A historic house, spacious, historic and guest friendly details, comfortable bedding and luscious towels

Good food, beautiful setting, nice host, nice decor.
Private bathroom would have been better.
4.8
Nice proprietor, nice breakfast, great location, comfortable living area and game room, run of the house/kitchen.
Needed more surface space in the shared bathroom. Maybe a bench to put clothes or toiletries on.

Location was good. The house is very charming. The size of the room was very good. The light in the room was great. Street parking was easy and free. I loved that there were several choices of places in the house to relax or eat when not in my room. I really appreciated that there was decaf coffee available. I also appreciated that there was liquid soap available for the shower. I never had to wait for bathroom use, so sharing with another room was not an issue at all. Would definitely stay here again.
I had to enter the code 2 or 3 times to get it to take for both the front door and for my room. More of a comment than a complaint as it did eventually open. The room temp was a little cool for me when not under the covers, but for 2 days no biggie. There were two doors to the backyard with no instructions so I did not use it in the brief time I had, though it looked inviting.

Such a charming property and perfect place for a weekend getaway! All of the finishing touches from the decor, ambiant background music, coffee bar, and fresh breakfast really made it feel special and homey. The location was convenient and close to all of the shops and dining downtown (8min walk) and Stephen was super helpful in providing recommendations on what to see and do. The game room, complete with darts/pool/& Pacman all went to good use! Thank you for sharing your reprieve of a home with us and to all of the other guests who get to experience a stay here with you!

This property is absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend a stay near the holiday season because it was so festive and warm! The family friendly vibes made us feel right at home!

I loved everything in this house: from the decoration, to the cozy feel, the comfort, the king size bed, also the crib that was promptly assembled for my baby, the breakfast (from the tableware to the variety of coffees, cereals, granola, yogurt, nicely cut up fruit salad, biscuits…) and a bonus was all the essential oils around the house, including in our room!
I would have liked to have a bathroom for ourselves (they do have one suite available in the master bedroom) but it was not a problem to share the bathroom, it was always available when needed and it was always clean/spotless.

Everything was perfect at the place. Loved all the details and how much attention is given to make it being a comfortable place. It’s home far away from home. Definitely come back if around again!

impeccably decorated, warm, well appointed
sharing a bathroom, but it worked well

This was a beautiful stay. Very comfortable and relaxing. I wish I had more than one night. Very close to everything also. I recommend 100%

My husband and I had a lovely anniversary weekend in Culpeper. We went kayaking at a nearby lake, we hiked Mary's Rock, and we loved the big chessboard in the backyard.

Nicely comfortable and a great setting!

Beautiful spacious house with character. Loved all the plants. The host, Stephen, was nice and helpful.

This place for me was enchanting. Stephen the host was so very helpful in answering questions that we had. Our check in was a breeze. We also had friends we wanted to visit for a while they felt so welcomed also. The house so amazing, warm and beautiful felt like we were home.
4.8
Charming place. You can tell the owner put in a lot of effort to make it more like home. The room and bathroom were clean. Love the living area and game room. I thought it would be awkward having a shared bath but it actually wasn't at all. The breakfast was simple but another great touch. Highly recommend.
4.8
It is a beautiful place and Stephen is an exceptional host!

Beautiful, comfortable home away from home feeling. The yard was a spacious oasis, perfect for letting the dogs run around! The complimentary breakfast was fresh and delicious. Every detail was thought of in comfort, decor and service in making our stay wonderful, thanks!

Stephen, the host, was very attentive and keeps a beautiful, immaculate home. Included breakfast had a wide range of options and there were many fun things to do at the house. We especially liked the giant wooden chessboard in the back yard!
Nothing, this place was perfect.

The place was great. Very welcoming. I would recommend for friends and families that want to do the wine trails. Lots of fun in the home if you stay in at night.

The host never bothers you and only offers goodies left out. The place is decorated with attention to details. Every time I wanted to sit or place something or plug something in it was right where it should be. Well thought out and gorgeous home that's a brief walk from the downtown strip. Would stay again whenever I'm in the area.

The place is exceptional - well designed and lovingly decorated for the season. It is full of thoughtful touches from the large back yard with a chess game, fire pit and fountain to the bedrooms. The toiletries are very nice. The "breakfast" bit was delicious and fresh
with a well stocked kitchen. There is a stand with all sorts of amenities from toothpaste and mouthwash to hand sanitzer and clementines. It was spotlessly clean. We had two cats who were welcome. We had a lovely 3 night stay.

We had a great (short) stay at west park gardens. Great place to unwind that is close to restaurants, and great way to meet interesting travelers.
Mostly great experience. It’s a shared house so as long as you know that, you’ll have a great time.
4.8
The house was beautiful inside, neat, tidy and well furnished. The outside garden was lovely. The food at Breakfast was generous, fresh and delicious, with plenty of snacks and drinks available at all times.
Stephen, the host was friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and our two nights away provided us with a much needed relaxing break. We do intend to return.. I think it was of the nicest B and B’s we have ever been to. Plus our dog was welcome and he had a fun time also.
not a thing.

Very beautifully and impressively presented, classy but simple, comfortable and relaxing. Thoroughly enjoyed it!
I can't think of anything at all that was a negative.

I was in the area because I had to work at a wedding about an hour away so stayed here for the night before heading back home. Everything was perfect I could have stayed forever. It was beautiful, exceptionally clean, and so relaxing. My host called in advance to welcome me and check on me before my arrival and was super sweet. Id definitely suggest West Park to anyone

Clean = quiet = roomy = felt at home = breakfast was awesome. Will be telling all my friend's about this place. What a great place just to get away.
Maybe add a chair in the bedroom.
