0/10 on cleanliness, full blown allergy reaction

my partner had a huge allergic reaction to bed bugs in our private room which essentially ruined our time as he was not well (even went to the doctor, had to buy antihistamine tablets and creams), and we got offered to change rooms when I complained which I accepted due to the lack of time to look for something else and without knowing that in the other room there was a enormous amount of mould in the bathroom that was so smelly and literally made us retch any time we had to use the bathroom, filthy bathrooms (not regularly cleaned at all, simply couldn’t use the toilets as there were many men in the hostel and the toilet seat conditions were horrendous, floors were really dirty and they use the excuse that it’s shared but it’s their responsibility to stay on top of it if they know that is the case), showers didn’t work well (very weak water pressure, freezing cold and on one of the days, just no water at all), staff was too relaxed and sleeping next door to our room which was uncomfortable. essentially a very bad experience 0/10. DO NOT recommend at all.

Nice staff, safe area, self check in at night, bathrooms and dorms cleaned daily.

Not enough bathrooms for the size of the hostel. The beds were quite hard. It's in the center of Vila Madalena, on the one hand nice, but it's very loud at night due to the bars with live music.

best hostel in São Paulo with great location

Location, friendly and helpful staff, good relaxed vibes of the hostel, safe, large and clean bathrooms, the terrace

Nothing really - the only small hassle was that the hostel is on a very quiet, secluded street in the middle of a very busy part of town and it shuts the pedestrian and car access on the side of the road closer to the hostel. MADA communicated about this ahead of time and provided instructions, so really no complaints warranted

Sweet hostel!

Awesome hostel, with a great warm atmosphere, kind staff and people staying there. The shared rooms are spacious and airy and have real wood floors - one shared dorm called "harmony" has it's own balcony too. There are several large bathrooms for one person at a time (rather than stalls) which are so much nicer to use than shared bathrooms found in most hostels! There is a big, clean kitchen and free coffee is made for the guests each morning. There is also a second house across the street which has a great area for people who need to work. I's definitely recommend this hostel and stay again!!

Great location, simple but comfortable double room with en suite. In a lively area but on a quiet safe street. Also we arrived at 2am, and they were accommodating re. check in so late.

We liked the MADÁ hostel a lot! It's bright, clean and cozy. The kitchen is well equipped and big. The staff is friendly and helpful. We extended our stay. Thanks and greets!

The place to stay in São Paulo

Madá hostel is in a lovely location in Vila Madelena. Walking distance to all the bars and restaurants and Baco de Batman. Walking distance to the metro to visit the center. The hostel is on a lovely quiet street. The hostel was very welcoming and clean. Good kitchen.

Everything was great: vert clean place, amazing location, pretty quiet, good equipment, and flexible and nice staff

Atmosphere was pretty quiet. No real place or opportunity to meet other guests
