The location was brilliant once we found it.
Do not do what we did and follow the sat navigation down a bridleway... my car is not happy.
Loved that we had the whole downstairs to ourselves and the photos do not do the place justice it is so roomy and spacious. Great and easy parking and large garden for dogs to exercise on. Fantastic shower-room plenty of space.
Nothing.

Location and seclusion
Wifi was patchy.
Bedroom was large so a 4ft 6inch bed was a bit disappointing.
Only one bedside table / light.
Kitchen equipment was a bit limited.

We can highlyThis place is really lovely. Very clean and comfortable. The location is very peaceful and secure parking. Very handy for clumber Park, Thoresby Hall and Sherwood forest. We would recommend with no hesitation.

There were nice touches such as plenty of appreciated sundries provided…coffee, tea bags, dish washer and laundry tabs. The TV in the main area was good with lots of channels. Very near to the A1 (obviously with the traffic hum in the background) but countryside feel.
If you like dogs Barnie the resident canine is extremely friendly and a delight and often came to say hello ….although do be careful if you leave food on the side in the kitchen…he will have it away if the owners let him in….cling film included 😳!
May be ok for a short term visit but unfortunately this property in its current state I would not recommend for a more lengthy stay. Such a shame as this place could be superb if a little effort was put in on cleanliness, comfort and attention to detail.
Communication was poor compared to plenty of previous hosts on Booking.com….I had to contact the hosts 2 hours prior to check in for details of key collection/ checking in procedures (which as it turned out was definitely required given the property is behind closed gates/near to another property) ….although I did receive a timely response (never had to do this before). Despite me asking for a pointers on location (given previous reviews on difficulty in finding the place) no response to this was received…although my sat nav did get me there without difficulty. Be aware the half mile track to the house is extremely arduous and difficult on the tyres…I wouldn’t recommend a low profile vehicle on this journey!
There were clearly problems with the property which I wasn’t informed of prior to arrival …whilst advertised with underfloor heating throughout …no heating in the place at all….even the bathroom radiator did not work. In fact there was obviously a prearranged electrician visit which I was only informed about upon their morning arrival ….luckily I was up, showered and almost ready on that day as I had an appointment to attend. Again luckily there was a short mini heatwave during my stay, so although very chilly (I’m glad I brought a blanket which I used in the evenings) it was not completely unmanageable.
Be aware that the mains for the whole property are located in this annex and the electric tripped several times during my stay…resulting in the owners having to come in and turn the electric back on! One evening after it tripping several times…I had to leave my dinner prepared but unable to cook…..

Stunning location, very helpful and friendly hosts, 10/10 stay and would definitely return!

We were able to take the dogs and the tiled floors throughout meant no worries.
It would have been useful to have instructions about how to find the property as it is about a mile down an unmade, un marked lane that did not tie in with the post code. It would also be useful to have a visitor book with instructions about how to operate things like the electric gate or the TV which we never managed to get going, and a list of nearby shops or restaurants.

Accommodation bigger than I had expected.
Good location not too far from A1 although not aware of traffic noise inside property. Access is safer/easier from A634 Blyth to Barnby Moor but can be accessed from A1
Took 2 dogs plenty of room in kitchen, able to shut them behind the stair gate & walk them on the lanes around not having to worry about traffic.
