Very convenient location, good car parking.
The refurbishment following the change of ownership still has a long way to go in the bedrooms (public rooms are better). Sadly the previous owners let the quality slip.

Cooked breakfast was just enough and well cooked and hot , coffee was luke warm both days, not much choice cereal wise
When booking more than 1 night I think they should put in room extra coffee and milk

For the price charged it was good value: friendly, helpful staff, clean room with everything working. I ate in the hotel both nights, the service and food was good.
Nothing within the control of the hotel i.e. not much happening within walking distance of the hotel.

The location was great for town and as we were going to a wedding it was within easy walking distance.
The mattress on the bed in room 16 was very uncomfortable.

I don't like the the fact that its difficult to find Telephone signal down stairs in the restaurant / lobby area.

Friendly staff, comfortable room, reasonable price
Only had a hand towel no large towel in room but maybe just forgotten

An outstanding find - great location, reassuringly private and safe car parking, good facilities, huge room and en suite with more than ample space to swing several cats simultaneously, outstandingly clean, great value for money - I will be returning
The room decor was a little tired - with some signs of, albeit acceptable in my view, wear and tear - but spotlessly clean
Shower water pressure could have been a little more forceful
Some 'out of room' noise levels and door-banging
4.0
the location and car park
the room was shabby. the room was cold. The duvet cover was tinged yellow in places on the underside. The shower curtain smelled of sweat and was old. The skirting boards needed painting. the carpet near the bathroom door was displaying wear and loose strands of carpet. the window was high up so there was no outside view. The cost was £89 excluding breakfast so I expected a better standard of room for this amount of money for a one night stay. I would not stay there again..

look and feel was excellent from the outside, ample car park. smelled really good in the corridor
rooms need updating, as decoration was poor… bed was uncomfortable, show had really poor pressure.

It was clean and functional
Reception desk was empty when we arrived and we had to wait quite some time to be checked in.
Everything was a little outdated and the sliding toilet door doesn't offer much privacy, in a twin bed room. The sockets were not conveniently located near the bed-sides.
Didn't have breakfast and didn't see anyone at checkout so can't really comment further.

It was very well located and it had parking
The room was very unkept, the bathroom had mould and it was very hot. It only had a tinny window to open.

Food portions were a good size and cooked well
The single bed was comfortable for my daughter
The double bed was very hard and uncomfortable

Comfortable, warm room, and I was given a free upgrade from a single room to a ground floor double when the receptionist saw that I am disabled and walk with crutches.
The overhead light in the room did not work despite the maintenance man trying to fix it. The kettle seemed to have a dodgy plug which crackled when I used it.
