About this house rental
Our 16th century house in the heart of the gorgeous old town of Antibes boasts three bedrooms, three bathrooms and a small outside roof terrace. We have air-conditioning too.
The house can sleep 6 in beds, two on a really good sofa bed and, at a push, another 2 on self-inflating air mattresses, although 10 in the house is a squash.
The house is in the Rue Brulee, just off the Rue des Bains near the top of the old Marche Provencale. We now have a secure parking space in an underground car park about 400 metres from the house on the edge of the old town which guests can use for no extra charge- a real benefit in Antibes!
Students at Skema university are welcome for winter lets, as we have done successfully in the past - references available.
The house is minutes from beaches, cafes, restaurants, market, shops, the Picasso museum and the yachting marina yet is in a very quiet pedestrian street. It is also close to museums and the rampart wall of the old town which looks straight on to the sea. The house is on three floors with the middle one providing the main living room and kitchen, the upper one a bedroom and bathroom and the lower one a large vaulted-arched bedroom with bathroom which can accommodate several children. The property has all mod-cons such as TV, HI-FI, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. It also has ultra-fast 1 Gb broadband powerwed through 4 Nest wifi units.
Antibes is an exceptionally pretty place and has all the attractions of a historic old town such as a huge choice of cafes, restaurants and shops around the numerous pretty squares. It also offers the famous Picasso Museum, the cathedral, the Provencal market and the yachting marina.
PARKING is not easy in the old town and you can have a great holiday without a car or just rent one from the usual companies in the new town (Blvd Albert 1). We have a parking space in the new underground car park by the port, a five minute walk from the house which guests are welcome to use for no extra charge.
Everything from beaches to sailing clubs to boat hire is right on your doorstep and transport links to Cannes, Nice, Monaco and Juan Les Pins are excellent, either by local bus or train. There is no need to have a car although car hire locations are close by.
Antibes is about 10 miles from Nice International Airport and is reachable either by taxi or bus. The bus is now only €1 per person from the airport! The Alps are only about 90 minutes away for mountain walking and the hills of Provence are even closer.

We enjoyed the location and conveniences of the flat. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had all the necessities. The AC was wonderful. The stairs were a bit steep but manageable. There are a good amount of beach supplies which was great. I would stay there again if going to Antibes! The host was avai by email for any questions or concerns we had. Wonderful find for us

Lovely trip to Antibes, location is 5*, property is nice (a tiny bit tired and musty on the lower floor but probably expected in an old property like this) it was however clean and full of character. Very well equipped, good WiFi and short walk to the beach, market was great and a stones throw. Would have loved a list of recommendations, where to eat etc, best patisserie and best boulangerie. This may have been there but we did not see it.

Perfect location. Felt like home.

This charming home is in the perfect location in Old Town Antibes. It is literally steps from the Marché Provençal and the ramparts which overlook the Mediterranean. The house is very well designed and modern, yet its history has been tastefully respected. The property is on a quiet side alleyway, close to everything, but far from the madding crowd. The owner and property manager are pleasant and responsive. This is the perfect spot to unwind and take in what the French Riviera has to offer!

The pictures accurately reflect the home. Located in the old town steps away from the market, the ramparts, the squares. Avery comfortable home for short or longer stays. Well equipped. Excellent communication with owner and property manager on the ground.

The house was absolutely charming and being 30 steps to the bakery and 100 metres to the exceptional Provencal Marche was perfection. The underground parking facility was superb and only a 7 minute walk away. The parking facility is very new and top drawer. We made day trips along the Côtes d’azur and inland into Provence. Olivier, the property manager was an excellent communicator.
Antibes is larger than we expected, which was favourable in January as many restaurants were open.
And the train station is a 15 minute walk.
The only "complaint" .... more of an observation than a complaint.... was that 2 of the 3 bedrooms and bathrooms are downstairs, which felt a bit like a basement. A charming basement that is. However, the separation made for tremendous privacy for visiting family. The main floor space was fantastic.

We had an amazing week at this property in the heart of the old town. The location is incredible - literally steps away from the Marché provençal and Plage de la Gravette.
Communication with the host and the property manager was great. They were always on hand for any queries and super helpful and accommodating.
The property itself is very spacious and well suited for a multi-generational holiday. Just be aware of the steep staircases both up to the upper floor and down to the lower floor. It is something to consider when travelling with young children as we were. Stair gates at the property would definitely make for a more relaxing break for parents!
We had a fantastic time and wouldn't hesitate to re-book the next time we are in Antibes.

We had a great stay in old town Antibes! The property was as described and the location was superb. Central location and walkable to everything...the Marché was steps away and amazing every morning. The train station was a 15 min walk which provided access to all daily trip destinations. Communication with property owner and manager were excellent!

We could not have been happier with all aspects of this charming house. The location is perfect--in the old part of town, just a few steps from the marvelous Provencal market and charming shopping streets. The house is well set-up and ideal regardless of the weather. We hit some cool days and so the very effective heating and hot water system was welcome. Cannot say enough about how wonderful a 3-week stay we had exploring Antibes and the surroundings and returning to our comfortable home at the end of each day's adventure.
While we were only two people, a larger group would be very comfortable here.
We also greatly appreciated the timely and excellent communication with Ashley as we planned for this extended stay. All questions answered promptly and we had the great pleasure of a brief in-person meeting. Future visits to the Riviera will hope to include this as our new home base.

Very enjoyable stay
Lovely place to stay. Parking super useful. Location perfect. Made good use of the small courtyard area. As we did the beach gear. Would caution (1) that the stairs within the property are quite steep - fine for us, but we commented elderly parents might struggle and (2) the underground rooms were a little dusty/potentially damp. But that's the nature of such places in the old town I suspect and being underground helped to keep it cool - and this wouldn't prevent us from returning. All in all a great place, with a helpful owner and agent.

Perfect location and host
Clean, spacious, located smack in the middle. Host is most helpful I've had in a long time.

Beautiful home in old Antibes
We have just come back from 11 nights staying in Ashley’s beautiful house. We are a family of six, 2 adults and 4 children and we had plenty of room. It was extremely clean and had everything we needed and more. We barely used the outside “dining space” families do not be put off by the lack of outside space there are beaches on your doorstep and the house provides a welcome break from the heat at night. We would definitely come back again and we would highly recommend Ashley’s home.
La Gravette beach is a five min walk away but do head to the other side of Antibes towards Juan Les Pins to the small beach coves on Boulevard de Bacon. These magical coves provided so much entertainment for us all and really weren’t that busy. Lots of snorkelling and swimming and boat spotting
We had a fab time
Thank you for letting us stay

Lovely House, Close to Marche Provencal and the Sea
I chose this house because I planned to write and wanted to be near the market and the sea. The house embodied all of these wishes and more. The market was amazing; the produce was fresh and full of flavor. The kitchen was new and very user friendly. The beds were comfortable, the amenities carefully provided. The owners and manager could not have been more welcoming and helpful. I look forward to staying in this house in the future. Great for a family, but also very comfortable for a single writer. Thank you.

Erholsamer Urlaub

A week in paradise!
The house was everything we had hoped for and more. Great outdoor space which is a brilliant place to relax in the evenings with some food and wine. All three bedrooms a great size - and each with an ensuite! Beautiful open plan kitchen and living area (sofa is ridiculously comfortable) if you fancy a night in watching a film. Fully functioning air con is also a massive bonus for those warm summer evenings.
Location-wise the house could not be better situated; minutes walk from 2 beaches, a local supermarket, bars and restaurants, and if you are up a bit earlier, an amazing fresh food market.
All in all, we could not have asked for a better place to spend our week in the south of France. Will certainly be returning!

Stunning townhouse in old Antibes
This beautiful old townhouse has been lovingly restored and sympathetically modernised with very welcome air conditioning and three bedrooms, all en suite. The open plan living area includes an enclosed terrace which, whilst having no view, was perfect for an active toddler who loved running around on it.
We were three generations - grandparents, parents and baby - holidaying all together for a week. Not only was the house great for all our needs, it is also perfectly situated within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, market, beaches, not to mention the railway and bus stations. We used public transport for all our outings - very cheap and utterly reliable.
We were there for the 14 July and were able to watch the commemoration ceremony from Nice for the 85 people killed there in 2016. It was very moving and it felt great to be on the spot and pick up the emotion in the air.
There is a fabulous bakery within a few steps of the house and the famous Marche Provençal is just round the corner.
We would thoroughly recommend this house. We have stayed in Antibes many times but this is the only property to which we would consider returning and we definitely will. We had a fabulous holiday. Thank you, Ashley.

Hidden gem
Just back from an amazing stay in the very centre of Antibe. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed to shop and dine at home on the fabulous produce from the market, yet also step out first thing and enjoy the best coffee and croissant in seconds. We can't recommend this enough, perfect!

Every thing was great with the property,re
Ideally located in old Antibes with easy access to train and bus station, supermarkets, a trip every morning to the boulangerie and the provincial market every morning was a joy, restaurants of the highest quality on your door step and beautiful walks at night from the port to the cap,our only complaint, stay was not long enough, even after 2 weeks, loved it

Feel like you're living there!
Wonderful house with amazing central location in the old town of Antibes. So close to the market and not far to the beach too - close enough for breakfast! All the comforts you could need and great to escape to in the heat of the day. Ashley is so helpful and the car parking space is a godsend. Boys of 11 and 9 very happy and a daytrip to nearby Aquasplash at Marineland was perfect. The boulangerie is a minute away and whether it was sitting out people watching or wandering round the gorgeous cobbled streets, you really feel like you're living in Antibes for a bit ! Totally recommend.

Fantastic stay
This was my second year in a row staying at the lovely house in the old town in Antibes. It is so central - 2 minutes from the market and 5 minutes to the beach. I was with my grandmother so it was a perfect location for us as she could get to everything easily. There are also tonnes of great restaurants nearby.
The house itself is lovely and Ashley, its owner, sent me a really detailed guide of the area and how to get to the house which was incredibly helpful.

Cozy place down narrow lane in historic Antibes
If you want to get a feel for authentic old Antibes, this is the place to stay. Located down a quiet, narrow lane in the old city with no car traffic, it's a perfect place to switch off and relax. Great sitting room with a skylight and plenty of sleeping room in the lower level and upstairs with two modern refurbished bathrooms and a good-sized kitchen. Picasso museum and the waterfront as well as the Marche Provencal are just a few steps away. The place is kept clean, in great condition and it's easy to contact the local agent as well as the owner. Highly recommended.

Fantastic place to stay in Antibes
I took my grandmother to Antibes for the weekend. Ashley's apartment was perfect for us as it is so central we didn't have to walk far to get anywhere. The market, restaurants, bars and shops are only a couple of minutes away, while the closest beach is around 5 minutes away. The house itself is a lovely building in the old town and is very clean and tidy. It also has very fast wifi. I haven't got anything bad to say about the property - all in all a great stay!

Just fabulous!
I cannot recommend this house highly enough - the location is a dream, just yards away from the market and a short stroll to the beach; loads of excellent restaurants and shops on your doorstep. I did not hire a car myself but to have the option of a parking space in Antibes is gold dust!
I was very surprised to see one reviewer's comments about the agents - I found them to be friendly and extremely efficient.
I'll be back!

Nice house, wonderful area, appalling agents
The house is lovely and the location fantastic- Antibes old town is wonderful. However, the agents employed by the owner this summer were nothing short of outrageous- aggressve, racist and showed appaling customer service at all times. Such a nice place but can't recommend this to another other than experienced travellers who are not going to be fazed by such service.

great place, great time...can't wait to come back
We had a great time in this lovely house and can't wait to come back again next year. Northern Europe has been getting drenched by weeks of rain and cold weather and we were sitting on the beach just around the corner under blue skies and temperatures around 30 degrees. The water was even warmer (27 degrees) than the air back home. Unreal. It's great to be so close to so many great restaurants and an exciting nightlife. There were some great bands playing down by the harbour last night and the atmosphere was incredible. We'll definitely be back!

Third Time !!!!
Hi Ashley
We just wanted to once again we had a great time in Antibes. We feel more at home each time we come and love how everything is so easy....the bus from the airport, buying food from the market, finding a restaurant, even friends are able to pop over the weekend. Its a great place and I reckon we'll be back.
Thanks again
Debbie

Charming little house in the centre of Antibes
We've just spend a lovely relaxing week at this property and it was perfect. The house is located about 10-15 mins walk from the lovely beaches, 5 minutes from the Picasso museum and close by to lots of markets, restaurants, cafes and shops.
The house came fully stocked so we could enjoy evenings in, cooking dinner and watching a film as well as going out to sample the local bars.
The information pack was really useful in recommending restaurants and providing us with local information about supermarkets, transport and local sights.
Everything in Antibes is within walking distance, the bus from Nice airport was easy to use and very efficient, The house was clean and had all the necessary facilities so little effort was needed on our part aside from turning up and enjoying ourselves!
