Great Chateau located in a lovely quiet village a quick drive from Saint Emilion. Ayse, the property manager was super friendly and very helpful with anything we needed. Would definitely come back if in the area.

Everything! Lovely chateau with friendly hosts. Ayse was very helpful, and gave us a nice glass of local rose on arrival and let us have a later checkout the next day. The grounds are well kept, there’s nice comfy outdoor seating, and a lovely pool area with a secure gate. We had a Concerto double and they put a bed in for our son. Breakfast was amazing. Would stay here again.
I got a bit hot in the night.

Everything about our stay here was simply fabulous!
Prior to the stay, communication was brilliant with tips and advice on where to book restaurants etc.
Our welcome from Ayse, with a lovely glass of local wine, was friendly and made us feel at home straight away.
I cannot speak highly enough of our room (we were in the Patio Suite), and my parents room (the O Suite). Everything was sparkling clean, the beds were incredibly comfortable with extra bedding/pillows/blankets available as required.
The bathtub in the Patio Suite was so lovely I felt like a princess when bathing!
We were there to celebrate my mums 75th birthday and Ayse went above and beyond for us, providing a private area and great food for a breakfast celebration.
The hotel grounds are lovely and well maintained and the pool is a great area with heated water to enjoy a swim.
Ayse is the most perfect hostess; she was welcoming, friendly and super helpful with her suggestions and even called to make reservations at restaurants and a local wine tour for us.
I/We HIGHLY recommend you take some time to spend a few nights in this wonderful place :)
Everything was simply brilliant, I cannot fault it at all.
One suggestion would be an iron in each room - I had to borrow one from mums suite, but thats not a big deal!

Very nice with all the features one would expect with a Chateau including a pool. Great interaction and recommendations from staff as to places to eat from pizza to first class dining which were within walking distance. beautiful location on the river as well. very good breakfast and lounging areas. Easy to mingle with other guests. Easy to get to Saint Emilion and other places including catching the train to Bordeaux for a visit.
Nothing that I can remember.

Transport difficult without your own vehicle.

Nice room, quiet location.
No bubble bath or soap block. Noise transmission from above and corridor. Village auberge shut on Tuesday and Wednesday so had to drive miles for a meal.

We were fortunate to be able to book the same day as arrival. We were greeted warmly by Ashe who offered us a glass of wine in the front sitting room of this large chateau. She arranged a dinner reservation at La Cafe Cuisine which turned out fantastic for food and ambience. She also upgraded our roonm as they had a few open.

We loved everything about Chateau de Courtebotte. It’s a beautiful very well maintained property in a stunning area. We felt so welcome by Aysa who couldn’t do enough for us, including booking tours and preparing Charcuterie boards. Thank you Aysa. We loved the terrace on our room (The Patio room) to sit and have a pre dinner drink in the evening and the bathroom was the nicest I’ve seen. We got lots of use of the pool table too. A nice touch if that’s a game you enjoy.

Lovely chateau & gardens including pool.

Great pool, really helpful staff.
Property could have been cleaner and the hot tub was not functioning.
Also, the local restaurant was closed for summer, meaning the location was a lot less attractive and we were slightly isolated. The property knew this and should have told us in advance; we probably would have chosen to stay elsewhere.

Amazing breakfast, homemade yoghurt, granola, jams, croissant, eggs and lots of coffee and bread if you wanted it! Fabulous and beautifully presented. Lovely pool with comfortable loungers and a lovely well kept garden!

The evening meal and breakfast were great and it was great to meet the owner who really made us feel very welcome. I will definitely be returning to stay here, a perfect start to our holiday.

The grounds are a park-like setting, absolutely beautiful. The pool and spa were an added bonus and was so nice to have in the summer heat!
We had the breakfast a couple of mornings and was terrific! SO much food and all was delicious!
Ayse was the best and made the stay that much more enjoyable! She went out of her way to ensure we had a fantastic stay.
The only thing to mention would be the location, while serene and perfect for what we were looking for, is a bit out of the way. So you'd definitely need a car to get around and also for lunch/dinner. That said, we loved the location and perfectly fit for what we wanted in our holiday.

The pictures do not do the property justice. It is so beautiful and peaceful. The grounds and pool are so nice and the main chateau very pretty.
We enjoyed the full breakfast and relaxing by the pool. We also utilized many of the restaurant and chateau recommendations provided by the host
We stated in the studio suite. The primary bedroom had a free standing tub that was quite difficult to get out of and also to shower..... I have a bad knee so it may not be a problem for others

We absolutely loved our stay here!! The castle itself is gorgeous and it looks out onto the river which is also beautiful. We stayed in the private apartment and it was exceptional — large, comfortable, clean, well stocked kitchen. Breakfast every day was truly amazing, so many choices and the best breakfast I’ve ever had at a hotel. The host makes this property amazing — she is so kind and helpful with recommendations and just a delight to talk to. Cannot say enough good things about this place. Thank you for such a great stay!
