Just Perfect! A beautiful home. Clean cosy comfortable. The location is perfect, a secure back yard backs onto a lake and you’re a stone throw from the beach.
The host is lovely and very helpful. Providing information about local places and events as well as pet friendly locations which was really helpful.
The beautiful log fire was our favourite addition.
The bed was comfortable, big spacious living area and kitchen. The locals are really friendly and welcoming.
I cannot recommend this place enough, we will be back next year!
Thank you so much!!
Having to come home!!

The gorgeous cottage was very welcoming and a home from home feeling, very well maintained and clean, all the things you need for your stay is thought of, lovely area, close to the beach for an excellent walk, locals are friendly
nothing we didn't like

Lovely quiet location right by the sea and promenade

Country cottage by the sea , cosy and well equipped. Beautiful fireplace too .
Parking is nearby but some people like to have their cars parked within the property.

Location is excellent near the beach and back garden opens onto Queens Park and the lake. Cosy cottage with every amenity you could want. Walking distance from town centre. Quiet location. Easy parking.
Nothing. Everything was as expected and more.

Stayed here for 3 nights and we thoroughly enjoyed it, it is close to the beach which was lovely and relaxing to walk on. The back of the cottage is next to the lake and wild life. We enjoyed a pint at the pub down the road and had a friendly atmosphere. The nearby cafe on the beach front was nice too. The cottage is very cosy and was very warm for the whole stay.

We absolutely loved our 4 day break at Fisherman's Cottage. As soon as we arrived it felt SO homely and totally lived up to the all descriptions and photographs.
The location is second to none as the lake is litrelly on your doorstep and is beautiful for a quiet stroll. We loved having our morning coffee and evening drinks on the patio overlooking the lake.
The lovely clean beach is literally a 2 minute walk away and goes on for miles and miles with a promenade running alongside.
The owners have really thought of everything! So don't worry if you forget something as there are supplies for all of everyday requirements just in case.
Downstairs the cottage is relaxing and homely with such a warm feeling of romance especially with the feature of the stunning log fire!
The kitchen and dining room both overlook the lake and is spotlesly clean and more well equipped than ours at home.
Upstairs has the biggest most comfortable bed I've ever slept in with plenty of storage for your clothes in both bedrooms.
We only arrived back yesterday and have already booked again for a week next year.
Overall Fisherman's cottage is a five star stay and a must visit for all!!!

It was comfortable relaxing lovely cottage very clean it was also nostalgic my husbands nan and grandad used to own the cottage and it was sold in 2011 they were the ones that found the bread oven which is in mablethorpes history book he was over the moon when he found their original note left in the oven
Nothing to not like about the cottage everything was excellent

The cottage is lovely, cosy, very clean and comfortable. We did not have to lit the fire in the log burner as the cottage is warm all day with the heating on. The king size bed is super comfy. There is a nice pub just 5 minutes walk from the cottage and is dog friendly so we don’t need to drive somewhere after a long walk by the beach which is also few steps away from the cottage. We love having breakfast at the cottage as it overlooks the pond and at this time of the year there are geese and ducks swimming. Overall, it was a very relaxing and special holiday for us along with our little dog.

We (three adults & a whippet) had a great Christmas week at Fisherman’s Cottage.
On arrival, the Christmas decorations were up and there could not have been a more welcoming sight. Despite the rainy, windy weather conditions all week, the cottage was warm, clean, well-stocked and very comfortable. Although it’s quite a small cottage there was ample room for us all. There was constant hot water and we liked the fact there was the option to have a bath as well as a shower. Everything we needed for the week was provided kitchen-wise: plenty of plates, serving dishes, baking & roasting trays, etc - essential for the Christmas dinner! The provision of a microwave as well as oven & hob was useful too.
Location-wise it was great to be able to be on the beach within minutes, but also walk into town easily. The boating lake behind meant that it feels like there’s a river just outside & that the cottage is not overlooked by other properties, it also allowed great views of the sun setting each evening.
As the cottage is on a no through road, any passing traffic was rare, so it was extremely quiet. We would definitely recommend Fisherman’s Cottage to family and friends, who’d like a very comfortable & quiet seaside break on the Lincolnshire coast.

Location was great for the beach
It was a particularly cold spell of weather and we spent a lot of the time feeling chilly. We were surprised that on arrival the heating was quite cool and we had to immediately go out and buy logs and kindling for the log burner to warm the place up. Some complimentary fuel for a December visit might have been a nice touch.

The location is great, it's perfect if you have a dog. The dog friendly beach is really close. I loved the idea of the log burner, but we had exceptionally warm weather in October, so we didn't use it.
Nothing to dislike.
4.4
Furniture comfortable. Enclosed patio space which was dog-safe. Near to beach and off road walk.
DVD player did not work and not replaced while we were there. Took 2 days for housekeeper to come to see to toilet flush that wasn't working properly. Car parking - small amount of free road space often taken up with other vehicles and nearest car park was £5 per day. No parking at/on property.

Accommodation ideal, communication was great, location perfect, close enough to amenities but far enough away from any noise

The cottage was clean cozy and in a quiet location with comfy beds which made for a good nights sleep. It is in a great location with everything within a short walking distance and great for dog walks along the beach with it being only 2 minutes away. It had a great outdoor space which was very secure which made having the dog with us very easy. It was well stocked with all the things needed for a stay. Would definitely stay again if we were ever visiting this location again.

Location was nice with good access to parking
General cleanliness disappointing, whilst beds etc clean the bathroom is very old and grubby and the shower pressure was poor. Tiny towels and toilet paper lacking , upon asking the owner about these items I got no answer on these specifics s we bought our own toilet paper and some bath towels. When I pointed out I had had to wash plates cups and cutlery before I could use they just said the housekeeper washes everything , no apology and items I tried to use where not clean. When we tried to use the oven and hob at the same time the oven was on, the hob appeared to be on at lit up numbers etc but the hob rings just did not heat up, once the oven was off and we switched it off and on at the wall the hob burst into life- electrical maybe? and made for very challenging cooking for an evening! Entire place needs a deep clean, ornaments and lampshades all very nice but dusty and grubby. Such a shame as I wanted to believe the hype from the lovely pics and description but sorry to say this was a costly disappointment for us.

The location was really handy. Close to the beach which is what we wanted for the dogs. The host was very helpful with answering any questions asked, such as places to take the dogs and places to park.
There is nothing not to like. Obviously not a 5 star hotel but it’s a dog friendly place so it’s exactly what you would expect

The lake view was a real winner for us
Having to set my alarm to go and pay parking in the car park. I wanted a chilled night away with a lay In
This is literally the only fault but it can't be helped

Fantastic cozy, comfortable, cottage, excellent location and facilities, 2 minutes to the beach so lots of doggie walks. Lovely out door space which is secure for dogs and with nice views. Just a lovely place to have a break, and very easy to have the dogs with us. highly recommend
Really can't think of anything

Beautiful cottage. Very homely. Great location. Was really clean and tidy. Has everything there that you could need for your stay. Beds really comfortable. Beautiful lake views from the lovely large patio. Dog friendly too, our Cocker Spaniel loved it. Just a 2 minute stoll to the beach via the lakeside. Would definitely return and recommend, Happy days.

Would of been better if parking was available on property

Parking was a bit of a draw back

lovely little Fisherman’s cottage. A stones throw from the beach. Lovely log burner and comfortable sofas.
upstairs King size bedroom nicely decorated.
owner very responsive and helpful.
parking free on street. Peak times there is a large car park less than a minute away.
Kitchen adequately equipped.
Property is fully fenced. Lovely sheltered rear courtyard with ample seating.
Neighbours were also lovely.
It’s not what we didn’t like, just that the bathroom could do with a lick of paint. It’s a period property and therefore it understandably has some quirks- ie steep staircase and a couple of low ceilings in places, and the bathroom is downstairs with a narrow bath and shower over. I’m only mentioning this in case you happened to have limited mobility.
Towels are kindly provided but you may want to bring your own in case you prefer a bath sheet.

Location was lovely. Cottage was very well stocked. We loved the fact milk was in the fridge and tea/coffee etc.
Not the owners fault but the big lamp post outside the house was very bright and on all night which kept me awake.
4.4
The location to the beach as was only a few minutes walk. The cottage was well stocked with things that people may forget to bring. It was clean and the bed was amazingly comfy. It was lovely to have a nice little garden which we could gain access to a lake area to walk the dogs.

it was so close to the sea the location couldn’t have been any better, the cottage is beautiful! first time ever to mablethorp and it was amazing!

Best location in Mablethorpe, easy walking distance to everything. Ample parking nearby. Quaint & cosy cottage, great log burner, super large comfy bed in the main bedroom. Idyllic outdoor rear area (fully enclosed) overlooking the lake.
4.4
No heating or hot water on arrival (Sunday evening) ,not able to get wood for the burner as it was Sunday (our fault for not pre ordering). Also no heating or hot water on Wednesday or Thursday morning when we left. Stayed here 3 times now and love it but on this occasion did struggle with the cold as it was a very cold period ,lake out back was frozen. Did mention these issues in a note when we left but had no follow up which was disappointing.
4.4
Friendliness warm room and inn , good food, dog friendly good views, no pressure. Up to Scotland to receive a donation for Meningitis Research Foundation
All was fine.

The location was great - right by the beach, a lovely lake and only a short walk to the shops. Parking was a short walk away at a car park down the road - with ample spaces. The log burner was very welcome and made the lounge super cosy. The kitchen was well stocked with all manner of utensils etc. The beds were super comfy although we slept in the lounge - see below.
!Unfortunately, we had to clean the bath before use with c - but then couldn't use it as we had no hot water or heating throughout our stay which in February was a little chilly. We slept on sofas in the lounge to keep warm.
