the design and easy access to 84
isolated a lot of homeless not much around other than the park

Location of the hotel was great considering we were going to the XL Center. The style of the hotel was lovely, and the gym was spacious and clean.
Hours of the bar/restaurant could have been more expansive, and parking more reasonably priced.

We had a nice room away from noise, elevator, servixe, and vending The room was super clean. It seemed recently refreshed. Reception was helpful and friendly. When given a chkice and good rate, the Goodwin Iin downtown Hartford is our go-to hotel when we are visiting the area. I like how they have opened up access to the lobby of the building it is in Rooms are worth it when you can score a deal. Otherwise it's not worth the full nightly room rate
The room was drafty and cold and the only way to warm it up is to have the hotel override the thermostat maximum which is set to 75, which sounds warm and feels warm when you get into the room, but the heat escapes quickly with the draft and high ceilings. They should replace the carts they use for baggage with proper hotel/bellboy carts. There is kes and less to do/eat in downtown Hartford, and while it is safe, it might not appear safe to those who are not used to staying in a downtown of a large city. If only they would return to the days of a full service bar and restaurant open daily and serve/include a nice breakfast that goes beyond the current coffee and instant oatmeal. Finally, how about automatic door openers or a valet / bellhop who can open the doors for hotel guests who struggle with opening the two entry doors with their luggage, luggage cart

Our room was clean, modern and very quiet, albeit at expense of any view as it faced the interior atrium, and most of what we could see was of a wall a few feet from the window.
We would have appreciated complimentary bottles of water and slippers, and annoyingly, the water from the shower was ice cold at first - the front desk advised us to turn on both the shower and sink for up to 10 minutes to remedy. One night, housekeeping did not leave us any towels and also left a bag of trash on my nightstand which is unacceptable.

Classy and well maintained
Work space in room could be more ample

Location was excellent, lounge and restaurant were closed for renovations.
Booking.com rooms are not the same name or price as the actual rooms. If u book an superior king on bookings, it comes up as a standard queen at the actual hotel. There is a huge price difference and u may NOT get, what u thought u booked.

Great location, friendly staff, elegant furnishings.
The bathroom was not clean - hair from previous guests all over the floor and shower!

Comfortable bed, large room / suite. Clean accommodations. Good restaurant. Good gym.
Room is not as cozy as it appears in photos. No rugs anywhere in the suite, just bare wood floors. Bathroom has only one hook for a towel. Lobby lights too bright. Decor is all over the place.

the parking! if you don’t turn down the street where the main entrance is you get lost on where to park and then there is a garage where you can park that says hotel parking. so we parked there but then come to find out the garage is closed on the weekends so we wee having the most trouble getting out of it and nobody was of help. the security guy from the building .. he said that’s the garage not me who can help you liek thanks buddy! the hotel was great but maybe more signs at the end of the street that says “hotel parking here/valet” at the top and ends of the street where the hotel is located

The location is perfect! The entire hotel was kept very tidy and it’s’ decor very lush and modern. Our room was comfortable and cozy and it was very quiet during evening hours!
The restaurant was not open. It is very unfortunate for the price that the hotel does not offer any type of breakfast offerings or room service.

Gorgeous hotel! A short drive to the suburbs and a short walk to the Wadsworth Atheneum (worth a visit, by the way.) Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spotless. It's big and well-appointed, thoughtfully furnished. I was very comfortable. Had all the amenities I expect from a nice hotel. Loved the giant shower and lighted vanity mirror. Console tables were perfect for key cards, handbags, the stuff you can't leave the room without.
One little note - I would prefer milk to creamer with my free coffee (available in the bar in the AM.) Although the coffee was good enough to drink black!
