Its location right outside their village bus stop makes it very convenient for first time travellers to find. The hosts were very welcoming and forthright in providing advice and suggestions on touring around Alishan. Breakfast was the most delicious meal I had.
Nothing! Everything was wonderful! Perhaps this hotel is a tad more pricier than the others i stayed during my trip in taiwan. But it was understandable for its location and season.

The breakfast was delicious, local dishes and we liked it so much we finished all every day😋. Owner made an effort to prepare different dishes each day. The vegetables was home grown and fresh. Fruit and desert was served as well.
The owners are very friendly and approachable, offer advices where we could spent our day there and tiny things like which train route we should take as we have elderly. They also invited us to have tea after meals and we had a good chat in the night.

Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good as well. I was only looking for a room to sleep in and it was all good. I booked last minute so I may have paid a premium but overall the price was pretty high for what it is.

Great location, right by the bus stop that has a bus that takes you to Alishan / the HSR. Short walking distance to the Eryanping trail.
lovely couple who invited us to have tea with them.
breakfast was great, home made porridge with many great side dishes.
sunrise was nice at the school playground next to their home
the loft room was quite small for four peoples, not much area to walk / sit in with luggage.
not much to do after sundown in the area.

We were greeted warmly by the lady owner and chose the unit across the road. The interior was nicely decorated with 2 twin beds and a bathroom. Outside is a small rest area with table/chairs which we had a bottle of wine picked up from a nearby convenient store. Excellent location and bus stop is just right outside the homestay with several eateries within 100 meters. It is ideal for those who want to explore the tea garden trails in ShiZuo area. Breakfast is simple yet filling. Owner is very helpful and arranged transportation for us to watch sunset and to the Alishan Forest Park , in addition to suggestions for dinner. All excellent choices.
The lodge is just next to the road, so you can hear vehicle passing by but it becomes quiet when night falls as traffic is reduced to near zero.

Staying here is like staying at your good friend's house. You are truly treated as friends and are drawn to participate in good long conversations over tea, as well as being offered rides to the eryanping trail to save you the legwork. The room is like a spare bedroom with ensuite at your friend's, and so without the luxuries of a hotel like a minibar or fridge. You are however given an electric kettle. People seem to use this place as a base for travel around the area. But we only stayed one night. The place is next to a school so you may be woken up by chanting children in thee morning. But then, it's breakfast time anyway. The owners are, as I said, extremely friendly and hospitable, but do not speak English or any foreign language. This might be problematic if you have specific issues to communicate during your stay. But, you can download an app which does instant translation, and this might mitigate the problem.
A full length mirror in the room would be useful.
