About this apartment rental
Please note that lettings are from Sunday to Sunday, which means you avoid the heavy traffic on Saturdays from Albertville.
The apartment (38m2) is light and airy, attractively furnished and carpeted throughout. It is fully equipped for five people, with two separate bedrooms and a bed settee in the lounge. It is situated in a timbered building, Le Hameau du Sauget, 120 metres from the centre of the village of Les Coches (not Montchavin) with its shops, restaurants, ski schools and ski lifts. One floor above ground level, the apartment is accessed by lift from the foyer. There are beautiful views from all rooms (and two balconies) across the Isère valley to Mont Blanc.
The main door opens onto an entrance hall with coat rack and wardrobe, giving plenty of space for outdoor coats. The comfortable lounge/diner has two reclining armchairs, a bed-settee with cushions, two coffee tables and a wall-mounted HD TV. A standard lamp provides adjustable lighting. On the book shelves there is a DVD player, a radio with iPod dock and a range of books and DVDs. The lounge area can be closed off with a curtain when the settee is used as a bed, giving more privacy. There is a panoramic view from the window, and the glazed door opens onto the front balcony which has a table and chairs so you can sit to admire the mountain scenery. In the dining area, the oak table is extendable to seat six, or retracted to seat four giving more space. The well-equipped kitchen has a fridge, dishwasher, oven, microwave, slow cooker and electric kettle. There is a fondue set so you can enjoy a Savoyard evening. The double bedroom is attractively styled, with a double wardrobe and two chests of drawers to give plenty of space for your clothes. From here, a glazed door opens onto the side balcony, which also has chairs for sitting out for morning coffee in the sun. The bunk bedroom is separated from the main bedroom by the lounge, giving more privacy. The bunks are adult size and the room has a wardrobe and coat hooks. The bathroom has a full-sized bath with overhead shower and a heated towel rail. There is a separate toilet. The apartment is carpeted throughout. Heating is by thermostatically controlled electric radiators and the cost is included in the price, together with final cleaning. Bed linen and towels are not included but can be supplied at a reasonable rate. The apartment is located at the end of the corridor so there are no passers-by and you can sit out there in the afternoon sun. This is at ground level so it is often possible to ski back to the walkway at the apartment level.
The resort is on the pistes of La Plagne and at the heart of the huge Paradiski area of 450 km of marked trails. With just one uplift and a blue run, you can arrive at the amazing Vanoise Express cable car which links the resort with Les Arcs. The area is famous for its wide range of summer outdoor sports: mountain biking, white water rafting, parascending, together with walks and climbs at all levels. The mountain scenery is a spectacular background at all times of the year.

We fell in love with this wonderful apartment. It’s very cosy and warm & has everything you need. We stayed for 1 week in Feb 2024 and would definitely return. It was spotlessly clean. The 2 chairs shown in the pictures both recline when you lean back firmly on them, and you can put your feet up on the footstool after a day’s skiing - very comfy. Plenty of wardrobe space, hangers and shelves. We cooked every night and found all of the utensils and pots & pans we needed were provided. There were even thoughtful extras like tin foil, kitchen roll, salt, pepper, some spices, cafetière. We wanted for nothing. Also there were quite a few UK to France electric plug adaptors available, which was really helpful. The fridge has a small freezer inside the top of it, and the Spar in the village sold all that we needed that we hadn’t brought with us. The apartment is perfectly placed for the ski pass office and the main chairlift up to the slopes. Communication with Jacky & Steve was fantastic and they answered my many questions promptly and fully and were super helpful. We highly recommend this gem of an apartment. Thanks for a wonderful stay 👍 Jan & Dave x

Plus points of this fantastic flat: Plenty of space for a family of five. Balconies on three sides. Great level of privacy and no noise from neighbours. Newly renovated, very clean and comfortable living space. Equipped to a great standard with everything and more that you’ll ever need. Beds, duvets, pillows were of exceptional good quality. Bathtub and separate toilet are a big plus. Parking is free and directly in front of the entrance. The village has a great traditional French feel to it with very friendly staff in all shops: supermarket, butchers, bakery, cheese shop as well as ski hire and souvenirs. The positioning of the village in the ski area is fabulous with very easy access to Les Arcs and La Plagne. The way home goes past two mountain huts for that very important hot chocolate / beer etc. to finish the day. Jacky and Steve, thank you so much for letting the flat to us. It was an absolute pleasure, and we will surely be back one day.

An ideal apartment in Paradiski
On this occasion I stayed in this delightful apartment for a week with my brother; though I must say that my wife and I, other members of our family and several friends on recommendation from us, have also enjoyed its amenities over the years. On our very first visit, some 10 or 12 years ago, we were met by a very well presented, and tremendously convenient accommodation for our week’s skiing. We have rented the apartment every winter season since, and occasionally in the height of summer. On the first occasion, what we found on arrival fully matched the owners’ description. The apartment was spotlessly clean, warm, well arranged and, perhaps most important, homely. Since that time, the owners have consistently taken great care to regularly update, maintain and extend the apartment’s facilities. Thus, the kitchen now sports a microwave oven, halogen hob and a wide range of both useful and essential utensils. The bathroom has been carefully modernized and presented, and new furniture further enhances relaxation for tired limbs at the end of an exhilarating skiing day. Sitting comfortably in the lounge watching the peak of Mont Blanc turn firey red as the sun goes down is a most memorable experience. Each time we go we look for the latest improvements that the owners have made. This last time I noticed the introduction of cosy new rugs in the lounge area. One thing that never changes is the fact that we are always confident of a wonderful week’s skiing/holidaying in a most comfortable apartment and in a vast area that provides for all our needs.
Sleeping arrangements are perfect for four in the two bedrooms, with the possibility for two further people to sleep in the convertible sofa in the good-sized lounge. Occasionally we have had six staying in the apartment. Only this last summer some friends, a family of four, stayed in the apartment for two weeks and thoroughly enjoyed their holiday.
The apartment is ideally placed for the beginner to the advanced skier/boarder, as it is positioned central to the whole Paradiski area, and local facilities are ideal for learning and extending your skiing/boarding skills. Often one can ski the 50 metres down to the first ski lift of the day in the centre of the village, and directly back to the apartment at the end of the day.
No wonder that we’ve again booked the apartment for two weeks in the forthcoming winter season!!
