Luxury Suite Courts
Elegance and charm of the Bourbon era
Via dei Tribunali, Naples
2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms
Sleeps 6
Luxury Suite Tribunals is an apartment dating back to the '700 preserved in its original splendor and furnished in decadent style to capture all the opulence and elegance of the baroque era of Naples. The furnishing of this charming apartment, equipped with antique furnishings and six-meter-high ceilings, gives the apartment an air of extraordinary splendor.
Tribunals Luxury Suite has a width of 180 square meters, is located in a perfect location in the historic center of Naples and is located right next to the artistic center and the main cultural attractions.
The residential building where this apartment is located is part of a fifteenth century building which is accessed through a large stone courtyard. The facade, unique in its style, presents decorations belonging to the rococo, defined as the most precious artistic period in Naples.
The large stone staircase, attributed to Ferdinando Sanfelice, a renowned architect and painter of the seventeenth century, surrounds the inner courtyard of the building which is built on four levels.
The apartment is on the third floor and is accessible by lift.
This "Luxury Suite" comfortably accommodates up to 6 people.
Each room is different in both size and decor, with period furniture and silk curtains. The apartment boasts a valuable gallery of images of the works of the Neapolitan school and of the restoration group of the Sud Group Art. Lamps and chandeliers are ancient or reconstructed with original elements.
Remembering the luxury and magnificence of a bygone era, all rooms of the Luxury Suite Court have access to internal balconies overlooking the central courtyard or Via dei Tribunali. The apartment opens onto a small room furnished with books and antique wood furniture. From here you enter the living room with two classic armchairs and a comfortable double sofa bed.
The highlight of the apartment is the luxurious living room with adjoining dining room, with rich and elegant interiors embellished with frescoes and wooden furniture. Then, through the corridors, we reach the kitchen and the other rooms of the apartment.
The kitchen is well equipped with a gas hob, oven, dishwasher and all the necessary utensils if you want to cook a meal at home. There are two double rooms with private bathrooms and Juliette balconies overlooking Via dei Tribunali.
The main bathroom is located near the corridor and consists of a bathtub with shower, bidet, WC and sink.
Luxury Suite Courts has all the necessary amenities, including Wi-Fi internet connection, satellite TV, hairdryer and washing machine.
Luxury Suite Court is a rare find, with its neoclassical decorations and furnishings, murals and antiques, and can be compared to a living room in a baroque museum.
The district
Luxury Suite Court is located in the epicenter of the historic center of Naples in the famous Via dei Tribunali which is a historic street in the oldest part of the city. By day, the street is full of shops, markets and pizzerias. At night, the road comes back to life. There are people who walk, others who eat, others who enjoy themselves.
This neighborhood stands as a small and picturesque village within the city. The atmosphere is very lively, with small narrow streets that offer a mix of residential and retail shops with markets, craft shops, museums, churches, cafes, bakeries, pastry shops and excellent restaurants and pizzerias.
San Gregorio Armeno is only 5 minutes walk from
Luxury Suite Courts, and is the epicenter of the Italian school tradition. The Neapolitans and tourists flock to this street not only at Christmas, but throughout the year in which shops along the Via San Gregorio Armeno are producing and selling the famous "shepherds" of the Neapolitan crib.
At night, the neighborhood is full of life, with a multitude of clubs and bars nearby, not to mention the famous pizzerias like Pizzeria Dal Presidente and Pizzeria di Matteo, located along Via dei Tribunali.
Spaccanapoli is just around the corner and here you will find numerous places of artistic and cultural interest, including San Gregorio Armeno, the church of Santa Chiara, Piazza del Gesù, Piazza San Domenico and the entrance to the Roman-Greek underground of Neapolis.
Luxury Suite Courts is well connected to the most cultural and historical places of Naples, whether on foot or by bus or underground. In a few minutes you can walk to the Port of Beverello (for sea connections with Capri, Ischia, Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast), Via Toledo / Rome for shopping, Via Caracciolo and Castel dell'Ovo where the funicular allows you to reach the elite district of Vomero, the Certosa di San Martino and Castel Sant 'Elmo.
Finally, Piazza Garibaldi, where the central station of Naples is located, is only a 15-minute walk from the apartment while the Naples Capodichino airport is 20 minutes away by car.

Beautiful Apartment! Great Location! The absolute BEST by far. Our guide Luigi was the most helpful ever!

Spacious apartment as advertised. Modern bathrooms. If hot water diminishes you need to turn off and then turn on both shower taps and it works perfectly. Lift is great...just take your luggage down before leaving the key in the apartment at the end of your stay as you need it for the lift. Laundry was dirty with broken and too much stuff. Payment was tricky ad this is done through the host and took a few phone calls and emails, but all was very friendly and worked out fine.

A gem in the middle of Naples old district.
The owners have clearly tried to preserve the baroque feel with many antiques. The downside to this is furniture that feels a bit too lived-in and is rather uncomfortable to sit on. The beds are fine though, which is hugely important. The dining table has a major wobble which makes for a very uncomfortable and nervous dining experience. But overall, putting up with the furniture foibles in exchange for the period vibe is worth it. HW floors throughout, 24 ft ceilings, 11 ft doors, old world candelabra & wall sconces, decorated with a wide variety of knick-knacks. Clean, tiled bathrooms. The walls have a large collection of fine paintings—many of excellent quality—which is simply astounding in a rental accommodation. The huge frescoe that covers almost the whole of one wall is astonishing—a one-of-a-kind experience among the hundreds of places we’ve stayed in.
Don’t be put off by the dodgy common courtyard or the long climb up the dingy stairs. This is the old district of Naples and that’s how people here live. There’s an absolutely tiny elevator for porting up luggage, but we climbed the four flights of stairs for the exercise. The suite itself is far more rewarding: surprisingly quiet for a place overlooking a major street, really close to everything, huge by Italian standards. We were two couples who found the layout more than sufficient for our needs.
The heating system was adequate to our winter season stay. The kitchen had everything needed and food vendors dot the street outside. You will not go hungry. No clothes washer though. If you are prepared to wash by hand, there’s a clothes line strung across the inner courtyard.
This is not a hotel-like stay. It is an entirely different experience: like stepping back in time to an absentee owner’s lived-in home. Perhaps a dowager who has seen better times and better fortunes, but is now hanging on to her memories, the detritus of a lifetime, and what’s left of once comfortable wealth. We found the place fascinating, atmospheric and rewarding.
We were greeted warmly by Luigi who was waiting for us by the street entrance, but the replies to e-mails could have been more timely. However, this was similar to our experience throughout Italy: Italians seem to prefer a more laid back style without a lot of preparatory planning and scheduling. But things worked out well enough in the end and we were met and greeted properly, with adequate guides and explanations. Overall, good hosts.
