Lovely little villa which was absolutely perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults plus two very tall older teenage boys).
Extremely clean and well appointed. Very quiet and peaceful.
A 30 minute drive from Cadiz but lovely beach much closer.

This was the second year in a row we have stayed at Cuba Libre and we were slightly concerned that it wouldn't be as good a holiday as our first. We needn't have worried as there is so much to do and see in the area and further afield (you will need a hire car to get to the villa and explore). The villa is totally brilliant for our family needs - amazing pool and BBQ area that we all love, secure high walls and gate that ensure our children are safely contained and we can relax. Peaceful and tranquil with only chirping birds and the occasional rooster. The villa is very clean with an extremely well equipped kitchen and lovely living room with a great TV with Sky channels. It's close to amazing beaches and lovely restaurants and we had great days and evenings out in Seville, Jerez and Cadiz. We love our holidays here and it will be hard to replicate the relaxing time we spend here anywhere else. We will be back again I am sure. Thanks to owner Berna for being on the end of a phone to cheerfully fix any small problem we have/had. I don't think anyone could ever regret booking this great villa.

Ten comfortable days in Cadiz in a house that without excessive luxuries ends up being very comfortable to be with the family.
The wonderful porch and a functional barbecue and the pool are the best things in the house, although the hammock mats need a little maintenance.
The rooms are the right size, the beds are comfortable and all have air conditioning, which ends up being necessary many nights.
The kitchen can be the weak point of the house because the furniture is quite deteriorated.
Finally, indicate that we were negatively surprised by the lack of cleanliness and the clutter of some areas as well as the fact that no one showed up at check-in or checkout.

The whole property was quite clean. Relaxing and quiet place surrounded by other properties but the house was really tranquil. You could only hear the birds, cocks and dogs.
The house was nicely fresh and all the rooms are provided with air conditioning system.
The outdoor dining area next to the pool is quite pleasant and convenient. It is the perfect place to disconnect and relax.
The owner was always attentive to our questions and requests.

We loved Cuba Libre, it was fantastic. Everything was clean and the villa very well equipped, with lovely fluffy towels, a great coffee machine / BBQ and a beautiful pool to name just a few things.
The area was secluded, private and peaceful but was so close to beautiful beaches and lovely restaurants. We hired a car which was required and enjoyed visits to Cadiz, Jerez and the stunning Seville.
Overall we loved our 2 weeks and hope to return!

Lovely stay
We enjoyed our stay at Cuba Libre very much. Particular plus points for us were the pool and the privacy and oleander bushes and jasmine of the pool area with the outdoor dining space. The windows have insect screens, which keep out the bugs very efficiently. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking and eating in and there is air conditioning in each bedroom and the living room to make life comfortable.
Berna was most helpful in providing all the information we needed as was Ross.
A couple of minor things - it would have been helpful to have some instructions on the microwave as the markings on it had been almost obliterated but we worked it out in the end. It would have been good to have had a fitted bed sheet that actually fitted the mattress on the bed (it kept coming off in the night) and synthetic fabrics are not comfortable in the heat. Nothing to do with the property, itself but the number of barking dogs in the development is difficult to ignore.
Having said this, we would be happy to return in the future.

A week in Spain
We had a great week at this villa near Chiclana de la Frontera. Property was a good size for our family of six and plenty of space to sit outside and enjoy the sun. The kids loved the pool and also the good wifi connection! The villa was nice and clean on arrival with good communication from the owners. It's in a quiet remote area so a hire car is must, not many people about (which I liked) and the occasional barking dog. Plenty to do in the wider area with Playa de la Barossa beach being one of the best we have been to. Barely heard another English accent all week which I took to be a good thing as away from the mass of British tourists.

We were delighted with the accommodation
The villa was everything we needed and lived up to our expectations. This was the best holiday we ever had in Spain and we have stayed in many parts of the country. We liked that the area was quite rural and quiet at night but still close to Chiclana and Conil. We cycled and walked and went to La Barossa to swim. There are many beautiful beaches to visit. The pool at the villa is clean and just the right temperature. We will definitely book a return visit.

A truly fabulous place to stay - such a clean and holiday feel to the house
4 of us recently rented Cuba Libre for a week and I must say it was a fabulous place to stay. The house is clean and cosy and the gardens are beauftiful with orange lime and lemon trees in the garden.
The pool is a great size and lovely for a morning splash.
We drank cold San Miguel on the balcony in the evening while also cooking up some wonderful local meat on the barbeque.
Up the road you have a great local bar and your driving distance to the most beautiful beaches in the world.
Thank you for a wonderful trip - we will be back to Cuba Libre.

Excellent
The property is clean and beautiful, it provides everything needed to enjoy a sweet and amazing holiday. The only negative point is the noise of the neighbor's dogs, this was really annoying especially for my little kids.

The outside space is a perfect haven peaceful and private ,beautiful flowering shrubbery and crystal clear pool awaited us after a long day at one of the most spectacular beaches in Spain ,only wish we could of stayed longer to explore the surrounding area.
I highly recommend a stay at Cuba Libre.

Beautiful villa
Lovely villa, very well maintained with everything we needed. Spent our evenings sitting out barbequeing and listening to the crickets or down la barrosa beach enjoying local restaurants. We will be back sooner rather than later

Gorgeous Villa in a peaceful setting
This is my 4th Stay in Cuba Libre. The villa is in a quiet location, what I love, but it is minutes drive to the amazing La Barrosa Beach and El Palmar.
The villa is clean and is a well equipped. The WiFi was excellent which is important as I work remotely.
The outside area is perfect for sunbathing and long evening BBQs . There is air conditioning in all the rooms which was useful even though my stay was during October.
The garden and pool are completely private and are very well maintained with weekly visits from the pool man and gardener.
We will definitely be back next year. Thank you Berna (the owner) and Leigh (manager)
I would highly recommend this villa .
There are some lovely restaurants in the area, these are my favourite Los Pescadores, on La Barrosa, VAVA for cocktails and watching the amazing sunsets. La trastienda de Lusol for excellent wines and tapas (won prizes for best tapas), Amore on La Barrosa to watch any game, good food too. Ché Bar for cocktails. Casa Francisco and Casa Juan at El Palmar for excellent fish.
Closer to home is Venta Florentina good food and really reasonable.

Disappointing
This was our 10th consecutive year staying in Pago. We like it because it is in between our two favourite beaches, El Palmar and Bongo. It is also very near to Cadiz and Jerez, two lovely cities.
Our introduction to the villa was by Richard, and it felt more akin to an admission to a prison camp than a greeting to a holiday home. He even opened the dishwasher and informed us that “this is how we expect to find it when you leave”, he repeated this twice more with reference to the general condition and the beach towels. It was quite intimidating and a bit rich considering that whilst superficially clean the whole house would benifit from a thorough clean. We certainly left it significantly cleaner than we found it.
The description states that the house is furnished to a high standard! The living room resembled basic student accommodation with cheap and grubby throws covering the two sofas, very harsh lighting and a coffee table covered with stains.
The kitchen had a filthy damaged oil cloth covering the table and three very dirty chairs. We had to wash many of the implements and mugs before we could use them. Outside the table was covered with another very dirty oil cloth which had burns in. The raised patio was stained and dirty attracting legions of ants. The covers for the loungers around the pool were frayed and badly stained.
Sheets and pillows were of the cheapest kind. The double sheet was a Primark polyester sheet and those on the single beds were obviously old and “bobbly” We stayed for 16 nights but were not provided with extra linen. When we asked about this Richard looked surprised that we would need a change and suggested that we washed them ourselves. We went to Zara and bought replacement linen!
Swimming pool was nice and maintained although garden would have benefited from some attention.
We have stayed in villas and appartments all over the world and unfortunately this accommodation was certainly one of our most disappointing experiences.

The house and pool were perfect very clean and tidy and had everything we needed.
We were there for a wedding, unfortunately the weather was cold in the mornings and at night which meant the pool was too cold to use and to cold to eat outside in the evenings. The only other thing was the barking dogs they never stopped all night, we did sit out one night with blankets and the neighbor complained about us talking was a bit surprised as the dogs did that all night.... but it didn’t mater we have a great stay.

Marvellous Holiday
This beautiful villa is set in a very peaceful rural área. Its minutes drive from La Barrosa Beach. We spent our evenings having sundowners in the sunny garden and BBQs on the terrace overlookinh the pool. We will definitely be back next year.

Comfortable, clean, home from home
What an amazing villa. 3 happy children, 2 happy parents and 1 happy nanny!
Truly a home away from home - everything you need is here.
The villa was clean, comfortable and we had a brilliant week full of memories. The pool was great for the kids, and although cold when you first jumped in (weather was around 21 degrees), it didn’t stop them from being in the pool all day, every day!
BBQ was fab, fully equipped kitchen, beautiful space.
Thank you for letting us stay for the week.

A Hidden Gem
We spent a lovely Christmas in this Villa. It iis in a quiet area with a well maintained garden which is completely prívate. The Villa is very well equipped. We had fresh Orange juice every morning from the tree outside the kitchen
There is heating and a great log burner.
There is a local venta Casa Blas servíng traditional spanish food it's great value and a small supermarket with fresh bread daily.
The Villa is in an excellent location to visit many places of interest , Vejer, Medina Sidonia, Grazalema, Conil and Cádiz.
The beautiful beach La Barrosa is a short drive. Lunch in Los Pescadores is a must.
We had a great stay and would highly recommend it.

A little piece of paradise
We spent three fantastic weeks in this villa. The villa was spotlessly clean and well equipped. We had many evenings on the porch doing BBQs. The pool was well maintained. The villa is in a perfect location to visit many interesting places I.e Seville, Cadiz, Medina Sidonus, Vejer, Bolonia, Conil and Jerez. La Barrosa is definitely one of the nicest beaches in Spain. We will definitely be back next year.

Lovely Villa and a Lovely holiday
We had a lovely time at the Cuba Libre. Although it is a little difficult to find the first time we soon got our bearings. Also the roads approaching are narrow unmade roads, but don't let this put you off as it is a gem of a villa. Very private with floral lined walls all around. A big thank you to Berna for providing 2 extra sunbeds as there were 6 of us. The villa managers, Leigh and Richard were very helpful and we found the place in a spotless condition. The villa is close to lovely beaches at La Barrosa and Conil. Also within a few minutes drive of Chiclana for shops. We spent most evenings at the villa using the great BBQ. There are a couple of bars within walking distance but would recommend only doing this in daylight hours as an unlit area. We had plenty of fun at the villa though so didn't need to venture out at night. A few days were quite windy but laying on the sunbeds, the wind is not an issue at all. We moved the table under the front porch on the windy days and all was fine to eat there wind free.

Fantastic Holiday
We had an amazing holiday in Cuba Libre again, we spent a day in Seville, we went to Zahara De Los Atunes a small seaside town with a beautiful beach, great restaurants, and bars.
We also visited Alcala De Los Gazules a white mountain top village. Cuba Libre is perfect for a relaxing holiday and a gateway to many places of interest.

Enjoyable stay in a very untouristy location
We had 11 nights in a well equipped villa with a very pleasant outside space including a pool, lounging area and barbecue.
There are a few issues when trying to manouvre the car due to limited turning space and the proximity of the neighbours gate resulting in a 6 point turn to get out of the parking space! We were also a little miffed to having to pay an extra €30 for the wifi, would it not be better to include it in the daily rate? That said, the starter pack was very welcome as we arrived very late on the first day and we did really enjoy our short stay in the villa that was very well located for Cadiz, Jerez and many beaches.

Perfectly located Holiday Hideaway
We stayed for a week and found the place to be clean, bright and very sheltered away from the hustle and bustle but close to local beaches, restaurants and cafes only 10-15min drive to Conil & Playa La Barrosa. The pool was definitely a highlight of the property. we enjoyed many days out on the patio enjoying the sunshine and BBQ's. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful holiday
We had a lovely time at Cuba Libre - the villa is very well equipped and the setting is really peaceful. The pool is great - especially at the end of a hot sightseeing day. There are many beautiful beaches in the area as well as some great places to visit - Vejer, Tarifa, Cadiz. We really enjoyed our holiday there and highly recommend the villa.
