Thanks to the perfect support from owners Donna and Steven we could enjoy our holiday in the villa from the start to the end. Perfectly equipped and well located in Playa Blanca. Views, tranquility and a heated pool made our days, beside tours by car which is highly recommended when you like to explore Lanzarote. We hope to come back to this villa! We stayed at this villa 10 years ago so we were interested to see the changes Donna had made. Lovely new kitchen and all new bathrooms with superb walk in showers. Comfortable, air-conditioned bedrooms and a now extended panoramic view of the coast and across to Fuerteventura. Pool was warm and clean and the garden has a lovely sofa area which is particularly pleasant in the early to mid-mornings. Very enjoyable place to enjoy Playa Blanca from. Recommeded.

We had a week in this villa and wished we could have stayed longer. Clean and very well equipped, we even had a beach parasol. Powerful showers and the pool was really warm and clean. We hired a car but you could easily do without - we walked to the beach and restaurants. The Argentinian restaurant (walk down to seafront, turn right and keep walking, it’s up the steps behind the diving place) was amazing and the Italian in the same place was equally good. We walked up the Montana Roja behind the villa at sunrise one morning, what an experience! You can walk down into the crater which the kids loved. Communication with Donna before and during the holiday was fantastic & she really does go above and beyond to ensure her clients have the best holiday. All in all, we agreed that this was our best family holiday to date and we hope to return one day!

We travelled as 3 generations and the bedroom layout worked well for us. The kitchen and living area are great and well stocked with all you could need, However that's were the positives ended for us. The gardens are in a poor condition, if you are expecting a beautiful well stocked garden as per photos 23 to 29 then you are going to be as disappointed as my parents were. Photo 34 after the garden alterations is probably the closest reflection but in my opinion the garden has declined since then. We also had an issue with the pool due to the pool water being in a poor condition, this took several visits from Karen the property manager and 3 days to resolve. We where advised by Karen this was due to a combination of leaf debris, calima dust and pool filters constantly blocking. We were also advised by Karen that it was safe to use even though you couldn't see the bottom nor the steps into the deep end. The master bedroom bed states king size bed but has a double mattress topper?. There is also no lighting by the gate key box so if you arrive late take a torch. One last thing to note, when your booking is confirmed by VRBO the owner sends you a separate booking agreement to sign and return before you travel. I have never had this before but understand why its sent when you read clause 10 "Liability".

We had a wonderful stay in this villa. It is spacious and well laid out and has a comfortable, homely feel. The pool was lovely and warm and kept clean during our stay, my 2 year old granddaughter couldn’t wait to get in every day. The villa is in a quiet location so little noise at night but it was only a short walk to the lovely Flamingo beach,restaurants and shops. Communication with Donna was great, she was really helpful and answered all our queries very quickly.

Beautiful villa. Everything you need. Close by to all amenities with some lovely places to eat and drink. Slight issue with water but one phone call and between Donna the owner and Karen the property manager it was all sorted. Could not fault booking and correspondence from Donna. She was on hand to answer and advise any questions. Would definitely return.

This is the 3rd time we’ve stayed at the villa and yet again it has not disappointed. You can tell the villa is used by the owner as it is very homely, equipped with everything you can possibly need and the location is great. It’s within easy walking distance to Flamingo beach, which has a selection of restaurants etc. You don’t need to hire a car, but we did as we liked to explore the island. Marina Rubicon is gorgeous, again with lovely shops and restaurants. The children thoroughly enjoyed the Aqua Lava water park, which is conveniently situated around the corner from the villa. We would highly recommend a holiday in this lovely villa.

Having stayed in Playa Blanca many times we were familiar with the area. It’s a great location for easy access to the local beaches and Playa Blanca centre. Donna was a dream to work with around the villa booking and stay. Clean villa with a bed as comfy as at home. Great stay. Would happily recommend

We had a week's break at Casa Rachel. It is a lovely, spacious villa beautifully presented with everything you would need. The outside space is great and the heated pool a huge bonus. It was a short walk to the front but we appreciatd having a car to get to the town centre and better restaurants. A big thank you to Donna for all the information beforehand and for the pleasure of using this villa.

The description and photos of the villa were entirely accurate. It made for a fun holiday, just right for our three generations. The living area is well-designed and warmly decorated. Donna is a perfect host, making sure that our stay was perfect.

Nice villa in a quiet location. The villa has everything you need and would suit a range of ages. Probably a little further out than we may have wanted. Only disappointment for us was that when we originally booked back in 2019 (covid delayed), the villa had a hot tub which is no longer there. I should add that the listing has been updated to reflect that hence the 5 stars its just we were not aware

We have returned again and again, always received personal contact with owner Donna and always loved our visits. Very well equiped close to restaraunts and all this lovely island has to offer.

We were five mature fun loving friends including a very elderly wheel chaired lady. The villa was simply beautiful and brilliant for all our needs. We all loved it and all facilities provided more than met our hopes and expectations . Strongly would recommend to all. The location too was brilliant, so close to the centre and the beach but still very quiet and easy to park your car. We are regular visitors to Lanzarote but haven't experienced any better villa than Casa Rachel. One word about our hostess Donna and her support staff. All were simply friendly, efficient and responsive to all our needs . Thank you so much.

A real home from home. Spacious, great pool and hot tub in a gorgeous colourful garden. Ideal location. No car required. Perfect for a quiet relaxing holiday. Lots of good restaurants close by.

This house was just perfect for us (two families with teen-kids) and we enjoyed it very, very much. The house is perfectly located in walkable distance to the beach and Restaurants, the kitchen was fully equipped so we cooked a lot too. We would love to come back!!!

What a lovely place to stay! Donna has thought of everything to quite literally make it a home from home. The villa is spacious and well laid out and the kitchen has all the crockery, utensils, glasses etc you will ever need. The towels were changed while we were there and the pool man came in twice. We were there a week. We had a tiny hiccup trying to get the tv to work on the first day but Karen, the manager, was literally there within minutes to sort it out once we had messaged Donna. Donna was an amazing host from the second we booked the villa and all throughout our stay, she would answer any questions we messaged her really quickly and do her absolute best to make sure we had the best holiday. We travelled early November and had cloud for a couple of days but the hot tub was a lovely bonus to sit out in when it was like this. We used the BBQ at the villa a couple of times and there is plenty of outdoor seating. The pool was warm enough to float about and relax in when the sun was out. The villa gets the sun all day and there are also areas of shade if you prefer. We didn’t hire a car (we were supposed to but I mucked up the dates, whoops!) So we got a taxi from the airport for 42 euros. Be warned there is a real shortage of hire cars on the island at the moment and the price goes up the nearer to your holiday time so I would recommend booking one well in advance. That being said we didn’t miss having a car in the end as we enjoyed walking. The main beach promenade was only a 5 minute walk away and you could walk for miles. There’s lots of lovely restaurants and bars to stop and enjoy refreshments in along the way. We found the further towards the marina you walked the nicer the restaurants were. If you want a taxi back from where the restaurants are it’s only about 3 euros and there were plenty of taxis at the taxi ranks. We also walked up the side of the big volcano, round the rim and down in to the middle. The whole walk including from the villa and back took about an hour and a half and was well worth it. The views from the top were spectacular! We went as a couple and had a lovely relaxing holiday but the villa is also very well equipped and suitable for families and children. All in all a lovely villa, great location and an amazing host. Thank you!

We were a group of 4, arrived during the middle of lockdown ( with pcr tests!), from the UK, the villa is just as described and perfect for all our needs, best sleep I have ever had in months! .What really touched me was the owner Donna, I have never experienced such wonderful care towards guests , having traveled and stayed in numerous locations around the world. Had a great time in this well proportioned, secluded villa. Lovely sea view too. Had everything we needed. Very well equipped. Refreshing pool and excellent hot tub. Great owner, Donna, was easy to contact and extremely flexible and helpful. Property manager, Karen, also very helpful.

This is a lovely property, the bedroom layout is great for our 3 generation group.The pool surround is brand new and the hot tub large. Loads of equipment for every eventuality in kitchen. Loved the washing machine, Wifi, and hard surface toys for kids. Pool access gradual so great for paddling and wonderful views and garden. Our visit was made during the essential travel only restriction by UK, the local water park was open as were most eateries ( someon reduced hours) and supermarket ( walkable, but easier by cab or car). Housekeeping on a reduced service but any issues were very quickly attended too by the lovely owner Donna who i felt realy cares about her guests experience and is a very experienced proprietor. local agent/ manager Karen on the end of the phone. We had cause to access the local medical center for our 4 yr old. Service was excellent. You need child and adult passport plus EHIC card...our holiday was wonderful and we didnt want to leave. Travel during this restriction was wellsupported by the lanzarote government and by Donna the owner. We will be back .

Unfortunately the day after we arrived, Spain went into lock down, so we had to spend all of our time at the villa. Donna the owner was really good and kept us informed of what was happening. When all this madness is over we will defiantly be returning.

What can you say about Casa Rachel that has not already been said. Firstly it is owned by Donna and Steven, who are so committed to making sure that all their guests have a pleasant stay that they have created a perfect haven around them. The location of the villa is excellent from the views in the garden, and is so well equipped that you don’t need for anything, from all you need for small children like plates,cups,high chairs,cot,to all the safety things they need in the swimming pool. Things like towels are changed every few days we had 3 changes in our 11 day stay. The heated pool is very welcoming if you are staying in the cooler month, we stayed in March. From our experience we would thoroughly recommend a stay at Casa Rachel, we will certainly be going back as it proved to be the best villa we have stayed in with either HomeAway or Air bnb. Playa Blanca is a slightly more laid back place than Playa Carmen but there are plenty of places to eat a walking distance away . An Aqua Park just along the road is a great place for children

This was our first holiday as a family with our 1 year old daughter. The villa was fantastic, it had a lot of toys to keep her occupied and when she had naps the heated pool and hot tub were the perfect way to relax! Restaurants and shops are only a 10 minute walk away and it is well located. Will certainly return again, thank you Donna, we really enjoyed our stay at your villa :)
