The staff were friendly.
I'm sure the grounds are nice in the warmer seasons. However, it snowed the day we arrived so we didn't get to appreciate them.
The venue wasn't quite how we expected it to be as it appears on the photos. The photos look fantastic but the venue looks grey. The rooms on our floor surround an auditorium (stepping out of your room, you appear on a balcony overlooking the auditorium). We can appreciate the venue would be ideal for conferences and events, and then you have a place to stay, but not for a couples or family holiday. We only stayed for one night.
The restaurant was "closed" even though it was advertised as being open unil 19:00 and we arrived at 18:00, and there was a group of people sat in the restaurant. No food nearby so we had to order a pizza delivery (which was one of the better pizzas I have ever eaten and a great salad, too).
The sheet on the bed was too small to even reach the corners of the bed and the duvet wasn't big enough for a double bed which meant one of us was colder for most of the night (me).
Unfortunately, there was also a power cut during the night which meant the power outage alarm was "whining" all night which was very disturbing and we couldn't have a shower in the morning. Again, this was out of the control of the hotel staff. But there was no mention of the power cuy when were leaving by any of the staff and no apology. The carpet in the room needs ripping up and relaying with a clean, new carpet. They are dirty and not pleasant.
The walls are very thin. We could hear the music from upstairs being played very loud and they were listening to the same song, over, and over for more than 3 hours! Very strange! Again, not within the control of the hotel staff.
We had a very strange stay and it had a feeling of 'the shining' to it, expecting Jack Nicholson to pop his head through the door at any minute. I'm sure this was just a case of inconvenient timing with the weather and the power cut but my wife said if she was there by herself, she would have looked for another property to stay at.
2.5
Great location and very affordable price
The place lacks some bare basics: you can't get a cup of coffee except walk to nearby gas station. Breakfast isn't served on weekends and restaurant is closed too of which there is no warning. Many of the listed facilities were missing when we were there.

Breakfast is poor
5.0

4.2
good breakfast, no charged from pets
