Good location and free bicycle rental
Too expensive compared to similar lodges near the area.

Highlight of the trip! The lodge is decked out with activities, snacks, drinks, etc. Breakfast was fantastic, bikes were available to use (perfect for July 4th weekend with lots of traffic), even a trailer was attached to one of the bikes to bring our toddler along. The couple who owns the lodge is amazing, they're so sweet and attentive. We told them we were leaving early and they even left some breakfast in our room the night before! They have sweet pups that are roaming and my toddler adored them, smores and happy hour nightly, great recommendations for places to go. The cabin itself is quaint and exactly the vibe we were looking for when being in Tahoe. Kitchen was decked out and we loved the booth/table to sit at.
Woke up with sore neck/back from the mattress/pillows, but we didn't expect a fancy bed.

the breakfast was amazing. so many waffles to choose from and all freshly made and delicious. there are some other lovely touches; free bikes, fireside s’mores, wine and cheese. it was lovely chatting to the very friendly hosts and their dog. room was immaculate and very comfy.
kitchen in the room was very basic; only a microwave and a fridge.

No EV charger or outlet to charge.

We loved how welcoming the Fireside Lodge was. Thinking we would end up in a random hotel, we have been surprised by all the small attentions made by our hosts to make us feel so comfortable and welcome at their place!
Maybe the fact that the “fully equipped kitchenette” did not have a sink nor a stove.

Breakfast, wine and cheese, s’more time and the friendly staff!
Our entire family enjoyed the stay, definitely coming back with some friends next time!
Distance to the ski resort is a bit far.

The room size is very small. The bathroom is smaller. We were four of us crammed into a tiny space. The description didn’t match the size of the room at all!

The location was excellent, service exceptional, clearness, excellent, and the owner super friendly, and excellent service. I will definitely recommend this place!!
Unfortunately for us we have to cut our trip short because the fires near by. It was lots of smoke and lots of aches. Definitely we have to be mindful of this kind of stuff before we going back again!

Everything was so clean and organized! Breakfast was amazing, great variety and quality, we all ordered the waffles with toppings they were delicious! We got bikes for the day, already included, the room was beyond neat and clean, every detail makes this place so comfy and unique
Would definitely come back
Oh and the staff is very very welcoming and kind!
The only thing I would say, yet not a big deal, is that you can hear the traffic from the road at night, and I’m guessing this happened because it’s summer and we slept with the windows open but otherwise loved this place!!! Amazing

Very good
The noise from the cars driving past on the highway is too bad. Otherwise it seems the perfect place.

What a wonderful place to stay in Lake Tahoe! This family that owns this hotel are so friendly and they love dogs. They were so helpful and just lovely people.
The breakfast in the morning was yummy.
There are trails right behind the hotel where you can take your dogs. They have bikes for use, although we brought our own, and we biked to Kiva Beach which is a dog friendly beach on a lovely bike path right behind the hotel. We brought a bike trailer with us for the dogs and biked there in about 25 minutes. We went some swimming in the lake and just hung out with the dogs. We saw several other dogs swimming in the lake.
Another thing that makes this place so special is that they are set up so that it’s easy to meet the other guests. There are only 10 rooms but there’s a fire pit where the kids can roast marshmallows and play games. The dogs are able to mingle too! It’s easy to just sit in their areas to chat and meet others. They also have a lovely happy hour with crackers and cheese and wine included in the price.
If you have a friendly dog this is a really good spot to go. If your dog is not that friendly I don’t really recommend it because there are dogs running around and it’s just set up for dogs that are friendly with each other.
It’s not one of the cheaper places to stay in Lake Tahoe but for what you get it’s well worth it.

Hospitality was amazing! Everyone was genuinely friendly. Late check-in and early checkout was easy.
Parking is a big tight but nothing can be done about that.

Great location, amazing stay, super clean! Complimentary bikes, s’mores, wine & cheese! Kitschy log cabin feel which is perfect for a stay in Tahoe! Very family friendly!

Your typical Tahoe retreat. Really cute!
The bathroom was a little dirty (walls and shower floor)

The hosts (family owned and managed) were the best we have ever encountered! And we have stayed in B&Bs/Motels across the US and other countries. Loved being next to US Forest Service, lots of nearby trails, and 1 mile to the beach. The cabin was well decorated and bright. The lodge has lots of amenities not found at other places: large gazebo with fire pit, free bicycle use, pet area, wine and cheese tasting, "classic" arcade games and more.
That we didn't stay longer!
