good hotel friendly owner

The owner could not do enough for us ,he cooked a really good breakfast ,he was friendly and happy to offer any information we needed.The room was lovely and clean and comfortable .The location was really good,highly recommend

Good two night break, suited our requirements perfectly.

Great location - breakfast made to our daily specifications.

With hindsight think we should have paid extra for the bigger room / bathroom, as room rather small.

A warm welcome and great location

Received a very warm welcome and had a lovely stay. WiFi was strong as mentioned in previous reviews, which I needed for online working. Everywhere was spotless, bed was comfortable and nothing was too much trouble. Great location too.

Leisure weekend

Friendly, welcoming, homely. Good food. Nothing too much trouble. Tasteful decor. Good location, central for all amenities, shopping and leisure. Highly recommend. Definitely will be returning.

Superb

Made to feel very welcome on arrival.All rooms are beautifully decorated and very clean. Breakfast is beautifully cooked from local produce. Nothing is too much trouble for the super friendly hosts.

Fabulous place to stay

Great value. Great location. Breakfast was spot on. The lace was very clean and Tony who runs it couldn't be any more friendly and welcoming. Also very helpful as just before we left he let us check out the other rooms that were empty. Would definitely give it 10 out of 10 and would recommend. We will definitely be back again.

The only fault was we couldn't stay longer as 2 days later we were going to Lanzarote. Can't wait to stay there again.

comfortable, relaxing and a perfect stay....it finished too soon.

an excellant location , 2 minutes from the promenade , with parking outside. A wonderful breakfast,, personalised to my specific taste, served by Tony , a perfect start to the day. Tony was an outstanding host, very friendly ,welcoming and on hand for anything that I needed. ....nothing was too much trouble ! I will certainly recommend the hotel to my friends and will visit again myself.

I liked everything about my stay....I would change nothing !

We booked it last minute and we will definitely be going back think that says it all

First time stays here but definitely won't be the last, warm & friendly owner who cooked a lovely breakfast and keeps a very nice house, as well as having time to talk to you about the history of the property, the area.

There wasn't any thing not to like, the rooms we had could have been bigger but that's only because they were smaller than ours at home so felt a little claustrophobic.

A clean fresh property with freshly cooked breakfasts.

Individually styled property with lots of detail, all clean and well kept. The cooked breakfasts were good and fresh, you chose from a list the night before, unfortunately one morning my bacon was cold.

The en-suite shower room was absolutely tiny. Just a converted cupboard really.

Very pleasant stay at a lovely centrally located hotel.

The breakfast was superb and set you up for the day. The location is excellent, being only a short walk from the main street. The information received by the hotel was very good, regarding eating places and locations nearby.

Only thing I was concerned about was the parking at the hotel. It only afforded 4 possibly 5 cars on the front of the building and the cars had to parked very close to each other. The car keys have to be left in the room so that if your car is required to be moved for some reason the proprietor can move it. There was apparently parking across the street but I wasn't offered this.

A brilliant place to stay, comfortable, immaculately clean and very welcoming.

The Ambassador Townhouse is immaculately clean and very well decorated and furnished. The spacious bedroom had anything that could be required and was very comfortable. The breakfast was good quality and quantity, with nothing too much trouble, including a late dietary request I had forgotten to mention. Tony is a great host and gave us tips on interesting venues for dinner and the trains to Liverpool.

The only possible improvement would be if the seagulls of Southport could be trained not to squawk until after breakfast..

I would have liked the basin to be in the bathroom rather than the bedroom. I also had not realised the room would not have been cleaned during our two night stay due to covid.

Great stay, nice chilled evenings in the lounge, and days out shopping on our doorstep.

Location brilliant within easy reach of everywhere we needed to go. Tony was a really nice bloke, very helpful. Food was nice, freshly cooked and hot. Room was spotlessly clean along with the massive soft towels.

To have had a small fridge in the room would have been good.

The breakfast was was first class one of the most choices I have ever seen in a bed and breakfast, and the host Tony went out of his way to make it the best experience you could wish for, will be staying again and telling my friends and colleags about.
