Villa Virginia is a holiday home with hydromassage pool and sea views, located a few kilometers south of Reggio Calabria. Ideal for small groups or families that want to experience the territory in an authentic and at the same time comfortable way.

In the immediate vicinity you can enjoy well-equipped and free beaches known for lovers of windsurfing or kitesurfing, the area is in fact one of the most renowned places (spots) in Italy among lovers of this sport all over the world. The property is just 13 km from Reggio Calabria, 7 km from the Strait Airport and 14 km from the port of Reggio Calabria from where you can reach Sicily and the Aeolian Islands in a few minutes.

Antonio was an amazing host and the house was perfect for our needs. It was spacious and the views were incredible!! Antonio’s mother was so accommodating and greeted us even though it was nearly 3am by the time we arrived, on a night before work! She had provided us with snacks and homemade bread. She ended up making us a tarimasu, a homemade lasagna and fried zucchini all of which were amazing!!! The pool was a perfect escape from the heat and overall just an amazing experience. Antonio was so helpful in getting our rental car, pointing us in the right direction for groceries and other needed items. A trip forever etched in our memories!!

Nous avons passé d excellentes vacances . La maison est spacieuse climatisée et il ne manque rien. À notre arrivée, nous avions même le nécessaire pour le petit déjeuner du dimanche. Nos hôtes et leur famille sont toujours disponibles mais très discrets. Leurs conseils sont précieux et nous avons fait une excursion fantastique dans les îles éoliennes. Nous avons pu nous rendre en Sicile très facilement et nous avons pu profité pleinement du cadre en face de l’ Etna. Nous recommandons cette location en famille ou entre amis.

We stayed at this accommodation for five weeks from December 2016 to January 2017. The accommodation was fabulous. It is not often that the accommodation is more impressive than the photographs. The apartment has five bedrooms, two are en-suite. The view of Sicily and Mount Etna from the lounge and balcony is breathtaking. The hosts, Graziella, Nino and family are very welcoming, very kind and extremely helpful. They truly are a wonderful family. They also run a local travel agency so they are very qualified for renting out a holiday let. Reggio Calabria is a delight. Please don't expect Florence or Rome when you visit Reggio. In this area the town is more modern. It is run down in places due to the current economy but that is more than made up for by the weather, the trips available to you and the people. This is a destination for experienced travellers. Access to Sicily is excellent but if you are staying here you would be better served focusing on the local towns such as Scilla, Bova, Pentedatillo, Gerace, Aspromonte National Park and of course Reggio Calabria. Reggio has great restaurants and bars as well as a fabulous street, "Garibaldi" for shopping. If you stay here you will need to drive almost everywhere. In the summer you may be able to pop down to the beach on foot but it is more advisable to drive as the highway is at the bottom of a small hill just away from the property. It isn't really a location where you can take a walk to a restaurant, car is advisable but dont let that put you off. This is a great property and a great location. If you are very fortunate you may get to try Nino'w bread. It isn't something he makes every day. When he does it is in large batches and it is the tastiest bread we have ever eaten.

"Nous devons laisser une appréciation depuis notre premier séjour, il y a 3 ans, mais une fois rentrée le temps passe et... Mais aujourd'hui nous y sommes encore, et je profite du fait que les propriétaires rendent encore plus confortable le gîte en ayant fait installé WIFFI, pour faire mes compliments en direct. Nous sommes toujours aussi contents d'être là, nous en sommes à notre quatrième séjour, les propriétaires sont pour nous devenus des amis qu'il est devenu de plus en plus difficile à quitter, mais tellement agréables à retrouver! Eté comme hiver, l'appartement est très agréable et confortable. Nous venons avec nos enfants qui sont ravis également de leurs séjours. La décoration est très raffinée, la vue est "magique" sur la Sicile. Nous, on aime+++++."

"J'ai passé deux mois (non consécutifs) dans cet appartement. Deux mois qui resteront pour moi inoubliables : la vue absolument stupéfiante sur l'Etna et la Sicile et ce, à toute heure de la journée, qu'il est possible d'admirer du jardin, de la terrasse mais aussi de l'immense solarium situé sur le toit, conjuguée à la tranquillité de la colline environnante et à l'accueil on ne peut plus courtois des propriétaires. Ces derniers, qui savent rester à leur place sans "envahir" les hôtes, aiment la Calabre de tout leur coeur et ils n'auront de cesse, si vous le souhaitez, de vous y guider en vous l'expliquant et en vous transmettant leur passion. Intérieur soigné, propre, de très bon goût où une bibliothèque est à votre disposition. Les amoureux de belles longues plages "sauvages" ou aménagées n'auront que l'embarras du choix ... Les surfeurs également. Nino vous fera certainement goûter le pain qu'il fait au four ... Graziella saura vous conseiller quant à vos excursions que ce soit en Calabre, en Sicile ou ailleurs .... Avec eux, vous apprendrez la Calabre chaleureuse, solidaire, joyeuse, gaie et lumineuse. "

"We rented the Apartment in October 2006. It is one of the most spacious and best presented apartments we have ever stayed in. Views from the balconies were amazing. The apartment has an extremely well equiped kitchen with a patio out the rear to enjoy breakfast in the sun. It is an ideal location to explore Reggio Calabria as well as Sicily. The Owners who lived downstairs could not do enough for you and are very very friendly without being overbearing. They make the BEST home baked bread! A car is essential. Beaches are within 10 mins walk and superb pizzeria with pizza spinning displays to keep the children entertained within 20 mins walk. Superb."
