Føler meg alltid velkommen. Hyggelig personale, god mat og hotellet i seg selv er verdt ett besøk. Kort vei til Dalsnibba og Geiranger.

Helt grei frokost.
Snevert utvalg av middag. Man bør like fisk, sau og geit.

It is about a 50 min drive to Geiranger fjord. Free parking. Nice view from the hotel room. Many choices for breakfast. You can eat at the hotel restaurant for dinner. It costs 490 Nok per person and you have to order before 16:30.

The location is great in the middle of the mountain range close to the fjords, an excellent base for day trips. The room was pretty basic but nice anyway. The breakfast was very good too. Enjoyed our stay.

Amazing location and interior. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the bar is very cool.
A bit unreliable hot water in the shower.

Dinner was great and so was breakfast.
The room was beautiful and so the whole building
The local Grotli beer.
The price is a bit high. It was the most expensive accommodation we had on our trip, including Oslo, but it is so special.

Characterful large hotel, great location on a roadtrip. Huge amount of space in lounge and dining areas.
Room a little small, but lots of lounge areas to sit in made up for it.

Nice mountain setting and great shared spaces, like the bar and lounge areas. Nice buffet breakfast.
My room was right next to the reception area and thus it was quite noisy.

Excellent location and an amazing atmosphere! Cozy bar area with a fireplace and comfy couches to relax and meet new ppl. We opted in for the 3 course dinner and it was excellent! Also great breakfast. Staff was amazing and very friendly!

This is a good location when travelling between the east and west of Norway. Helpful and nice personnel. The restaurant and bar facilities have a nice atmosphere.
The hotel rooms are outdated, and are not clean, with old and dirty curtains and chairs/sofa. For the price we expected more.
3.5 / 5.0
A decent option for an overnight stay if your route takes you through Grotli; otherwise not worth bothering to take a detour. A functional, if somewhat spartan, room in a big, busy hotel; a very good breakfast and friendly staff.
Rooms are on the small side and dated, equipped with little more than basic amenities. So not really good value - but then again, there is little choice in the area.

We chose this hotel for its unique high elevation location. The hotel's interior is very authentic and gives a cozy feeling. The staff was very friendly and helpful. True old-style hotel service: postcards and stamps on sale and service to take them to the post box.
For the delicious 3-course dinner menu (390 NOK) we got a vegetarian variant as requested.
The breakfast buffet offered a great varitety of high quality food.
Not sure what the AC knobs in the room are good for.

Very nice place.
Minor issues: The omelet at breakfast was oversaltet and the wifi needs a router to improve the connection

If you plan to spend some time in Skjåk or visit Gamle Strynefjellvegen this is the right place to stay.
All good, nothing to complain to.

The newly renovated bathroom was nice. Friendly and helpful staff. Great dinner buffet.
Thin walls, could clearly hear people speaking in neighbouring rooms.

The breakfast and dinner was execellent. The staff was service minded.
Nothing to write on our stay
