Nothing to dislike here

The place is really nice and easy to reach. The staff was friendly and happy to help for any little problem or necessity we had.
Everything was how we aspected or better. The only negative point is that is a bit in the middle of nowhere, so you can't go out for a walk or have a coffee somewhere (other than the hotel bar, which is nice BTW), you definitely need to drive to get anywhere.

The hotel accommodated our late arrival; later than the advertised check in times. Initial reception was good, member of staff was very pleasant and helpful.
The hotel had character and the restaurant looked good, but we arrived far too late to eat.
Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable.
Breakfast was disappointing. The bread and pastries were lovely, but there was no fruit and items needed replenishing, but staff needed to be asked. The photograph on this site is misleading with regards to the fruit. With a vegan in our party, we chose to have breakfast here based on the expectation that there would be fresh fruit. Lesson learned by us is the need to ask and confirm.

nice renovations - great room comfortable

nice big rooms , super friendly staff, and a sensational restaurant
Wi-Fi could have been better and an extra pillow in the rooms would have been good ( though I’m sure the lovely staff would have supplied had I asked)

fabulous restaurant and bar

The hotel is in a beautiful old complex with a restaurant on site. It's not open on sunday evenings so that was bad luck. but from Lompret you are quickly in Lille or in one of the surrounding villages. The room is very comfortable, spacious and wheelchair accessible. We also enjoyed the visit of a cute black cat!

Fabulous service, staff went above and beyond. We were running late due to traffic and they kept the restaurant and kitchen open for us so we didn’t have to venture out late and eat in town. Rooms were spacious and clean.

Great staff, food off fixed menu excellent, secluded spot in the middle of a busy area.

We were woken at midnight and at 7 am by people trying to get in our room! The rooms are not clearly numbered!
The stairs are very noisy too

The breakfast was superb and the staff were all pleasant and helpful. Dinner was good. The location was very convenient and surprisingly quiet given how close it was to the ring road.
The room was pretty tired. The loo roll holder fell off, the loo seat was very wobbly. The light over the bathroom mirror didn't work at all. The lighting in the bedroom was inadequate and there were no blinds/net curtains to the large french window despite the room being on the ground floor and people constantly walking past just outside the window which made you feel quite exposed. One curtain fell off when we tried to close it! We managed to reattach it but I'm not sure you should have to do that! The bed was quite comfortable but the pillows were very basic. The grounds looked unkempt though there were two wonderful rose bushes. A fire alarm went off at about 7.00 pm and went on for sometime. No-one came to reassure us, not that we were particularly worried as we could get out easily if neccessary, but it must have been at least 10-15 minutes before it stopped which seemed odd. With a bit more attention to detail (brighter light bulbs would help) it could have been so much better. Part of the dining room looked out on a really dreary courtyard which had odd orange stools dumped it it, an unpainted wall and what looked like a large window into a room which had odd stuff dumped in it, why not clear it or get a curtain?

Breakfast was not great, think I was late down at 8am as there wasn’t much left. Dinner was excellent and staff very good. Room was very clean and nice.
4.5
good location, near to motorway links but peaceful with a courtyard the children could run around in and let off steam after 8 hours in the car. Within an hour of eurotunnel.
Dinner was delicious, the waitress- was totally amazing, great English - which helped us, also fab with the children, she was really outstanding.
An extra pillow would be nice, I am sure I could of asked for one but was tired and it was late when I got to the room so I didn’t want to disturb anyone.
4.5
This is a great location just an hour from the tunnel.
A beautiful place with a high quality restaurant.
Every one of the staff we met were so polite and friendly.
...and the wine (excellent Burgundy)
Nothing - it was exactly what we wanted for a good price

Very comfortable, great breakfast, really nice staff and very convenient location for a stop off en route to / from eurotunnel. Very nicely added extra bed for the kids.
