We had a wonderful time in Maine! The house was exactly as advertised… only better! The views took our breath away and our daily beach walks were treasured family time. We had a lovely stay in this beautiful home. It was extremely clean and comfortable. The entire property was gorgeous and quiet, and the sunsets were spectacular - we enjoyed walking the beach with our pup. If you are looking for a place to get away from chaos, this is your spot. My 2 week stay was perfect. The house is clean, well-equipped and you can't beat the scenery. Took many short trips to hike with my dogs at Quoddy Head Lighthouse, Roque Bluffs, Beals Island and Cutler Preserve. At the property I watched mama deer and her fawn, Mr & Mrs Turkey with their 5 babies; a rare red raccoon at Cobscook Bay. Eating was fantastic, a favorite spot was Helen's in Machias for lobster rolls and pie. The house remained comfortable even though the last 2 days saw record heat for Maine.

Still dreaming of our lovely family getaway at the gorgeous, immaculate Sea Chimes cabin. Super comfy accommodations, astounding views of Holmes Bay from the wrap around deck, from the great room and master loft bedroom. Heaven! Incredible sunsets and cozy nights by the fire. This house really has it all. We enjoyed lots of day trips to Eastport, Lubec (our fave) and Campobello Island. Scenic hikes around Quoddy. We look forward to returning to this mystical corner of Maine again! Our big old (senior)) hound dog loved the daily romps down the private path to the bay/beach…it just really feels miles away from it all - it’s a very special place.

This property was beautifully maintained and provided stunning views all around. It was a wonderful experience to have a good old fashioned week of family time on this property. There was plenty of places to explore nearby. It was the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation spending time together at night playing board games and doing puzzles. The kids were able to spend a week barely looking at their devices. Highly recommend to anyone looking to unplug.

Great home for our family vacation! We enjoyed the location and being able to make day trips to Bar Harbor and Lubec, as well as all of the local hiking. We took the Acadia puffin boat tour which was fantastic. Saw a seal lounging on rocks during one of our hikes as well. Loved exploring the shore and having campfires in the evening. The house was clean and offered us plenty of space! Thank you for sharing your home with us. We hope to visit Maine again!

Quaint area, many lobster fishing warfs to discover. Excellent hiking trails, an abundance of wildlife. Acadia puffin tour was excellent owner/operator couple. Local restaurants all have great food and desserts. If you don’t enjoy this area and cottage you should stay in the city where you likely belong. Go looking for best priced lobster it’s an adventure in itself. Enjoy your turn!!

Location was perfect for a couple who wanted to disconnect from the world for a week. We loved listening to the ocean from the deck, private beach access to walk the coast. WiFi was solid enough for YouTubeTV to stream movies/football on the rain day. House was spotlessly clean! Would have thought we were the first guests ever if not for the guest book.

We arrived late last Saturday night and got out of the car to a sky filled with beautiful stars and the the Milky Way visible! We woke up the next morning to a gorgeous view all the way around the house! It was a great spot to spend the week. We enjoyed daily walks on the beach, digging clams and muscles, and sitting around the fire pit at night. Great location for day trips too! We went south to Acadia/Bar Harbor and north to Lubec. Thanks for sharing your house!

Five adults in their late sixties thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Plenty of room for privacy but also a great place to play cards, bbq, watch the tide and sunsets and the FOG. It was our first visit to Maine so we enjoyed exploring the area, Lubec, Machias and Eastport. We hiked several trails, rode bikes in Eastport, ate local lobster for the first time, and blueberry pie too! Ate at the Bluebird Ranch, Helen’s Toms for breakfast , and several places in Lubec. Went to bars: Thirsty Moose, Old Sow, and a few breweries. We made the most of every day!!! The temperature was in the 80s a couple days but mostly 70s which was a welcome change from our 100 plus temps at home! We were not able to go into Canada. We had passports but vaccine cards were needed! It was a wonderful vacation for us!!!!

Great relaxing stay
My family thoroughly enjoyed our week! The location was beautiful and serene, and the views were amazing. The house was spacious, very clean, and met all of our needs. When at the house we spent the majority of our time on the deck and shared the yard with deer, turkeys, and at least ten babies who were fun to watch. We hiked nearby and took day trips to Lubec, Campobello Island, and St. Andrews NB, all short drives away. It truly was the perfect getaway, and we would definitely stay again!

Awesome week!
We had a wonderful week. The property was perfect for our family - clean and plenty of room. The location was great to allow exploring the Machias, Cutler and Lubec areas. We especially enjoyed our Bold Coast Charter puffin tour. The Holmes Bay views were incredible! Thanks for letting us share your home. The property manager was really helpful and communication was prompt. Watch for the hawk who came daily to soar over the fields.

Perfect!
This cabin was perfect for us and our two dogs. We loved everything about it. Every room was nicely decorated and we felt at home right away. The best part was the location. Every day, we enjoyed the view as well as the sunsets. The view was just spectacular from inside (with all of the windows) and outside. We were in Maine to photograph wildlife and were so happy that we could also enjoy the wildlife right from the backyard and deck. We saw turkeys (with about 10 babies), ospreys fishing, adult and juvenile bald eagles, harriers and an American Kestrel. We loved that we could just walk the path to the beach below. We found the location to have a great breeze which kept the house cool. At night, we had to close the windows because it would actually get chilly. We had such a great time and experience. Sue (the rental agent) was also wonderful. She was always quick to answer emails and pleasure to work with.

Loved it!
We loved everything about this cabin. The views from the deck and windows were amazing and the area was so quiet and remote which was perfect for our dog to be off leash and run! We found a local lobsterman, Mother Shuckers, and picked up fresh lobster they caught that morning - it was delicious! We spent our days hanging around the house and going for walks when the tide was out. It was the perfect cabin for us - we can’t wait to go back again!

Get Away from it All
Comfortable log cabin. Lovely views of meadows and bay and nature. Bugs are bad, but it's summer in Maine, so beware. Beach was a bit mucky, so I suggest some rubber boots for walking along during low tides. On warm days the house gets hot in the afternoon because the sun shines right in. I would suggest some portable fans for the bedrooms. Nights cooled off. If you want to get away from it all, this is a great place to relax and read or do puzzles. We even did some game nights! Haven't done that in awhile. TV did not go on the whole week! Overall, enjoyed our week away from it All!

Beautiful Sunsets
We booked this property because of its "off the beaten path" location. It is definitely remote but after a long day hiking, biking and site seeing, it was great to come home and relax with a glass of wine (or 2) on the back deck, watch the deer and turkeys with the setting sun over the water. It's a beautiful house and I would recommend it to anyone. We will be back. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

Want to relax and let the world go by?? this is the place to be! Serene quietness surroundings with lovely well equipped home. We especially were delighted with the direct tv and excellent choices for watching favorite shows. Lobstah readily available at the wharf which Is only a short drive down the road. Great prices I might add. Sit on the back deck and engage with the realm of quietness that will restore your well being. We were refreshed and relaxed when we left. Loved our stay at Sea Chimes❤️ You will too

Hard to leave
This cottage was open and clean with plenty of comfort. Soft warm blankets, cozy seats in great room, great selection of dish and cooking ware. The decks faced the bay with a wildflower meadow surrounding the house. On hotter days open windows and breezes kept the place comfortable. We sat outside and saw deer, hawks sweeping low, sparrows, and some kind of grouse or pheasant. The stars spread out from horizon to horizon on clear nights. The beauty and peace were hard to leave behind.

Lovely views in rural, coastal Maine
We had a great stay at this cabin - 2 couples. Other reviews were absolutely correct that the views and sunsets from this cabin are a definite highlight.
Since most of us live in Maine, the best part for us was enjoying the way things used to be on much of the Maine coast when rural fishing villages were more common than mansions covering every possible acre with a water views. Be aware that Cutler is not a place to find typical tourist attractions, restaurants, galleries, shops, etc. This is exactly what our family adores about it. We hiked, biked, and paddled ... and I even went for a dip in Cutler Harbor at high tide. We are avid bird watchers and had hoped to see more species than we did from the cabin, but getting fresh dug clams from the local diggers made up for it. Being dog friendly was really critical for our family. The property is positioned nicely for dog walks. We wish we could have stayed longer and would definitely go back. We appreciated the availability, cleanliness and wonderful hospitality.

Relaxation with a fabulous view!
This log cabin exceeded my expectations. The view and sunsets were amazing. The king sized bed in the loft was comfortable and waking to the view of the bay was fabulous. We cooked all of our meals there and found everything we needed and more. We loved that turkeys walked through the property. One time there were 14! Our final morning we were treated by a visit from two deer. We also loved how quiet it was . . . No traffic sounds at all. . . and experienced peace and relaxation!

Maine where it is less touristy
This was out eighth trip to Maine. We wanted to explore Maine away from the main (pun intended) tourist attractions. What we found was kinda like Acadia NP scenery without the many people. That was excellent. The house is very private and the surroundings are very quiet. The views are wonderful. Nearby Cutler is a delight. We got what we came for. PS: Sue is a very responsive property manager.

Beautiful views!
Our family of four stayed at this house for a week. We absolutely loved the expansive water views and the sunsets were spectacular. The house was very clean and well-appointed. It was nice to have the ground floor room as a kid hang out space—it had lots of great games and was a nice spot for them to watch TV when we wanted to quietly read in the living room. The beach is very easily accessible down a short path and was a great place for walking and playing.
