Rustig in de nacht. Goed bed. Degelijke douche. Lekker ontbijt, gepersonaliseerd. 's Avonds heel lekker gegeten in het restaurant aan goede prijs. Eigen parking.
De kamers zijn iet of wat gedateerd, maar dat stoorde ons niet.

Superb, modern, spacious clean apartment with 2 bedrooms. Excellent restaurant - the set 3 course menu at 39 euros was first class. The quality of the buffet breakfast was again first clss..

Room pleasant and comfortable.
Previously payed a little more and had a small suit. Well worth the few pounds extra. Breakfast very good .
Restaurant lovely, food really delicious , wine lovely. And unbelievable they stayed open just for my Husband and myself as we had booked a table. The fire was lite the maitre'd / owner served us and was totally charming. Wonderful end to a lovely holiday.
As before the only thing that would be very nice, would be tea and coffee making facilities in the room. We would be happy to pay extra for this.

Restaurant was great. Good food. Somewhat expensive wine. Location good and easy dog walking.
Room was small. Bathroom was basic. No facilities. No bar (that I could find)

The garden and location
Very disappointing meal, the worst I’ve had in 50 years of coming to, and living in, France.
I speak excellent French, but from the moment we arrived, the staff insisted on speaking to us in quite poor English.
Madame was brusque to the point of rudeness.
As we entered the restaurant reception she was on the the phone at the desk, and we were motioned to keep our voices down by a member of her staff.
At no point did she treat us with warmth, and made us feel like an inconvenience.
When I asked what my smoked salmon had been marinated in, she had to go and ask the chef.
Considering how limited the menu was, and that, as the owner, one would expect her to know exactly what she is serving her guests, I was astonished.
My father owned a restaurant in an exclusive part of London; I know and understand the restaurant business well, and her lack of knowledge was shockingly unprofessional.
We noticed that a party of four, who appeared to be regulars, were treated with far more courtesy and warmth, and we concluded that, as “anglais”, we were not worthy of Madame’s attention and were entities to be processed through our meal.
Tourists are clearly not valued customers here.
She insisted that we choose our dessert upon ordering, something which I’ve never experienced in a supposedly high quality establishment. When I queried this, she barked that “parce qu’il faut”, so we complied meekly.
The starter was ok, ie the salmon was delicious, but the uninspired potato salad and insipid crème frâiche which accompanied it might as well not have been present on the plate.
My main, trout, arrived cold but on a hot plate. I said nothing for fear of incurring Madame’s wrath.
It was accompanied by a tasteless green sauce and a pot of inedible cheesy slop with a few grains of polenta thrown in. No idea what it was supposed to be.
No vegetables, rice or potatoes.
A poorly thought out mess.
Madame needs to rethink her attitude to her foreign guests.
We won’t be back.

On arrival the Hotel, adjoined restaurant and terrace looked amazing. Very pretty.
Once past the very pretty hotel facade I entered a kind of service lift and travelled to the third floor. Stepped out of lift (bedding and baby beds where stacked in a pile on the landing) and struggled to understand exactly how to get to my room. Opened the only door available and entered a pitch black area. Found a light switch and eventually my room. This place needs auto lighting in communal areas. The superior double room was disappointing, not reflecting the initial impression of the hotel and needs refreshed, for example consider some pictures on the wall throughout the hotel and declutter the odd decorations. Dinner was ok but the experience was rather dull. No real interacton or engagement by the staff / owner. I noted three solo travellers who just dined in silence looking bored. Staff need to inject a little 'Va Va Voom,' generally.

all very efficient and clean.
Somewhat brusk owner. While restaurant was nice and food was good - it was expensive and overly fussy for what is a fairly basic hotel.

The breakfast was really good quality & only cost 10 euros.
Our superior room was very comfortable.

Staff very friendly and helpful, especially as we arrived late, telephoned ahead and they kept some hot food for us when we arrived - exceptional service. Superb room with great walk in shower, breakfast was simple but all we actually wanted
Have already booked to stay on our return journey

we didnt eat unfortunately nor did we have breakfast, although we know it has a very good reputation for food -
the 'apartment' was just what we needed, two double bedrooms, with a lift to the second floor.
the grounds and the auberge are so pretty as is the town of is sur tille
the wifi was dreadful on the afternoon we needed it ... couldn't upload anything for our antigen test or the government passenger locator form.

This. Is the second time I've stayed and I really like it. We used it as a stopover but it would be good as a base to explore the area. It's in lovely grounds and there is a park nearby which is ideal if you are traveling with a dog. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed . Both the evening meal and the breakfast were very good.
I'd happily stay there again.
Nothing major but the toilet is stained which is off putting.

pleasant site, dinner in the restaurant was tasty
at least 3 separate groups in the restaurant all had dogs, growling and yapping at each other, very disturbing and unhygienic!
We expected to have breakfast at 12 Euros per person but when we came down we were told we couldn't have any as the breakfast room was full!

A charming small hotel. Friendly, clean and has a lovely restaurant with good food and excellent service. We used it as an over night stop on our way south and it was perfect for this.
Towels a bit worn and shower very slippery.
3.5 / 5.0
The restaurant was really good, very high quality and many choices. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was plenty of parking on site and the hotel was in a nice quiet, attractive location.
Our room was adequate but rather tired. It was clean but dated.
