and t
We stayed in the Miss Emily Rose Chamber. The room was clean, but there were no amenities such as shampoo, conditioner or soap in our room. Our friends stayed in another room, and they were provided with amenities, so we should have had them in our room. The nobs on the sink faucet had porcelain tops. The one on the cold-water side was not attached and kept falling off. That was a little annoying. It should be an easy fix for the Manor. There were some small dirt particles on the sheets and there was a light stain on the quilt. The temperature in the room could not be controlled and it was so hot, we could not sleep. Also, both our pillows were awful! They were uneven, hard as a rock and had plastic things attached to them like clothing stores put on clothes so you couldn't steal them. No one would want their pillows! The worst was the noise. There were very noisy trucks driving by all night long. This also kept us awake. It's probably safe to assume most people would be bothered by this noise, unless you live in a busy city and are used to a lot of night noise. They had a water cooler in the dining area with an empty bottle on it the first day. When we woke in the morning, we noticed a full new bottle so were hopeful we would have water that day. We went out to do our tours and when we returned, the full water

It’s a magnificent old home with many beautifully furnished rooms, steeped in the history of Gettysburg. Our room was fantastic, the staff were as kind and helpful as could be, and the location is within a minute’s walk of the very center of town. Truly phenomenal!
Nothing; it’s a perfect old manor. We would live there if we could.

The breakfast was excellent. The public sitting rooms, dining room, library, as well as the bedrooms, were beautifully furnished and comfortable. The location was perfect for exploring the town.

Very nice breakfast. Beautifully appointed. GREAT soaking tub!!!
The forward room (Gettysburg Suite) was large and beautiful, but noisy. Unfortunately it faced a main truck route- 18 wheelers all night!!

This is a hidden gem. This B&B is a gorgeous old (renovated) mansion. The pictures here need to be updated. It has so many awesome studies and little areas to hang out that are so beautiful and full of character. the breakfast was amazing. Highly recommended.

Great room, the bathtub was amazing, breakfast was delicious. Went out of season so the stay was relatively quiet, not a lot of other guests.

The breakfast was a 5 out of 10. I expected a lot more from the breakfast

The staff was super nice and the food was wonderful. It was just so noisy all night because of the location. Our room was on the front of the building and dump trunks drove through all night. The only other thing was the bed was so high it was difficult to get into.
The building itself and the character and history were both incredible though. Parking is difficult, especially when you have to carry luggage all the way from the garage across the street in the back.

Staff and breakfast were great
Stayed in the Miss Dorothy suite. The room was large but was at the front of the building along the Main Street Anne the traffic noise kept us awake at night.
