A good heated pool with a great view
Minuscule room with a stinky dead rate smell for $325 a night, way too expensive for what it is. Loud club music and road noise. Avoid at all cost. No one will be here to check you in but still charge you $30 extra if you arrive after 7:30pm.
This was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. We booked this hotel three weeks before our vacation and were shocked when they took 100% of the room fee immediately after booking. The room was already overpriced at $325 a night for a minuscule 26 square feet, which we had to share with our 8-year-old daughter.
Soon after booking, we found another hotel with a larger room and a better location for a similar rate. I emailed this hotel asking to cancel our reservation, but they flatly rejected our request, insisting they would charge the full price anyway. Left with no other option, we reluctantly kept the reservation.
On the day of our arrival, we received a call from the hotel informing us that if we arrived after 7:30 PM, there would be no one to check us in, and we’d have to pay an extra 30 euros for late arrival. We arrived at 8:30 PM and were immediately disheartened. The room was located on a steep hill with over 50 stairs to climb, which was a nightmare with all our luggage.
Once inside, we found the room to be a complete joke. The bed for our daughter was right next to the door, and the entire room reeked of a nauseating smell like a cheap car air freshener. The tiny kitchen had an awful stench, reminiscent of a dead rat that hadn’t been removed for years. We called the hotel to request a different room, but the person we spoke to refused to move us, instead offering a refund if we chose to leave. It was already 9 PM, and he knew it was impossible for us to find another hotel at that hour.
To make matters worse, at 10 PM, our daughter wanted to sleep but was kept awake by incredibly loud party music from down the hill and noisy cars. This hotel’s pretty pictures of an infinity pool are deceiving.

Endroit magnifique avec vue sur mer. La piscine est chauffée et ça c’est top! La plage est quasi à côté ! Parfait pour notre petit week-end en Famille.

Amazing views. Beautiful pool and garden. Very nice receptionist/helper. 3 mins to the beach.
Too many stairs. Comfort of room very basic. Parking on property very awkward. Very steep drive from road.
Wifi didn't work. Apple TV in room but remote didn't work therefore no TV if you don't speak French or German.

Lou Trelus is the perfect place to stay if you are visiting Saint tropez. the clean spacey rooms, the view, heated pool, nature view. The owner is very kind and sweet, Mme Viviane made this place a piece of heaven in the south of France.

lovely location, very convenient. swimming pool was amazing, heated & warm even in late November.
lots of steps, which was fine for us but not for everyone.

Lovely family room with a good amount of space for 2 adults and 2 children. Awesome pool with beautiful views. An easy walk to town centre. Lovely owners who were patient with our terrible French and spoke in English as much as they could.

everything!

Quiet location with fabulous view
Bed and pillows not comfortable. Steep driveway made it very inaccessible and was very slippery, my daughter fell and cut herself quite badly (whilst walking very carefully)

We waited about two hours outside the building. We did not have an entry code for the building ..., the floor ... and the apartment

Lou Trelus is an amazing apartment hotel! Vivianne welcomed us very warmly and gave us great recommendations. The hotel has an amazing view over St. Maxime and the bay. The villa is beautiful and has a beautiful garden with a great infinity pool. The room was very clean and had everything you needed in such an apartment (cooking appliances, WIFI, a little terrace). The city is also not too far away by foot and great restaurant options are nearby. We had a wonderful stay and definitely will recommend the hotel to our friends and family and come back to stay a bit longer.
If traveling by car it can be a bit tricky to reach the house as the access is very steep and parking limited.

Location, infinity heated pool all time, sea view, rooms, nice and friendly staff and owner of the villa.
Pillows could be better (too soft) but nothing to complain.

We really enjoyed the stay. Especially the view at Sant Tropez from the terrace and from swimming pool was breathtaking.

It’s a great place, super nicely maintained, very green and lush.
A super short walk to the beach.
And bring your own dish washing supplies, since nothing is provided.
I didn’t like that it’s very close to the main costal road and even off season traffic can be really loud.
And if you have a smoking neighbour you can’t avoid the smell.

The appt, though a little small, was fine for a couple of nights. It was extremely clean and tidy and plenty warm enough. It suited our family of 4 perfectly. The proprietor was friendly and helpful on our arrival. It’s position was stunning though we didn’t have a sea or pool view when inside but it didn’t matter really. All in all, pretty good.
We’ve stayed in loads of self-catering appts over the last few years. I have to say we cannot remember, despite all the good things about our stay, staying somewhere where there were no cleaning (washing up liquid, sponge etc) stuff, no salt and pepper...absolutely nothing!! As we were only staying 2 nights, this was a bit awkward to be honest. There was nearly half a toilet roll when we arrived and when we had to ask for another, we were given precisely that..one more! It wasn’t a bit deal but if you stay here and read this, assume there will be nothing like this provided and then you’ll be prepared!! It’s not a cheap property and is worth the money based on siting and cleanliness...but it wouldn’t take much to have turned this into a completely positive review.
Oh. And the WiFi was virtually non-existent.

• Lou Trelus is a very charming villa which has been split into max 5-6 apart rooms. All rooms have sea view. Ours was on the corner with a bigger terrace, though our sea view was not as much as the other rooms, we really enjoyed the big terrace and you get to see the sea view from pool area all day long so it was not an issue at all.
• The room is very compact but enough for 4. One double bed, 1 bed which you can pull to get the second matela underneath and a couch. It has a small kitchen where you can cook very practical meals. We did crêpes and omelette during our stay.
• The pool has an amazing view, you can enjoy the perfect green&blue combination of Mediterranean while swimming.
• The public plage is just a few steps from the villa. We bought portable chairs from Decathlon so it was very practical to walk down, enjoy the sand and the sea and come back to pool whenever we wanted to.
• We also went to some private beaches but as our kids are more into pool, it really did not make any sense to to pay 25 Euros per bed in the beach area.
• If you are planning to visit St. Tropez, it would be better to take the ferry (15 minutes) from Sainte-Maxime port area as the traffic is very dense (1-1,5 hours one way).
• Our friends took us for boat trip so definitely recommend to rent a small boat without license from Port Grimaud and enjoy the beautiful sea. Go and visit Port Grimaud even if you will not rent a boat as the port is constructed in a way that port is made of canals. Looks very pretty.
