It is an amazing family run motel that is close to the beach. The room is fabulous—a separate room for one of the beds with a kitchen. My kids really wished that we could stay more than one night here. The beds were super comfortable! For a motel that has operated since 1935, that have done a wonderful job with updates and maintaining a lovely place!
The planter at the edge of the parking lot—someone hit it while we were here and it seems like a hazard. Maybe there’s a reason why it’s there but it seems like it would be easily missed when backing out.

Quaint and cute. Homey small town vibe. Got a small little welcome bag, very nice touch. Very comfortable and will definitely keep this as a spot to come back to.
Needed to have stir sticks in the room for the coffee, had nothing to stir my coffee with. Had everything else needed for a nice cup of coffee.

We stayed for a stop over when driving down to Seattle and the Anchorage was everything we needed. The owner was super lovely and gave us a little care package when we arrived. The location was great a short walk to the beach and had everything we needed in the area (coffee, restaurant etc).
The room was quite dark so if you were staying any longer than a night that may be an issue and the bed was very creaky, we couldn't turn over without making lots of noise but it was comfortable!

The property is clean and attractively groomed and decorated. It is within a 10 minute walk to the beach, with a variety of tempting shops to drop in on.
No complaint possible!

Excellent location and a good room. Staff was very nice and gave us good tips.
Expensive for what it is. The bathroom and shower were too small.

Nice room, they've improved the property since my last stay
I booked a pet friendly room on Booking dot com and when I tried to check in the employer said I didn't and had to pay extra for a different room. There was only like 3 people there on a Sunday and she was just trying to scam more money out of me. I've stayed here dozens of times but won't be back now. Morons. Hope the extra $20 bucks was worth losing a customer.

Great value, very welcoming staff, very clean room!

The owners are the nicest we have ever encounter. We loved the little welcome gift they gave us. This is a motel that dates from 1935. The current owners have done a fantastic job remodeling the room we stayed in. The bathroom was up to date--great shower, sink, and the towels were luxurious. The kitchen was excellent, the dog amenities were nicely arranged.
The suite was a little small, but given the footprint of the building, it was fine.

So very quiet and such an amazing host. The goodie bag was delightful and everything was perfect.A nice central location made everything easy to get to.
The shower is a bit small, I couldn't watch TV in bed.

Booked last minute due to road closure due to severe weather. Many thoughtful extras were included with my stay. Top quality linens, toiletries and coffee/tea options were a major bonus.

What do you mean--I found the breakfast satisfactory because I brought the major elements of it from home. The coffee, made with a device that generates plastic garbage, was barely satisfactory.
The listing and description of the room was somewhat deceptive--Including the room size would have been a clue as to the distinct disaster the weekend was. My husband was ready to return home, but we arrived too late, over a difficult road. The sunshine on Saturday allowed us to spend the day elsewhere.

Great location and the staff was great. Clean and the bed was nice and firm, comfortable.
Limited electric outlets. We both use C-Pap machines, chargers for dual cochlear implants, computer. Fortunately we had a plug-in strip so we were okay.

Room too small. No bedside lights. Not enough places to hang towels.

It was clean and I liked that we were given a little "goodie" bag upon check in. I liked that the tv included streaming services.
The standard queen room was extremely small (the smallest room I've ever stayed in). Not really even a place to put luggage out of the way. The TV is mounted to the side of the bed instead at the foot of the bed so you have to turn or lie on your side to watch tv.
We stayed here the Saturday of Labor Day weekend. I know it is customary for lodging to increase its price on a holiday weekend but the amount this was increased didn't create a good value.

The bed was rock hard, and the oven was filthy

The Anchorage Motel is adorable. Spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated. The location is great, near to beach and everything else in town. The staff is friendly and readily available. I will definitely stay here again!
I wish there had been a lamp next to the bed, and, more importantly, a deadbolt on the door. I'm sure Pacific City is perfectly safe, but especially as a woman traveling alone, a deadbolt would have made me feel a bit safer. That being said, I would still stay at The Anchorage again!

was i supposed to get breakfast?
it was ok,, pacific city or. does not have very many choices of motels, and i waited till the last minute to book a room.i usually stay with friends, to much company to stay with them. i travel a lot, and stay in several motel, hotels a year. so in a pinch the anchorage was ok,it was clean, and conforatable. so it was ok for 1 night. i thought it was a little high priced, but it is the end of summer

not a thing, I wish I had taken pictures to show how perfect it is!

The room was cleanly and roomy. The staff was friendly. Accommodated our fur which is always a plus in my book.
Check in was 4pm check out was 11 with NO exceptions. Surf and sand always accommodates us as we travel frequently at a distance. The price of the 1 night was as much as a weekend where we normally would stay. There was no place to sit other than the bed or on a bench in the kitchen area. No conditioner for hair. While we did appreciate the comfortable bed and cleanly room the rate was pretty high for 1 night. We did enjoy the room and staff...just too pricey for where it is

Jenn at the desk was so cheerful /helpful. She told us where to go"CLOSE" as we are on Pilgrimage, Hiking the Oregon Coast Trail.
She offeredus a welcome "Goodie bag" that made us very happy(not having anything we aren't willing to carry- popcorn and hot chocolate and oatmeal are 👍👍👍treats and luxury!
The colors of the cottages is cheerful and- the he Same colored Adirondack chairs, is where we shall have our AM BREW before hitting the hike thru Trail again.
#9 Perfect was A perfect size for 12 hours here, though Jenn offered an upgrade as I "ooed and awed" the pictoral of all the rooms on a flat-screen in the lobby.
Thanks Anchorage, hope to see you again for longer.
B & K on the trail 2022AD
*Dim Lighting... we wanted to study our O.C.T. trail directions to our next destination in Neskowin... but had to use our head Lamps while sitting on the bed. The kitchen barnook also was very dim.
*And a hook or any hangers were absent in the bath. That's it... just missing a lil' conventional convenience .
One plus on lighting-
A nice bright 🚿shower!!!
