- Kick back, unwind, relax and enjoy Cape Paterson with its sublime beaches, great coastal walks and the nearby Dinosaur Dreaming Fossil Site for some interesting history of the area. - Enjoy the Cape beach house - a calm, smartly furnished, comfortable three bedroom beach cottage situated in a garden setting. It is calming, clean, light and super comfy, ideal for families, couples, solo travellers, small group of friends, pets, with a front gate. Highlights of the property include: - You can hear the sound of the ocean from the house - Great split heating/cooling systems (one in kitchen and one in lounge room) - Outdoor BBQ with bbq cooking utensils - Large outdoor dining table in the backyard and outdoor dining table on the front deck - Front gate and fenced around the property - Magazines, card/board games, kids colouring pencils - High chair THE HOME - Bedroom 1: one Queen bed - Bedroom 2: one double bed - Bedroom 3: two single beds The house accommodates up to six guests (including infants). - The kitchen comes with a large dining area leading onto a deck in front with an undercover verandah. Also a separate lounge room. There is a front and back yard which is ideal for a families. Property has fencing on two sides, rear and front fence with gate. Beach and spectacular views are a five minute walk including a rock pool - ideal for families, as well as a fabulous surf beach protected by a life-saving club in the Summer months. A very safe area with parks and play equipment for children. There are beautiful walks at Cape Paterson and around its beaches. There is much to do for a family holiday. Cape Paterson boasts fantastic surf beaches, an inlet beach with a rock pool. Great locations for fishing or boating. The city of Wonthaggi is only a ten minute car ride away with all the major supermarkets and smaller ones, hotels, the RSL and restaurants/cafes, shops etc. There is also the local coal mine tour in Wonthaggi. Phillip Island is a half-hour drive away. It is also ideal for a couple's weekend away. The area is quiet and energising. Cape Paterson has a Tavern with a fantastic menu and a general store to buy your essentials. There is a drive along the ocean coast to Inverloch.

My husband and daughter and my 10 year old twin grandsons spent a lovely 3 days at Rosemarys holiday house the place is very clean everything you need in there Rosemary the host was very accommodating overall we gave it 5 stars it’s everything the property lists

Spacious for myself, three teenagers and a dog. Had everything we needed. Lovely walk to cafes and beaches. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Kids want to return next year.

Simple little beach shack, relaxing and clean. Good location, little more than 5 min walk to beach with kids in tow more like 10-15mins haha but you can hear waves from the house on the little deck at night
For those with dogs, fence is not entirely dog proof and neighbours, not sure if were renters or owners had dogs, the wire fence between them wasn’t really enough, we ended up buying some shade cloth and stakes for a makeshift fence to cover wire so dogs couldn’t put heads through and all was ok. Beautiful place and Rosemary wonderful to deal with, Thankyou for our first family holiday, with a newborn!!

This was our second summer stay here and we enjoyed it once again. It's a simple home but it's clean and tidy and all we needed in a beach house. Spent most our time out under the trees if we weren't at the beach. We'll be back!

Absolutely loved it here. The house was fantastic. We couldn't get the wifi to work unfortunately but with the beach so close we didn't need it. House was clean and tidy and perfect enough space for a family of adults.

Basic but comfortable, not quite like the pics. Kitchen amenities limited, and no ice tray. It’s the small things that count.

This suited us and our dog-child really well. 10 Minutes to the beach, good facilities and the bonus Chromecast allowed us to stream our normal services from our phone. Looking forward to another visit at some point.

We had a lovely stay. The house had everything we needed and we found it very clean. Our hosts were easy to communicate with. Bonus was pet friendly with a very secure yard.
Locality wise it was very close to beach and all sight seeing.

We had a fantastic holiday stay at Rosemary’s place! The location is perfect, just a short drive to the beach with rock pool. The place is impeccably clean, and the communication with the owner was superb. Best of all we were able to bring along our furbaby coz the place is pet friendly. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Rosemary is a fantastic host. Very responsive to any questions. House is well appointed and maintained, had everything we needed. Good location with shops in Wonthaggi only a short drive away. Bit cold for the beach but some lovely walks close by. Thanks for a great stay Rosemary!

What a lovely spot. Great for our three young boys. The farm/beach house feel to the place was perfect. Close to great activities for the kids.

Lovely, spacious 3 bedroom place with all the amenities you need. Appreciate having a wide range of cooking utensils etc to stay in on Good Friday. Close to the beach and other sights. Rosemary was very responsive. A++++

The property was very peaceful and clean and comfortable bed . Fencing could be looked at not really suitable for a little dog . But overall it was a pleasure to stay ,and the dogs love it to .Thanks for having us .

The property was comfortable and dog friendly. Our only gripe was that we didn’t realise the beaches weren’t dog friendly and the only leash free Beach was tiny and unsuitable for much walking or swimming and we couldn’t walk to it from the accomodation. I think if people are bringing dogs it would be good to warn them of this situation.

Good quiet location. Cosy house with almost all one needs but if you love to bbq you need to bring your own as the property doesn’t have one. Luckily we could borrow one from friends. If you like a walk and don’t mind being a little away from the beach, ideal possy. But if you have chairs (need to have own) beach shade etc you’ll need to take the car.
All in all we had a lovely stay and will be back soon.

We had a wonderful stay in Cape Paterson. If we weren’t at the beach or out exploring then we were sitting out under the tree at the front of the house with drink and book in hand. It is a simple little house but has everything we needed and close to the beach, pub and cafe. Perfect for our 2 dogs and 2 kids. We’ve already rebooked for next year. Can’t wait.

Lovely little place with a very homey feel. Space for the little ones and fur babies to safely play outside. Quiet area with loads of natural bird noises. Close to the swim beach and rock pool.

Plenty of shrubs, trees around the perimeter provided a real sense of privacy in this quiet neighbourhood. Only a short distance to wonderful surf beach with crashing waves and 10 minute drive to Wonthaggi. Cape Tavern served great meals. Property was a bit dated but everything we needed was there. Allowed us to have the refreshing time we were looking for.

The home was very clean and even though it's compact it has everything you need. Our dog enjoyed hanging out on the deck after our daily walks at the beach.
