A very classic youth hostel in a quiet gorgeous location. Wensleydale cheese factory (terrific tour) just around the corner. Stayed in an en-suite with towels provided. Sleeping on the top bunk bed was fun. No TV (of course) but fast WiFi if needed.
It’s a youth hostel, so don’t expect any luxuries!

Price, parking and close to town with friendly staff.
Breakfast was nice but didn't get our order right.

The breakfast was fantastic and good value for money.
The car is a little small for the capacity of the hostel.

Location, welcome and level of cleanliness all excellent
Drying room not that effective, and not much parking considering there is no public transport

Great friendly check in, relaxed atmosphere, lovely breakfast

Great location and excellent staff.

Cosy and comfortable with an outdoor activity community vibe. The self catering kitchen had everything you needed. We didn’t eat from the menu, but this seemed great value for money with traditional home cooked meals on offer. The communal space was very relaxed - a great place to chill regardless of the purpose of your visit.
nothing to say here. Everything was what I expected.

Fabulous breakfast. Perfect location for our biking trip. Great well priced accommodation and what you would expect for YHA
Little noisy

Clean & friendly staff
No tv, breakfast was poor and shared showers with poor pressure

The location was great and from our window we could see down into Hawes and the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Dales. We were close to the town and able to walk in for our evening meal very happily. The YHA kindly provided great self-catering facilities as well as free tea and coffee which was VERY much appreciated! The communal areas were sweet and staff were helpful and friendly.
I was unsure when booking if the room was ensuite or used a shared bathroom so that could be a little clearer- could have been something I missed on the page though! The carpark was quite scrappy which was just a bit precarious for a motorbike to manoeuvre and the kickstand to stay in place.

Excellent cleanliness, great location

There was a good variety of breakfasts available & the cooked English breakfast was great.
The 2 members of staff were friendly & helpful & made me feel very welcome.
The location is great, situated at the edge of the village with fabulous views of the surrounding hills.
It would have been nice if there had been coffee/tea available when the canteen closed for the day.
The price seemed quite high for accomodation with shared toilet/shower facilities

The view from our family room was so picturesque! Steve, the manager was very helpful & friendly. Luke on the desk at arrival was great too.

Great drying room. Nice warm rooms and showers with good water pressure to get clean after a day in the hills.

Nice for a one night stay. Staff were lovely. Area was really nice. The hostel was very close to everything.
The princess Diana artwork was a little strange.
