The view was unbeatable, amazing view from both our balcony and shower in our bathroom. It was lovely having breakfast on our private balcony overlooking the sea. Champagne cocktail on arrival was also a nice addition.
We had an issue with ants in our room - on the first day they were all over my toothbrush meaning I had to throw it away, and the second day they were all over my razor again meaning I couldn't use it. We informed the hotel and they gifted us some soap which was a nice gesture however the issue continued - we appreciate it's an old building (which the staff at reception pointed out when informing them) but we would expect better management of this as they really were everywhere in our room, mostly our bathroom but also ended up in our suitcase too.
There were also other things that we wouldn't expect from a hotel of this quality and price - an old dirty rag being left in our bathroom by housekeeping, the door handle of the toilet coming off each time we used it, only being given one complimentary mini bottle of water each day (would at least expect a full size bottle).

The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. The view from the hotel porches were incredible, but our room did not have a view. The room and bathroom were very nice.
it is a steep walk to the hotel, and everything closes down after dark. There are no restaurants open except the hotels. A day trip or one night stay would be long enough. We stayed 3 nights, and that was too long.

The staffs were friendly and super helpful! We were so lucky to get the room with the best view and speaking of view, it is just breath taking from our balcony. The space or the room was very appropriate. It is bigger and better than we expected based on the pictures that we’ve seen on the internet. The whole village is very pretty and the best part it is very private and peaceful. Lovely experience and hope to come back soon!
None, except for the fact that it is quite difficult to find cheap food and public transportation.

Fabulous hotel:
View, room, valet parking, checkin, staff, location,
quality of the furniture and the architecture
of the hotel…
they missed to add sufficient towels and refill the sanitary kits on
the second day
On one morning, they were cleaning the terrasse of
the restaurant which is located under our balcony
at 7.30-8am with a karcher which was disturbing
restaurant is good but we would expect excellent food

The location, location, location. I mean, you’re staying at the top of a medieval stone village, overlooking what must be one of the world’s all time greatest views. Seriously. And the village itself could not be more picturesque. While Eze is very, very popular and full during the day, it’s ridiculously peaceful and quiet at night. Hotel staff, especially the bellmen, the bar staff and the valets, are all extremely friendly, fast, and kind.
Room decor, furnishings and televisions are very much in need of a refresh, and are not at a five star level. One of the televisions didn’t work at all. Some of the other appliances were broken. The hotel’s afternoon and evening room service only appears to operate around four or five hours total per day. In most cases, this isn’t a big deal, but as there is no vehicle access to the hotel whatsoever (which is a feature, not a bug, of this amazingly-situated property), this means guests are pretty cut off from many dining or even refreshment options while in the rooms during those hours. I was not offered any alternate food option suggestions, though they do exist. (Not an issue for a three star, but surprising for a five star.)

location. charm and excellent service
maintenance and equipment was not to the expected level

I like the area and the views from the hotel restaurant
Hotel was too small and no facilities. Food was way overpriced.

Eze is to die for! Absolutely stunning. The chateua is steeped in history and charm. Ask for the Gallery room to stay (beautiful restored old house with high ceilings and a huge bathroom and jacuzzi tub inside the walled village) and ask for a private balcony for dinner. Where you can enjoy an intimate dinner in the sky over a 400ft cliff drop overlooking wild boar with views of the Cap Ferrat Penisula. Very smiley and friendly staff. Welcome cocktail drink on arrival was a great touch as was the valet parking, for 10 euros a day it’s a total bargain considering the alternative is a park and ride 30 mins away. We will be back!
Waking up and remembering we didn’t live there and had to leave 😩 To be exceptionally critical, the tasting menu had a few too many mint flavours, 4 dishes of 7 had lashings of mint, still delicious but worth mentioning in case you aren’t a huge fan.
4.5
The location and the views.
The quality of the staff in all departments.
The dinner, but not the 500% mark up on the wine.
A very mixed experience. Wonderful staff and delicious food, but with a 500% markup on wines that I find offensive. And amazing views, but the bedroom accommodation across the medieval buildings varies widely, so we were not at all comfortable when, as an older couple, we found the stairs in tiny two story "room" we were allocated to be dangerous. My partner slept on the couch downstairs and this entirely coloured our stay.

The views were fantastic and the room was beautiful. The hotel itself was very nice indeed and the welcome cocktail on arrival and note and rose in our room for our honeymoon was such a lovely touch. We were well looked after by the staff too and the bathroom was the best bathroom we had all holiday at any hotel.
The room rate was very expensive considering there was no breakfast included. The prices at the restaurant and at the mini bar were very very expensive. We stayed here as part of a 16 day trip for our honeymoon and the restaurant and hotel menus were the most expensive of the whole trip and we stayed at other five star hotels and other small luxury hotel of the world hotels. For example a bottle of water was 10 euros and a glass of champagne started at 30 euros. We did have a very lovely stay.
