the space was large but not nicely decorated .
no drinks or even water in the refrigerator (completely empty), the view was not open en the location required all things to be done by car. access very small road. for this kind of monet=y we would expect a better view and better services available, there was nothing in the kitchen on drinks or what ever, no sugar for 6 coffee capsules. for this money a first call hotel at the lake (not small lake view). anyway we enjoyed going by car to the city of Lugano Como etc...

It is a tiny apartment with private patio
and parking and a great view to the lake. You get instructions on the phone from the owner who is aldo nice.

The host was available for us to help solve some of our travel interruptions and difficulties. He was so understanding and helpful. He really put us at ease and was so considerate to our travel issues. When the European converters we brought didn't fit, he even loaned us some that fit! He even texted in at the end of our stay to make sure all was going well. We definitely would love to come back again. The garden and lake view was so peaceful and relaxing after a difficult train travel journery.
Nothing at all! It was very clean and comfy the bedding was wonderful. The garden view over the lake is priceless and so private!!! We would definitely recommend this bungalow!

The location was beautiful. The owners are wonderful. A lovely walk from the villa to Gandria as well as to the heart of Lugano by the lakeside. Not far walking distance to
the Monte Brè funiculaire.
I highly recommend Giardino Violetta

Villa Giardino is in a beautiful location with amazing views.
The property, both inside and out was immaculately clean on arrival. The kitchen was well equipped, the bathroom is spacious and very well set out. The bed and lounge are comfortable.
There was no noise whilst we were there, sitting at the bistro set on the patio, overlooking Lake Lugano, all I heard was wildlife and the occasional car in the distance. When you look at the outside space in the photographs, the whole space is private to Villa Giardino, a real bonus.
The host's contact was perfect, from the point of reserving the villa, right up to the day before checkout. Not too much contact, but all the information required was made available and the reassurance that if there was anything I required I could contact him, on the occasions I did make contact prior to the rental, my questions were answered without delay.
I will definatly be returning, and would like to assure anyone reading this review, that you will not find a better rental property in this location that offers this much value for money.

My husband and I spent 2 weeks in December 22 This beautiful place felt like a home away from home. Bernhard was an amazing host. Luckily for us he and his wife Olga were also on vacation so we had the pleasure of meeting them.
Normally we would not have stayed in a 'Studio' but this is not your typical studio. The apartment is very spacious and the bathroom is huge and well designed with ample closet space which came in handy because of our long stay. The laundry area is separate with a washing machine and a dryer. The kitchen is adequately equipped and we did cook some simple meals during our stay. The sofas are comfortable and the furniture , fixtures of good quality.
The view of the lake is a real bonus. Despite the chilly weather we did spend some lovely time in the garden
We had read the reviews and the only negative comments were about the mattresses. I wrote to Bernhard and he changed them well before we arrived as promised. The beds are now very comfortable and ideal for a good nights sleep. We can vouch for that :)
The apartment is in a quiet upscale neighborhood with dedicated parking. A 20 minute walk takes you to the town center cafes, restaurants and supermarkets. We had rented a car so were able to explore a lot of lovely places nearby. Bernhard's suggestions were helpful and so were the booklets available in the apartment
Would love to visit Lugano again in the summer and most definitely stay here
Bernhard doesn't live here ,so information regarding wifi password , garbage disposal etc should be available in writing and pinned up for easy access.

2 comfortable bed pillows would have been nice and also some bathroom amenities would have been appreciated

spacious and clean. good instructions from owner
Look, it’s nice and all but it’s way oversold on hype and definitely not worth the high end price tag. We are well seasoned global travellers and although it’s clean and spacious, it’s otherwise all very “standard”. The bathroom is the best part.
The doubled bed is in fact two singles pushed together, the furniture and amenities are all cheap and rather tacky
and the view is barely visible. The so called “private garden” is just a tiny courtyard that is unappealing albeit private. it also was full of mosquitoes and the sprinkler came on in the morn when we tried to Sri there.
The room is in fact just the backside to the main house (aptly called Bella Vista) so you only get a their big wall and then a sneak peak through the garden which is largely obscured by the trees and houses. You don’t have direct access to the water and it is quite a few levels backed away from the shore.
The area itself is also just next to the built up tacky high rise area of Lugano so it’s best to move up to the Italian small villages around the corner to get some olde worlde class, ambience and access to the gorgeous lake.
The owner was very good at instructions before we arrived,
to be fair.

+ Great location, beautiful view to the lake
+ Quiet place
+ Friendly host
- Pillows too thin and the bed is not so comfortable

The garden and the bathroom was fantastic. Sofas were comfortable. TV was large. Easy transportation to the city. The view was spectacular.
Everything was very good but to make it perfect, a small bench would be nice at the entrance to take off our shoes. We had to go inside the main room which makes the floor dirty, but that applies to a certain age group :). No microwave. The apartment cleaning costs was a little to high. Otherwise i loved it and my mother adored it. Thank you

The patio with its delightful view; spacious; the apartment was fully "kitted" out; the proprietor could easily be contacted to obtain further useful information and advice.

The location was perfect, super clean, big bathroom. Everything needed is available well equipped. The hosts are super nice
If we are in Lugano again in the future we would stay at the same apartment

The property was refurbished recently so it looked pretty good. The garden and the view are really nice (it does seem to be a shared garden tough)
I believe the 5 star rating on booking is a little misleading- when you have a single soap to share between the shower and sink, when there is no cleaning service for 5 days...I would not call this 5 star. This is not the first time when booking.com is overly generous with the ratings
Also in the mornings it was quite noisy from upstairs.
You should do yourself a favor and spend some extra and stay at a proper 5 star hotel.
