Une étape qu’on aimerait prolonger…

Le personnel est d’une grande gentillesse et se coupe en quatre pour nous satisfaire. La terrasse oú l’on dîne est très jolie. Le repas est excellent. L’hôtel est très confortable.

De nouveaux parasols en bon état à la piscine serait appréciable.

Idyllischer Gasthof, freundlich und kompetent bewirtet.

(1) Freundlicher Empfang ausserhalb der offiziellen Eincheckzeit. (Wir reisen per Fahrrad, der Tag war heiss und wir kamen Stunden zu früh => pas de problème!). Auf unsere Wünsche bez. Zimmer wurde ohne Stirnrunzeln eingegangen. (2) Fahrräder wurden sicher untergebracht im Seminarraum, nochmals "pas de problème"! (3) Lage!! Idyllisch am Fluss gelegen. Interessante Vergangenheit als Seidenspinnerei. (3) Essen und Getränke: Unprätentiös, aber von bester Qualität. Service begleitet von einem ernst zu nehmenden Lächeln. (4) Preis-Leistungsverhältnis: Ausserordentlich gut

Lovely one night stay!

Beautiful property with simple, but comfortable rooms.

We were looking forward to eating at their restaurant but unfortunately it was closed! There wasn’t any soap provided in our bathroom:(

Lovely place to relax

The small river next to the hotel where you can relax and cool down a bit on a hot day, without being crowded by other visitors in the area. The diner was excellent. The chef really knows how to create an original menu each evening and it's just a lovely spot to eat outdoors. Even though there was a language barrier (we only know a few words of French) the staff was very patient and did their best to make us comfortable.

It wasn't clear to us that the manager assigns tables for the diner guests beforehand. If we knew that we would have asked every time for a table with view on the river area when indicating that we would attend diner. It's a bit challenging to bring heavy suitcases to the rooms upstairs (located above the reception), it would have been helpfull if guests can use the driveway that leads to the top of the stairs to load/unload their car there.

Excellent food and rest in a historic and tranquil setting

This is a very special place using a now centuries old silk factory to create a resort in a quiet leafy valley. Both the room (overlooking the terrace and the valley) and the bathroom were spacious. We had eaten too well at midday to try the trout dish on offer that evening but the guests who took it seemed content, the terrace offering a lovely setting for an outdoor meal. Similarly, we did not sample the pool. The breakfast, focussing on local products, was of great quality and variety. The path to our room was flanked by lavender. In the sunlight it was full of bees and butterflies.

It is not a complaint but the access road up to the hotel is only wide enough for one car. Just drive slowly and be prepared to stop and if necessary back to a passing space.

Saying this hotel is worth a visit is an understatement, this place is perfect for relaxing in the nature. Most importantly the restaurant is not to be missed! We visited some Michelin places in the past, would argue this is comparable if not better

A lovely and unique location to stay while site seeing in the Ardeche region of France.

Beautiful location right on a river. They have done a fabulous job turning this old mill into a summer resort. Do not hesitate to book a stay here. It is wonderful.

What an enchanting hotel, in a perfect secluded location. Breakfast and dinner in the courtyard makes for that special vacation feeling. The short walk down for swimming in the river makes it extra special!

A very nice stay

The location, access to the river, the pool, the comfortable room, the friendly staffs. They take extra precaution with covid-19 which we really appreciated. We really enjoy our stay.

We would’ve liked if the room rate is including breakfast. Breakfast quality could be better, air con temperature cannot be lower than 24 degrees.
