Location , quietness and price

9.0
- Location
- Very comfortable, had good sleep
- Good service
- Finally a room that does not smell like overused air freshener or fragrance in the Middle East
- Bedroom has a suitcase rack (this is always a plus)
- Hotel food is pricey
- Renovation noise can be heard from several floors away (staff was kind enough to warn ahead of time)
- Gentlemen at laundry shop spoke very little English. Language barrier created misunderstandings.

1- The hotel five star but furnitures are old and need replacement
2- Pool not that big and areas around it look like 70’s
3- limited breakfast Ex: no fresh juice
4– night life limited to lounge with dance show only.

This was a comfortable, good value hotel. The rooms were spacious and confortable and the breakfast was good. The hotel is not particularly centrally located and you need a cab to get to the downtown and the main restaurant/night life area

My husband and I have travelled to over 30 countries - some more than once - and we have to say the omelet at the breakfast buffet was one of the best either of us can remember. Coming from Northern Canada saunas are a big deal and the sauna & steam room at the Golden Tulip were superb. Not to mention the pool that was wonderful...I'm not exaggerating. No smell of chlorine or bromine and the temperature was enjoyable. We had a list of things we wanted to see & do while in Bahrain and we were able to walk to them all from the hotel...so nice and refreshing. Think you get the idea of 'what did you like?' EVERYTHING.
George, the Assistant Manager, went above and beyond helping us. Over the top service!
Having to deal with those stairs getting to the sauna.
Having more staff in the dining area would take some of the pressure off during busy times.
The string of buoys dividing the pool made it more challenging to swim.
We have always enjoyed complimentary shuttle service to the airport.

Good location and breakfast. Responsive staff.
The hotel is old and dirty, not five stars. Someone constantly walks knocking on the door, and you can hear everything in the morning when people go to breakfast. Half of the declared items were not in the room, there was not even a balcony. There was also no iron and ironing board. I left 1 day early, I couldn't stay there, it was very uncomfortable. There was no hot water.

Staff are very good they are very helpful.
Room service are good.
Food should be improve.
Its taste and quality are poor.
