Standard room, convenient, disappointing

Room was just as described with twin beds instead of king-size bed. Had its own bathroom. Staff polite and accommodating. Website indicated they didn't do meals after 3pm, which they could at a request. Breakfast can be arranged too the night before at an cost, I personally think this should be Included in the cost of the room in these financial times . Fan in the room, which we had on all night as no air conditioning.

People in the opposite room kept unlocking and locking the door every half hour, thankfully not over night. Bathroom radiator was alarmly scolding with no indicator you could switch off(weather was 30 degrees) some of the window latches were broken. As the weather was extremely hot, you'd think they would of opened the windows and closed the window dressings. Bin people came at 6.15am, plus other deliveries before 8am below our window.

A nice stay we will book again when we visit family

Nice modern hotel in a great location

The room was small which we expected but we felt it could be payed out better. As we were there for 3 nights at Xmas with no staff which was fine. A few extras would have been very much appreciated . Bottled water more milk and extra biscuits. A sprig of holly or Christmas decoration like many air b& bs do over the Christmas period would have been nice.

I'm sure it was written in small print but the pub is closed Mon/Tues so no option for food or drink - dinner or breakfast. I did not see a soul the whole time I was there

Dissapointing

nice size room comfortable large bed

Arriving to a unheated room, and then a lack of urgency to get heating issue resolved. We had to stay in bar for 45 minutes. Flat screen ok but remote control did not work was given different remote but that didn't work in this case because no batteries fitted. Water was cold at 8.30 am had to boil kettle to wash, fortunately we had showered at night and water temp was good then, so just as well. The lighting was inadequate. impossible to use for make up or shaving, one bedside lamp broken.

Closed Mondays and Tuesdays

The room is fine / good, but the pub is amazing - that's what I came back for, great food, great staff, great beer. However, it is closed Mondays and Tuesdays. I booked this stay months in advance and they waited until my free cancellation ran out, 2 days prior to my stay, to inform me of this. That seems underhanded to me.

Nice comfortable room but disappointing service re meals.

The room was large and comfortable. Nice big bed and quite location.

It was very frustrating to arrive at 8.30pm and be told that the kitchen was closed for dinner having had a long drive anticipating a warm welcome and good meal. Email communication about serving times would have been helpful. Breakfast was also not an option as it was served from 9am which was too late for me.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and our room was lovely and clean and nice and warm

The bedroom walls are thin so if you happen to have a noisy neighbour you won't get any sleep until they decide to go to sleep.
