A great little hideaway, hosts were fantastic. Accommodation had everything that we needed and more.
Our dog loved the free run of the field behind the house.

Lovely property. Hosts pleasant and whilst they live in the house onsite they were not intrusive. Had some lovely pub meals in the area. I am sure it would be an even more beautiful location in summer. We were very cosy here in the winter evenings.
My only negative comment is I found the beds uncomfortable - too firm for me.

Outstanding property. Ideal for us to catch up with family and friends and having free run of the field for the dog was wonderful.

My husband and I were on holiday from Canada and I had booked this property for the last five nights of our trip. Upon arrival to the beautiful property, we were greeted warmly by Sue, who welcomed us and gave us a quick tour inside the house. It was immaculate and tastefully furnished. It felt cozy and welcoming. If you are looking for peace and quiet in a rural setting you will find it here. The grounds are like a park, with pretty views, and I was thrilled by lovely bird song at sunrise. The weather was cool and overcast and it showered a few times but we enjoyed our stay immensely spending the afternoons seeing the attractions in East Sussex. James was very kind and able to answer all our questions about the area and we enjoyed some interesting conversations.

Needed a Place to Chill
The wife and I needed a quiet base to chill and catch up with old friends and this hit the bullseye.
A great field to walk our little dog and a well kitted kitchen to prepare any size meal.
We enjoyed our stay so much we've already booked another visit.

Peaceful and beautiful
We’ve had a lovely time at the property and made to feel very welcome by Sue and James. Lovely cosy cottage and just what we needed after a fraught house move.
Five stars all the way

The owners James & Sue are excellent host's a very warm welcome on arrival and not intrusive while your there, just a friendly hello every now and then. Would be happy to return in the future.

Home from Home
Lovely relaxing property. Our dog loved the big field out the back. Perfect place if you want busy days out exploring, would say best to stop off for a meal on way back and then perfect place to chill in the evening just stock up on drinks and snacks so you don’t have to venture back out. The nearest pub is quite a walk and no pavements so walking is not ideal.

Fabulous location, great hosts!
A bank holiday getaway! We spent the days cycling along lovely little lanes. Great sunny weather, apart from the most amazing lightning storm one evening whilst we were snugly tucked away in bed, watching through the velux. Breakfasts out on the patio, dinners down at the pub walking distance away. Sue and James were great hosts - a friendly hello and a chat, but without being intrusive. Would definitely recommend the barn if you want somewhere quiet to relax. It all just went by too quickly.
