Agréable séjour à Houlgate !

Le lit confortable,chambre petite mais lumineuse.tres propre... Le petit déjeuner très complet, avec des produits maison vraiment appréciable... La salle d'accueil moderne et agréable avec de beaux tableaux portraits de femmes...

Dans l'intitulé est noté un patio ,mais en fait ce n'est pas un patio privatif ,et il faudrait le préciser tout simplement...

Fantastic family friendly apartment in the hotel

The apartment is beautifully finished and equipped, perfect for a family stay with two bedrooms, comfy beds and lovely quality bedding and a great bathroom with fab shower. Having the kitchenette allowed us to do a quick shop for picnic (late) lunch when we arrived and store snacks and a bottle of wine for after dinner in the evening. Outside private garden space is a huge bonus on a sunny day, just lovely. Wifi fast and free…teenagers happy! We got lucky with parking, 2 mins away by the crazy golf, someone just leaving as we arrived. On a summer public holiday weekend it was very busy…it’s all free in white line painted bays so no worries about paying or tickets. Breakfast was fresh and tasty…we really enjoyed the scrambled eggs offered, perfect! Owners are lovely, staff did everything to help…including very good English (sorry for our poor French). Thank you.

A small, but very nice hotel near the beach

Best thing about this hotel is the location: at the city center surrounded by small shops and restaurants it is still very close to the beach. The beach is a MUST when you stay at Houlgate.

Location in the heart of the city but still having a calm ambiance it is a big plus. Clear guidance from the staff member how to do the late check in was really helpful. And big plus for the possibility to have scrambled eggs for breakfast which is not so obvious in every location:-) I also admired the system of late self service ( the guests were allowed to take any drinks during the absence of the staff but had to marked it with the room number in the note book) - I didn’t use it but I find it super cool and handy for those who need a glass of wine before going sleep:-)

The room could be cleaner and definitely the bathroom needs more attention and not only general cleaning after each guest. You can easily see that for a long time some parts were omitted and it would be good to spend some time to bring them to the initial or close to initial state. Also I encountered some issues with warm water every day in the morning so I had cold and warm shower all the time even I didn’t want to increase my immunity with that procedure:-)

Nice hotel in on the main street of Houlgate, very helpul staff.

Cute property, nice room with a nice view of the surrounding buildings. The location was great and easy to find parking. The staff were ultra accommodative to walk as I checked in late at night around 10pm.

No fan in the room, as the room was on the top floor it was boiling hot.

Great hotel with very comfortable bed, bicycle friendly and helpful staff.

Great location in town close to the beach.Comfortable bed,super bathroom and helpful staff. Bicycles were put in a locked garage.Breakfast was good with local produce.

Nothing spiral stairs may cause difficulties with those with any mobility issues.

The pillows would have been better. One pillow is too low and two pile of it would be high as well.

The attic room (212) would not have been at all suitable for anyone over 5ft. 5inches tall. There was not wardrobe or anywhere to put clothes and no mirror apart from the bathroom mirror. The absence of parking on site can be a problem when the town is busy.

really a jewel for a break on the normandy coast

Very near beach, staff wonderfully helpful. Breakfast is far better than in almost any hotel, home cooking, fresh farm produce.

perfect for a short stay, very close to sea, good creperie next door, go!

Ground floor very well renovated, nice dining room, fantastic breakfast including home-made cakes, local food. Much better than the average hotel. Staff friendly , heapfull.

Staircase is a little tough to get up and down. Rooms are small.

Hotel was taken over by new owners in April so they are still settling in & are working on a orogr

Brilliant location in centre of small town, right near the beach. Plenty of restaurants nearby

Room small, bathroom very small. In need of updating. Steep stairs up to room so beware if you have limited mobility. Breakfast pricey at €10 but good quality.
