The area has a lot of restaurants around, and even a Lidl a couple of blocks away. It is 2 blocks away from the S metro, and 4 blocks from the U subways, so it is very convenient to go to the center or to Potsdam. The beds were very comfortable, the shower worked really well, the room was quite big and with a window to the internal garden. In 38ºC heat it was still quite cool and pleasant.
We got the key through a code on the door, which is fine, but we had to do a phone call to receive the code. It would have been easier if we got the information beforehand by email

Booking took advantage of the situation that there were no hotel rooms in Berlin and demanded from us an astronomical sum for rooms in catastrophic condition, one room without toilet and shower, without ravela or very basic service. Do not recommend booking and certainly not the hotel

Place is close of a metro station.
Place is old, bathroom is ugly, floor sounds when you walk inside and when people does outside as well.

The room was good and Regina, the receptionist was also very friendly and supportive.
The wi-fi was very weak and wasn't working at all in the room and in the premises.

The room was comfortable, the building was decent and I slept well. It was a very convenient location for all the places to which I ventured and the community was great night or day. While I would have appreciated a real lobby with an elevator at times the stairs were a benefit.
No wifi was available and the community bathroom was never clean unless I did it myself. The staff/manager mostly seemed bothered when an inquiry was made, although it might have helped if I had some better language skills.

Only the location was good
First its not a hotel but a hostel. Paid 240€ for 2 nights which it was very expensive for what I got, very small room and bed, not that clean and I had a shared bathroom.

Only the room was spacious and acceptable
-Shared bathroom
-no one to help with the bags, we had to carry them for 2 floors on our own. My dad's back got injured from having to carry 3 suitcases upstairs.
-The staff are super unfriendly and can't speak german or English. Whenever I tried asking them anything, they lashed out at me and weren't able to communicate.
-there were weird noises at night, that made it really scary and also the complete absence of staff at the reception at all times of the day was abnormal.

Self check in. Last minute booking. Location.
There was no toilet paper at all! The cleaning lady was rude. Didn't speak english. I don't speak German or Russian. She didn't identify herself, but still proceeded to stop me and hold me until some question she had about my room was answered. Later I found out after speaking with management who were apologetic that the Russian cleaning lady just wanted to get the keys, which I had left in the room per instructions. The management apologized because she clearly overstepped her place and responsibilities. She need not engage with guest over something she should've went to the room discretely to sort. Stressful to be held captive by a bossy, entitled cleaning lady! See picture of her inspecting my room. Crazy lady.

*The second lady's attitude
*The location is very good. But if you rent a car, just select another hotel with good parking spots
*The heating system is good. In this cold days, it didn't feel that it is winter outside.
*The size of the room
*I didn't like it, but as I mentioned every hotel has its budget, just if it is possible to improve the breakfast options
Hopefully that lady will learn to speak respectfully, and how to smile and hopefully her boss also will learn that, there are some condition that you should make exceptions. I wish you good luck! Hopefully you will improve. And my marking is sincere, I didn't put it worse than in reality (according to my opinion). But if the attitude is good, I always like to put marks better than I know in reality.
I have taken some pictures of the room, but I don't want to share it. I wish the boss to renovate it and grow in business. And I wish to that lady ability to smile.
When I write bad review, it is mostly related to the attitude of the staff. I know not all hotels should be very good, but even when there are technical problems but the staff have good attitude (doesn't matter the problem solved or not), I am satisfied with those hotels. Well, with this one, I am not satisfied. When I have booked the hotel, I don't know why, it was expensive for those days I have selected. According to price (which also partially my mistake) I thought it is a good hotel. But the building is very old. So my mistake was that I have booked for 4 days, as soon as I have reached (I was not alone, I booked it especially for the guest who came to Berlin to visit me), I called booking.com and asked for to cancel the rest 3 days with refund of those days. According to rules I booked non-refundable, so booking.com informed me to talk with hotel directly about refund. Morning I went to the reception, I have explained the situation to the lady who's name I think is Diva about the situation. I understand rules are rules but at the end we are humans, we can make exceptions, because in one case the hotel handled it for me. The lady had the attitude didn't want to listen to me. And I have informed her that, I will write maximum good review just if you could help me. Well she still had this "you!shut up" attitude and telling me simple things as I am dumb or something. According to rules, she is right but her attitude is not good, didn't respect me even sometimes to finish my sentence. At the end, she said I am not the boss. So does it mean "I don't care"?! I wasn't angry at all. But I have seen people to handle this kind of situation very professionally, even at the problem is not solved but at least you just respect the person because her/she respects you.
