About this apartment rental
3*** Breathtaking location in beautiful La Clusaz and conveniently close to Geneva + Annecy. The Apartment suits self catering winter skiing (piste, off piste, ski touring and cross country). Also an ideal base for a alpine summer holiday. Stunning panoramic views. This well equipped south facing apartment includes a working fireplace, balcony with BBQ, garage and ski locker. Wifi throughout. The Apartment faces south to the Col de Balme (2616m). It is set in a perfect location for enjoying the ski pistes cross country ski-ing, mountain biking, or simply walking - whatever the season! La Clusaz is a very friendly family orientated resort, with a character unique and lingering. It is a place that is hard to leave, and to which you will want to return time and time again. The apartment suits families, but their dogs are not allowed! ACCOMMODATION: Situated in a chalet of only 7 independent apartments at 1350m. The accommodation is set over two floors as a maisonette of approx 69 m2 of which 34m2 is on the lower floor and approx 35m2 above within a sloping timbered roof: At first floor there are two double bedrooms. The larger bedroom faces north, to the rear of the building and is spacious with two single beds, the other bedroom was created new in 2021 and enjoys breathtaking the mountain views to the South from a double bed. At Ground floor; open plan lounge/kitchen/diner with large dining table, and settee by fireplace, second double bedroom. Bathroom per floor (shower at first floor, bath at ground floor). Two w.c.'s in total (one on each floor). The Kitchen is well equipped with a microwave oven and grill, electric hob, fridge, dishwasher, pressure cooker and fondue/raclette set. Private washing machine and dryer are located in a basement laundry room. The lounge opens onto the sunny balcony which is the width of the property and is a very practical size. The closest ski lifts/cable cars and pistes are at La Balme (12 min walk, or 2 mins by car) which has a large free car park and fully links into the entire ski station. The Apartment is approx 200m from a free ski bus stop. By car (or bus) the apartment is approx 6/7 mins drive from the village centre, and the ESF ski school/ shops/restaurants etc. Lac des Confins and 4 restaurants are approx 10 mins walk away. Lake Annecy is only a 30 mins drive for beach swimming and water sports! Resort Information - winter and summer: In brief the La Clusaz ski zone covers 5 inter-connected mountain massifs with 86 pistes, and together with nearby Grand Bornand, provides over 220 km of ski pistes. The official ski season runs from approx Dec 20 to the end of April. Pistes and ski lifts etc are being regularly upgraded, and snow cannons have recently been added to the lower slopes at both Ski Stations. Across these two ski stations the runs are classified as follows: 40 green - easy 45 blue - intermediate 36 red - hard 10 black - very hard Very close to the Apartment (approx 15 minutes walking) is the Plateau des Confins with over 50 km of Ski de Fond pistes/trails and a ski school. The coupe du monde is often held there. There are new cable cars from the Village centre installed in 2014 and 2017. This is all a big bonus for ski enthusiasts! These cable cars are easily reached from our apartment: The Bossonnet lift is on our side as one enters the Village. Altitude ranges from 1100 (at village) to 2600 m. La Clusaz is continually experiencing quality investment including new ski lifts and snow cannons, a 5 star hotel, and a Deep Nature Wellness Spa.... If you are not a piste skier, of note the location is ideal for enjoying cross country skiing in the winter at the adjacent Plateau des Confins, which has 52 kms of trails. A 7 km trail goes to Grand- Bornand. Walking in the summer is literally on the doorstep, with endless possibilities of glorious panoramas without involving a car. In high summer the ski lifts operate, allowing walkers, sightseers, and mountain bikers to make the most of the possibilities. Entertainment is on hand in the summer with many mountain biking trails. Activities for children are plentiful. There are even 2 zip wires across the Lac des Confins to raise the adrenalin. Fishing permits are available for the lake which is stocked with Trout. A number of excellent Restaurants are approx 10 minutes walk away, near to the Lac des Confins, and many more can be found in the Village! The Tourist board in La Clusaz operates a busy programme of entertainments in both the winter and summer seasons, with the emphasis on families. Brochures are available. There is an excellent market every Monday in the Village. There is a great swimming pool as well as a cinema in the village centre. Transport: We recommend you travel by car, but we can offer a pick up and return to Geneva Airport through 'Aravis Transfers', to save you hiring a car. Une très belle semaine
Appartement conforme à la description. Spacieux, lumineux, fonctionnel, doté d'un balcon offrant un magnifique panorama sur les Aravis.
Check in/out par l'agence très facile. Nous avons reçu les cartes d'accès pour utiliser le réseau des bus de la station (l'arrêt des Frasses se trouve à 100m de l'appart).
Chouettes activités dans la station (concerts) et dans les stations voisines (Gd Bornand, Manigod).
En résumé un excellent séjour.

Avons passé un excellent séjour à la Clusaz. L'appartement, idéalement situé, était conforme au descriptif, propre et suffisamment fonctionnel pour nous rendre le séjour agréable. Rien ne manquait.
Nous y retournerons sans hésitation.

We hadden een prima verblijf in het appartement maar zelfs met 3 personen ws de leefruimte erg klein. Ook de keuken was erg klein en moeilijk bereikbaar langs de tafel, wel goed uitgerust.
Slaapkamers en sanitair waren prima maar WC erg klein. Als je de hele dag buiten bent om te skien b.v. dan is het een prima accomodatie.

The apartment is very cosy and welcoming and is close to the village of La Clusaz with all its amenities. The views in summer are superb - in winter they must be so much better.
The property was left in an immaculate condition and was well maintained with very good service provided by the owner.
Would we recommend the property to friends / relatives? Without a doubt, and for those seeking winter sports it must be a dream to be in such a location.
There are a number of bars and restaurants in the village, in summer these tend to call 'last orders' rather earlier than we would have liked but we soon adapted to the local pace of life.
The journey from Geneva airport by car is very simple (once you have found your way onto the motorway - make sure you get accurate directions from your car rental office!) and very pretty once you turn off of the motorway.
There are lots of great places to visit in the area - Lake Annecy, Chamonix etc all within an easy drive.
For those who are looking for a great place to spend a holiday either in summer or winter you can do a lot worse than base yourself in La Clusaz and this listing is well worth looking at and considering. We were not disappointed.

The apartment is very cosy and welcoming and is close to the village of La Clusaz with all its amenities. The views in summer are superb - in winter they must be so much better.
The property was left in an immaculate condition and was well maintained with very good service provided by the owner.
Would we recommend the property to friends / relatives? Without a doubt, and for those seeking winter sports it must be a dream to be in such a location.

Un magnifique hiver à La Clusaz
Nous avons loué ce magnifique appartement pendant presque tout l'hiver 2011-2012, sauf pendant les vacances scolaires de février. Nous avons passé un excellent hiver! L'appartement est magnifique, très propre, pratique, charmant et avec une vue splendide. Les 2 chambres ont chacune leur salle de bain ce qui est très pratique. La cuisine est parfaitement aménagée, même si elle est petite. Aucun problème de concocter de bons petits plats. Le micro-onde fonctionne très bien et a même un fonction grill et une fonction four.
Le must est de faire un BBQ sur le balcon avec la vue sur les montagnes!
L'appartement est très bien situé. Une des pistes de ski de fond passe à 100m de l'appartement.
L'appartement dispose aussi de son garage privé ainsi que son prope lave-linge/séche-linge.
En résumé nous recommendons vivement cet appartement pour 4 à 6 personnes (idéalement 4 adultes et des enfants).

This year we had six people staying in the apartment and we did run out of hot water every day as the timer was not working during the day. The apartment is best suited for 4 people although we managed with six because 4 of them were young people. La Clusaz was very busy for New Year's and we found driving into La Clusaz between 4-6p.m. very difficult with a long ques coming down the mountain. Parking was also very hard to find in the town. Otherwise we had a very good week and love the area and the town. New Years Eve was wonderful with fireworks over the town and a row of skiers coming down the mountain with torches.
