You were right in d centre of the village square . Both Katerinas doing an excellant job. Views amazing .
People so friendly. We knew it is a historic building with amazing antique furniture pieces and pictures.
No aircon but Katerina brought us fans.
4.7
Run by the nicest, most helpful and hospitable people.
A different, warm, home-made breakfast every day.
Excellent location, right in the middle of the village, with breathtaking views over Volos and the mountain.
Highly recommend.
No negative comments.

Excellent location, view, traditional architecture, friendly service, delicious breakfast, comfortable rooms, aromatic toiletries, cleanness
Small bathroom space in our room, and noisy toilet water tank...

The hotel was an old charming buliding with lots of character and very Greek. The room was lovely and the location of the hotel was perfect.
There was a major mix up with our booking. We turned up at the alloted time to find the hotel closed and that they had forgotten about our visit. We telephoned the number on Booking.com and got through to the ? owner who was in Athens. She advised that there would be no staff for another 4 hours and after a delay offered to find alternative accodation. Eventually she contacted an elderly gentleman to let us in to the hotel. The hotel was in a bit of a state.
The breakfast the following morning had stale bread and cake and was not very good.
4.7
excellent breakfast, decoration, view and location
Slightly Dates bathroom and furniture in the room.
4.7
The location is perfect, an easy and short walk from the parking lot
The staff is welcoming and polite
The property has authenticity and character
The room was very small, even for 1 person, especially the bed. I can't imagine sharing this with another. The windows should have protective railings, there is fear of accident every time you open and close the shutters. Breakfast should be ready at the time it is supposed to be served, on both days, it took them 15-20 minutes to set up everything.

Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast. Value for money!

We had a great stay here!! The place has everything you may need. The house is spacious, cozy and clean. The view from the house is speechless, but the most important asset is Demi’s warm and friendly welcome. All in all a great stay and would stay there again and recommend to others! 🌅💛🌸

Absolutely amazing atmosphere, very relaxing, with a great historical vibe, stunning views of Volos, mountains and sea from all the windows, embraced by nature. The hotel amenities are comparable to better rank hotels (very clean, crazy comfortable and huge bed, very nice cool climate in summer) and at the same time it keeps its rural 'old greek' historical appearance with all the beatiful artefacts and ancient preserved furniture that surrounds you in all the hotel. Very personal care for all guests, breakfast very rich and each day different. Few meters from public parking and extremely close to main square of Makrinitsa, 10 mins by car to Portaria, another historical village, 20 mins by car to Volos.
It seems a general problem for all hotels in this area can be a public parking availability in the peak season.

Very good location. Mrs Repana gave us a lot of recommendations about places to visit for all the areas and days we were going to spend around.

Great location, breathtaking view! Τhe owner, Mrs Demi, is a wonderful host, we felt very welcomed from the moment we arrived. Don’t hesitate to ask her for recommendations (local “hidden gems”, hiking trails, restaurants). Another highlight, not to be missed- the delicious breakfast she prepares!

We felt very welcomed when we arrived. Demi is so kind and helpful. She will do everything so that you can just relax and enjoy your stay.
The house is typical with authentic decorations. Rooms are all different.
If you have a room on the first floor, I would advise you go up to the second floor to admire the living room and observe all the objects that reflect the story and memory of the house/family. The view on the see is perfect from there.
Demi is cooking generous and tasty breakfasts. Listen to her advice when it comes to seeing the most beautiful beaches of Pelion.
Good to know: it is very difficult to park in Makrinitsa (not to say impossible). The Archontiko is only 100m only from the public parking. It is very easy of access as, from there, you directly take the main street and will not have any stairs or uneven paved streets to take.

Archontico Rapana is in a beatiful location and the rooms offer breathtaking views of Volos City and Pagasiticos sea. The owner is wonderful host, kind and hospitable that made us fill welcome. During our stay we enjoyed the home-cooked, hand-made breakfast from Mrs Demi (the owner). We loved our time there. It was such a calm cozy place, so well kept clean and organised.
