Beautiful hidden oasis in the middle of Paris, with the most attentive and lovely staff.
4.2
The position is nice and central
They gave me the handicap room and the shower and bathroom floor were uncomfortable.
The Wi-Fi was jumpy the who staying, the phone in my room was not working so I had to call from my cell phone to talk to the reception.
There was no still water , only one little bottle of sparkling water, I called and asked for one bottle of water twice. It arrived the third time.
The Madeleine complimentary sweets in the room had an hair on it.
There is a weird smell, kind of oldish, around the whole hotel ,not my favorite.0
Decent breakfast and good position.
Price for a 5stars hotel it’s ok, but I wouldn’t rate it a 5stars hotel
Overall i won’t go back.

The Alfred Sommier is a hotel with a soul. The premises radiate classic chique elegance. The staff is very supportive and friendly. The rooms and common areas are furbished stylish.

The location of the hotel was perfect. The room was very comfortable and the building itself very Parisian. Also the staff that is responsible for the service and cleaning are absolutely lovely.
The lobby and the reception are very small and the interior choices look very outdated. The worst thing about the hotel is the staff at the reception and the doorman’s. They definitely don’t understand what five star service means, as a matter of fact they don’t understand the concept of service at all. The doorman’s where constantly on their phone and ignoring guests. Opening doors or brining in suitcases was not on their list either. The reception workers were also not friendly, warm or welcoming. The best way to describe their style of welcoming is fake smiling and looking like they hate their job.

on booking it was breakfast included, apparently did not . we has 2 rooms , 1 room could not attend so 3-4 weeks a head we asked hotel to cancel this room , but they did not . when we arrived, after some talking they offered me 5 days stay credit any other time , so I agreed, now after 1 month they are just ignoring me , never will get my 5 days there

The hotel is absolutely beautiful! It's even more beautiful in person! The location is great, there are a lot of touristy spots walking distance from the hotel. Staff was very friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was absolutely delicious!
We stayed in one of the rooms with a terrance facing the street, it was so nice! We had breakfasting our own private terrace, we thought it was quite peaceful.
The pillows.
The bed was very comfortable but unfortunately I had a terrible sleep because the pillows were more like very very thin cushions. I asked for additional pillows but it was impossible to sleep with 2 of those pillows in my head, they are paper thin.
I had very high expectations for this hotel and I was quite explicit of how much I was looking forward to rest but unfortunately that wasnt the case for me.
I spoke to a staff member during my checkout about this and she mentioned that this feedback has been brought to their attention before. I hope they do something about it in the near future.

Everything! I loved every minute we were at the property! I wish I could live here! Normally there is something wrong, I’m very critical at times. I hope to come back one day! Thank you so much!

Location of the hotel was great and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast selection offered good, fresh produce.
We could hear the every movement of the person staying in the room above us, and our room looked out onto the street, so unfortunately there was a fair amount of noise throughout the nights.

Authentic French hotel, historical atmosphere, great restaurant and beautiful garden to relax, plenty of space and comfort in the middle of Paris. Close to several stores and easy access to public transportation.

We had the first night a room with 2.8 meters x 3.6 meters, approximately 10 m2 plus a small bath and paid roughly €650 for that tiny room. The price is even for Paris too high. It was room 318. The television is mounted on the side - so you see the television from a 45° angle (that's really awkward), the wardrobe is only 40cm wide, We had no space for our (small) suitcases and had to open them on the floor in the small entry gangway of the room with the result, that you could not open the room's door while the suitcases were open. This room is way too small. And: It does not correspond to the size indication of 21m2 on Booking.com. -- Only the second night we could upgrade for an additional (!) €60 to a room with an acceptable size (room 315). Conclusion: 318 should only be offered at a reduced price. I feel ripped off. -- Furthermore: There were several other inconveniences, but I'm tired to mention them. -- The hotel remembered me a *** hotel in Barcelona I used to frequent 20 years ago.
