My 5 days at Black Pearl Beach with love

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Black Pearl. The manager was so friendly offered us fresh popo for breakfast always out and about making sure property was well maintain. I will recommend to anyone to stay there, so conviences right next door you have petrol stn and store and too top it up yummy ice stn and cheap. Thank you again Black Pearl I will differnately stay there again.

A lovely venue within easy walking distance from the beach, supermarket and restaurant. Very friendly staff. Very tidy grounds and lovely swimming pool. They were very helpful when we asked for a late check out.

Excellent value, spacious, excellent pool ...

We had a very enjoyable stay at Black Pearl. Paul is always very helpful, Rangi awesome, and other staff helpful too. Lovely super clean pool and covered bbq area, rooms very spacious and very clean. Across the road from good snorkelling area, short walk to Aroa Beach for swimming. Nice morning walk to Beluga Cafe each day, a good store almost next door. Wifi - buy Vodafone data next door, reasonable reception at Black Pearl. Our recommendations - day trip to Aitutaki pricey and worth every cent, Vaima restaurant also pricey and worth every cent, book ahead and request table on the beach. Favourite cafes Lazy Trout, Beluga and LBV in Muri. For lunch - Charlies, Maire Nui gardens, Falafel Shack. Dinner - Vaima, Yellow Hibiscus, Muri night markets, Vaima, Waterline.

If you are a very light sleeper, some noise from dogs and roosters at night - every house on Rarotonga seems to have two friendly dogs and there are almost no fences. On the main road but next to no traffic noise at night, bus stop right outside.

Great spot easy to be there

Rangi and Paul were very friendly it has a nice area by the pool for BBQing and eating outside, its opposite a good beach for swimming and snorkelling nice relaxing place

There were a few chipped cups in our unit that should be binned but we forgot to let them know.

Fantastic location and stay

Paul, Rangi and the team are very helpful and knowledgeable. Facilities are fantastic, room had everything we needed and location is great. Right across from the beach. Local shops within walking distance. Exceptional value for money. Thank you so much for having us!

A million out of ten!!!

Honestly, I can’t speak highly enough about this place. Everything about our experience here was incredible and my only regret is that I couldn’t stay longer. Paul is so helpful and made us feel like we were visiting an uncle or staying with a friend’s dad and family. This place is a hidden gem and if I ever come back to Raro, I don’t want to stay anywhere else! Plus the saltwater pool was fantastic!

Wonderful service, thanks for being so helpful and friendly!

We were only there for one night but we were greeted so kindly at night, pointed into the direction of a few places we could get dinner and then helped to book a car the next morning, fantastic service. Super friendly doggo as well!

We were close to the road and had the windows open for air flow so there was quite a bit of traffic noise, but that would’ve most likely not been a problem if we just closed the windows.

Superb

The resort owners Paul and Janelle were cheerful, friendly and very helpful. They hosted a brunch on Christmas day for both family and guests which was a delightful addition to our stay. The rooms, swimmingpool and the whole resort were spotlessly clean. Having a shop and garage right next door was great for buying supplies and topping up the hire car. Whilst the beach right outside the resort is not good for swimming at low tide the marine reserve in front of the Rarotongan Resort is only 10/15 min stroll away and is swimmable at all stages of the tide with some nice coral and fish further out.

It is difficult to find fault with the resort. Maybe a bread knife would have been nice!

Great hosts and staff

Their facilities are all clean, especially loved the swimming pool and common dining area. Host and staff were friendly and helpful. petrol station/convenience store and cafe are right next to the accommodation. Beautiful beaches are just across the road. walking distance to the bike hire shop too!

it’s out of hosts control but dogs around their neighbourhoods area were so loud especially in the night every night. it sounded like they were fighting almost.

A perfect place to stay for an island getaway. It has it all!

Location is wonderful. I like the west side of the island. Less touristy. The beaches are beautiful and with tropical fish to see close to shore. The convenience of a well stoked store nearby and a range of quality restaurants in the area.

The Black Pearl at Puaikura is a great place to stay while on holiday. Excellent customer service.

Excellent, friendly staff who did their utmost to ensure that our family were informed of the best local shopping, rental car hire, favourite restaurants, Entertainment, Markets, the Tides (which is really important), loved that we had our own private beach outside the gates😊 Clean and tidy units and grounds at all times. Thank you Paul and Jane for all the times I had asked for advice,and you catered to our needs. My daughters' birthday was made so special, a day she will not forget...love how you went that extra mile to ensure she had an unforgettable birthday in beautiful Rarotonga. Highly Recommend 'The Black Pearl at Puaikura' to stay while on holiday in beautiful Rarotonga

It's a bargain for the price

My parents enjoyed their stay. It was easy to find and it wasn't far from the city. The beach is right across the road and the rooms look just like the pictures. The staff there were very accommodating. Overall my parents were very happy with their stay and I would recommend this place to everyone.
